Got the first link today.
However all the pages are blank !!
Please advise.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 24 May 2007 12:53 - 6 of 70

foale,

we have just taken a look and it has been sent out to your E mail - I could only imagine that it has been marked as spam on its way to you - I will forward you the link manually.

Ian

lanayel - 24 May 2007 12:54 - 7 of 70

Hi Ian

Loaded flash successfully but still have blank pages. The rest of the bits seem to be OK (for example I typed in Vodafone in the search facility and the links for page 47 and one other page came up ok - however, when I clicked on the link then a blank page 47 came up !!).

IanT(MoneyAM) - 24 May 2007 12:57 - 8 of 70

lanayel,

It is hard to say what is causing this, but it does seem to be with the way Flash is dealing with it on your machine. Have you tried a restart since loading flash? Also is it a personal computer or a work machine? It may be that either a firewall or corporate firewall is interfering with it and blcoking flash.

Ian

foale - 24 May 2007 20:49 - 9 of 70

rayrac - 12 Jun 2007 09:16 - 14 of 70

Just wish I could log on to Stockwatch, don't much like paying for something and then not getting it!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 12 Jun 2007 09:17 - 15 of 70

rayrac,

Please accept my apologies for this - there appears to be a conflict between some users java and the java in the applet which runs the streaming prices - James is working a new aplet which should solve this issue and we hope to have it resolved as soon as possible,

Ian

Ian

Self19 - 13 Jun 2007 11:23 - 20 of 70

ian - i click on the link and nothing happens - doesn't matter as i just paste the link - funnily enough, i never buy share mags and hate reading stuff on line, but after having a look, i think i might start buying it (on paper that is).

IanT(MoneyAM) - 13 Jun 2007 11:29 - 21 of 70

Cliffibank - 10 Jul 2007 21:08 - 29 of 70

Got my free access to this and my Shares magazine is in the post..... can I still get an online version of the magazine? If so how do I access it without registering again please?
Cheers!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 11 Jul 2007 10:14 - 30 of 70

Cliffibank,

I can see that you are current subscriber to the magazine with weekly delivery. If you use your your current login and click on the Shares Digital button you shoudl be able to access the online version.

Ian

notlob - 11 Jul 2007 12:16 - 31 of 70

got my free trial as well, perhaps I'm doing something wrong, need new glasses or both!-but I find the electronic format user unfriendly, difficult to read + can't be bothered with it-I like Shares mag, + will stick to buying the odd copy at WH Smiths, much better.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 11 Jul 2007 12:20 - 32 of 70

notlob,

You may or may not be aware of this, but there is a function will allows you to zoom in and read it more clearly by clicking on the area you want to read, you can also drag the page around as you go. Also if you click on the save button you can view it in PDF format as well.

Ian

notlob - 12 Jul 2007 15:22 - 33 of 70

thanks, IanT
found pdf format a big improvement

David10B - 14 Jul 2007 12:39 - 34 of 70

Hi Ian I cant open this week's issue, the page in fact opens but its blank..cheers David

IanT(MoneyAM) - 16 Jul 2007 07:30 - 35 of 70

David,

Are you still having any problems with this - it could be flash related,

Ian

David10B - 16 Jul 2007 08:28 - 36 of 70

Ian thank you all sorted now sincerly David

winner111 - 16 Jul 2007 16:15 - 37 of 70

ian,i have just received an email saying my free trial has expired!but i only ever received
one electronic copy, should i re-enter my details and sign up again?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 Jul 2007 07:03 - 38 of 70

winner,

From our records, it looks like you originally signed up for the trial on 17/05/07, which means you should have received at least 4 copies by now. The only thing I can think of is that you ISP has marked the three missing ones as spam for some reason. Do you have an alternate E mail address we could try (NB do not post your E mail address here, please e mail it directly to me - ian@moneyam.com)

Thanks

Ian

Tole - 19 Jul 2007 20:37 - 39 of 70

Hmmm getting issues opening the free copies this week?? No idea why??

Application hangs and numerous repeat error messages are being flagged up....

"A scipt in this movie is causing Adobe Falsh Player 9 to run slowly. If it continues to run, you computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort this script?"

Any help?

Kyoto - 20 Jul 2007 01:29 - 40 of 70

Yes, I'm getting the same problem as Tole. Tried with Firefox and IE and no luck with downloading in either of them - and the virtualcatalogue.co.uk site it ends up crashing both browsers.

I suppose there's no chance of bringing back the direct links to the PDFs? Simple, quick, painless. I don't want to read online in Adobe's Flashpaper and endure the slow process of it starting up every time, and access to virtualcatalogue.co.uk is sporadic from where I am anyway. Because I'm in Asia I don't get the print version sent to me any more which must save some money and make me an ideal subscriber, but it's getting to the point where the troubles I have just getting to download the PDF every week are making me think it's not worth subscribing any more.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jul 2007 07:02 - 41 of 70

Guys,

We will take a look into this,

Ian

Tole - 20 Jul 2007 08:36 - 42 of 70

Thanks Ian.
Know it cant just be me...have tried on 5 different PC's and getting the same response.

