Hello traders!

The reporting season hots up this week with the first of the banking sector
producing numbers.

This week's contenders are very much "mortgage" and "savings" orientated, so it
will be interesting to see if there is any fallout from recent interest rate changes
and a modest decline in the UK housing market. Bad debt provisions will also be
closely scrutinised...

Oil majors are also carded to come up with numbers, with Shell reportedly
earning a very cool 430 per second during the period. Market-watchers are
likely to be more focused on production figures than raw financial stats.

Should be another volatile week. Milk & honey for traders... :)

Good hunting!

        JOKE OF THE DAY

Flooding
Once upon a time there was a huge flood in a village
and a man was stuck on his roof.

A helicopter came and the man inside said "Come we'll save you!".
The man on the roof said, "No! The Lord will save me."

As the helicopter left, a boat came, "Come, we'll save you!".
The man shook his head, "No! The Lord will save me."

As the boat left, another helicopter came but the man
told them the same thing, "The Lord will save me."

Two hours later the man drowned.

As he was going up the white elevator towards the big
white gate into heaven, he spoke to St. Peter,
"But why? Why didn't the Lord save me?"

"Well he sent you two helicopters and a boat, what do you expect?"
