In the US tonight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 23 points at
12,302, with the S&P 500 off 4.5 points at 1,328, while the Nasdaq Composite
lost 14 points at 2,275.

In Asia today, the Hang Seng ended the morning down 12.83 points at 23,798.37,
while the Nikkei was recently up 68.54 points at 12,986.05.

New York's main oil contract, light sweet crude for May delivery, briefly traded at a
new intraday peak of $112.48 before easing to $112.33.