After clicking the link and having sharesdigital open in a new browser...the application begins to open (Displaying the Sharesdigital borders and navigation bar) and then teh application hangs prio to displaying the actual magazine. Numerous repeat error messages then appear (As stated in previous post) Whether you stop the script or not the application fails to continue.

Hope you have some joy. :)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jul 2007 08:38 - 43 of 70

Tole,

No don't worry it is not you - we are working to resolve this - apologies for the inconvenience,

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jul 2007 09:14 - 44 of 70

Guys,

This should now be fixed - apologies to all for the inconvenience,

Ian

Tole - 20 Jul 2007 09:51 - 45 of 70

Thx Ian...all working fine now (though a stonking 36mb file this week)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jul 2007 09:56 - 46 of 70

Tole,

We will take a look into that as well,

Ian

HARRYCAT - 06 Aug 2007 14:43 - 47 of 70

Ian,
Last Shares Mag I received was volume 9, issue 30 dated 26th July/1st Aug.
Has there been a mag since? It normally arrives here every thursday, but postman been & no mag!
Thanks

redsub - 06 Aug 2007 21:48 - 48 of 70

Same here no mag from last Thursday!! had a look at it online..

maddoctor - 06 Aug 2007 22:14 - 49 of 70

same here

IanT(MoneyAM) - 07 Aug 2007 07:02 - 50 of 70

Guys,

I can only assume that this is due to recent industrial action by the postal service. I will however double check with Shares magazine. Should there be any problems I will notify you directly.

Ian

maddoctor - 07 Aug 2007 11:16 - 51 of 70

mag has turned up

IanT(MoneyAM) - 07 Aug 2007 11:17 - 52 of 70

mad,

Does look like the delay was caused by the industrial action I am afraid.

Ian

Chalkie - 07 Aug 2007 14:36 - 53 of 70

Ian

Slightly off topic but you are still advertising Money AM Level 2 at 32.50 in shares magazine!!

Just thought you ought to be aware

Andrew

IanT(MoneyAM) - 07 Aug 2007 14:36 - 54 of 70

Chalkie,

I will get production to take a look into that.

Ian

umax - 10 Aug 2007 13:38 - 55 of 70

I take a dim view of the childish, petty ignornat posters that resort to unwarrented and unprovoked name calling. It brings the tone of these BBs down to gutter level.

Please take a look at the WNG thread and PT Holdens posts.

In line with your declared position I now ask you to do the right thing and ban this poster for personal abuse.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 Aug 2007 13:44 - 56 of 70

umax,

All threads are being monitored as they always are, for signs of personal abuse, multiple usernames and any other breach of our codes of conduct.

Ian

umax - 10 Aug 2007 14:17 - 57 of 70

that being so then please act as the abuse is begining to get out of hand as you can see if you are monitoring as you state/

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 Aug 2007 14:19 - 58 of 70

umax,

I have removed the word in question from the post. I would suggest that if you did not refer to david10b as often people would be less quick to jump to conclusions as is the case on the thread you mentioned.

Enjoy the rest of your day,

Ian

umax - 10 Aug 2007 14:26 - 59 of 70

The run was about the guy so how can you not refer to him/it/her? These BB have a certain element of bias disruptive childishness runing through them.

I am not responsible for illconsidered conclusions but in any event nothing has been posted that warrented the abuses you seem to be happy to tolerate.

Clearly Holden should be banned for such an unprovoked attack.

ptholden - 10 Aug 2007 19:11 - 60 of 70

Guess which one is David10B? :))

PS. Ian, nearly forgot why I came on this thread, I seem to be having problems receiving my copies of the mag?

pth

HARRYCAT - 10 Aug 2007 23:18 - 61 of 70

A number of us have, pth.
I got the last two copies on the same day (i.e. one was a week late).
Not sure if it was a delay at Shares Mag or prioritising by the Post Office, hence mags are sidelined for delivery behind other letters. Other mail that I get weekly has been delayed as well, so it would seem likely it is a backlog at the Royal Mail.

umax - 11 Aug 2007 11:07 - 62 of 70

Again this poster should clearly be banned according your very own protocol.

Time to clean up your act Ian?

ptholden - 11 Aug 2007 18:31 - 63 of 70

David, stare at this for a couple of hours, with any luck it might finally tip you over the edge - LoL :))))

IanT(MoneyAM) - 13 Aug 2007 07:32 - 64 of 70

pt,

re Shares magazine - I can only asume that this is due to the recent postal disputes - please let me know if you have any problems this week,

Ian

SECRUOSER - 16 Aug 2007 16:22 - 65 of 70

Cheers.

Big Al - 21 Aug 2007 16:31 - 66 of 70

I got last week's email and when I follow the link it says I've reached the page in error.

;-(((

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Aug 2007 09:47 - 67 of 70

Al,

We will take a look at that - can you forward the E mail to me please? iam@moneyam.com

Thanks

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Aug 2007 10:15 - 68 of 70

Al,

I have spoken to Karl, and he says that it may be the way your e mail client is wrapping the text. Could you try copy and pasting the link into a browser to see if it works like that please?

Ian

Big Al - 22 Aug 2007 10:38 - 69 of 70

Just replied, Ian and no joy with that. The original email link was not wrapped. Copied and pasted that one too. ;-0

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Aug 2007 10:40 - 70 of 70

Thanks Al,

I will get Karl on it,

Ian
