Uranium price looking to soar according to Money Week:

Its thought that about 251 new nuclear reactors are being designed or are in planning across the world, said The Times. Many of these are in India or China - China in particular needs to find other ways of driving its economy forward, as the country has serious environmental problems already, caused partly by its reliance on coal-fuelled power plants.

These all require uranium - each new reactor needs 600 tonnes to get started, and 200 a year to keep running, says The Times.

So its no surprise that the price is soaring - and theres an added supply complication with uranium. Analysts reckon the price could go as high as $100 a pound this week.

driver - 16 Apr 2007 12:44 - 7 of 46

No one on this.

Bought in last week also hold VML, any company that has any thing to do with uranium is going to do well, uranium are the new dotcoms and it has been said that we are at 1989 in time scale to the dotcom rush. INDY has a long way to go yet.

capetown - 16 Apr 2007 12:46 - 8 of 46

What is Palladium? Is it used in nuclear reactors as well or??

driver - 16 Apr 2007 13:12 - 11 of 46

Palladium
Palladium, together with rhodium, ruthenium, osmium, iridium, and platinum form a group of elements referred to as the platinum group metals (PGM). Palladium is a lustrous silver-white metal. It has a face-centered cubic crystalline structure, at ordinary temperatures it is strongly resistant to corrosion in air and to the action of acids. It is attacked by hot acids, and it dissolves in aqua regia. It forms many compounds and several complex salts. Palladium has a great ability to absorb hydrogen (up to 900 times its own volume).

Applications

Because of its corrosion resistance, a major use of palladium is in alloys used in low voltage electrical contacts. When it is finely divided, palladium forms a good catalyst and is used to speed up hydrogenation and dehydrogenation reactions.

Palladium is used extensively in jewelry-making in certain alloys called white gold. It may be alloyed with platinum or substituted for it. It is used in watch bearings, springs, and balance wheels and also for mirrors in scientific instruments.

Dunnyspage - 16 Apr 2007 13:14 - 12 of 46

Blimey its finally coming back to life.

G D Potts - 16 Apr 2007 13:15 - 13 of 46

so it doesnt look like it then - unless it can be used as those control rodish things that I think are found in nuclear reactors.

G D Potts - 16 Apr 2007 13:17 - 14 of 46

I hope so dunny - have bought a fair few.

East West Resource Corporation: High Grade Copper Silver Zone Traced at Gazooma Marshall Lake Camp Thunder Bay, Ontario
- 4.47% copper, 86.59g/t silver, 0.629g/t gold over 6.7m.
- Including 6.76% copper, 130.2g/t silver, 0.971g/t gold over 4m.

- 2.45% copper, 47.6g/t silver, 0.34g/t gold over 14.8m.

- Copper zone now 600m long.

- Deeper extensions indicated.
THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 6, 2007) - East West Resource Corporation (TSX VENTURE:EWR) and its joint venture partner Eyeconomy Holdings PLC (UKPLUS:EYE) are pleased to announce the results of drill hole GAZ07-5 in the Gazooma area of the Marshall Lake copper zinc volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) camp. This drill hole was designed to help define the shape and extent of the copper zone.

This "step out" hole is 25m to the west of the Gazooma copper discovery and hole GAZ-06-1, 2 and GAZ-07-4. It intersected the continuation of the high grade copper phase located by hole GAZ-07-4 which assayed 2.23% copper over 11m, see NR April 2, 2007. The true width of the intercept in hole GAZ-07-5 is 14m based on core angles in the hole, however, mineralization extends beyond this interval.

Recent mise-a-la-masse surveys suggest this zone plunges to the northwest and dips west-northwest. The zone may be shaped by a fold structure which resulted in a thickening of the mineralized sulphides in the Gazooma area. This additional structural information assists in resolving the complex shape and extent of this zone.

Regional induced polarization "IP" surveys indicate Gazooma is the western end of a 600m long sulphide zone that trends through Teck Hill to the southeast. The northward extension of the mineralized zone from Gazooma may eventually join parts of the Cherry Hill or North Gazooma zones located 500m and 700m away respectively.

Geophysical data and projection of the drill hole intercepts indicate the presence of a deeper extent to the zone which will be followed up by future drill programs.

Gazooma is now the primary focus of the current exploration plan at Marshall Lake copper zinc VMS camp. The "Greater" Gazooma area is three by two kilometres and contains 10 copper zones. The primary exploration focus is to identify mineralized areas and then to link these together.

When analysing for basemetal and silver values (Copper, Zinc and Silver) were determined by ICP (inductively coupled plasma) after an aqua regia acid digestion. Assays exceeding 100 grams silver and 10,000 parts per million (ppm) copper were repeated using multi acid digestion and atomic absorption (AA). Check assays were run on high values. A standard sample is submitted for verification of accuracy. Gold values were determined by fire assay extraction on 30-gram samples followed by an AA finish.

ALS Chemex in Thunder Bay carried out preparations of the samples outlined in this news release and ALS Chemex in North Vancouver carried out assaying.

The project set out above is being supervised by R. Middleton, P.Eng, who is the qualified person and responsible for quality control of the assaying and reporting. Detailed assays for this drill hole are available on the company's website at www.eastwestres.com.

About the Marshall Lake Camp:

East West Resource Corporation and Eyeconomy Holdings PLC each hold a 50% interest in the all year round road accessible Marshall Lake Copper Zinc VMS camp located 310 kilometers north of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.

The Marshall Lake area was explored between 1954 and 1996 leading to a series of historic high grade near surface copper zinc discoveries. The exploration area is more than forty-three square miles.

This historic mineral property became road accessible after 2000 following the completion of all weather roads by logging operators. Access now permits the deployment of heavy digging equipment, modern geophysical tools and significantly reduces exploration costs.

During the second half of 2006 the joint venture partners built a network of drill access trails focusing on exposing the existing showings which resulted in a major VMS copper zinc discovery at Gazooma on the Marshall Lake Camp in December 2006.

The partner's long-term strategy is to define and develop near surface base metal resources on the property while considering the deeper potential of the property as the database is developed. The joint venture partners each contribute 50% to ongoing exploration expenditure.

This news release contains forward-looking statements within the meaning of the "safe harbour" provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. These forward-looking statements are subject to risks and uncertainties and other factors that may cause East West Resource Corporation's results to differ materially from expectations. These include risks relating to market fluctuations, property performance and other risks. These forward-looking statements speak only as of the date hereof.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD
