We are sorry that you are experiencing problems with changing your portfolio.
This may be due to the selection not being valid and an error message being displayed or "red cards" from the Referee on the right hand side under the allocation pie chart. Please check carefully for large red warning messages above the selection when you have pressed the save button.
If a selection has been saved, a large blue confirmation message will be displayed, please carefully check the confirmation of the changes to ensure they are as you wish to request. You may find it useful to make the changes in the following order:
1. Remove funds that you wish to sell
2. Add new funds
3. Re-balance the remaining funds
4. Check that all allocations and funds are as you expect
5. Save selection
Alternatively your selection may have been removed by you "amending" a previously saved selection. Once you have a saved selection, if you press the "amend" button before it has been processed, this will remove it from the queue and you will need to re-save it again and wait until the time that is shown in the confirmation. Please note that all trades before 12 noon are processed the same night, after 12 noon are processed the following night.

Haystack,
The small trades are re-balance trades, they are detailed in-depth in the FAQ section on the website:
My Trades History shows small amounts of buys and sells for my funds. Why is this?
From your account holdings/transactions and portfolio I can see that if you were trying to sell out of JPMorgan Global Ex UK Bond and reinvest in a Specialist/Equity fund you would not have been allowed due to the maximum Specialist/Equity rule, which is 75% of the portfolio. A large red error message would have been displayed above the selection.
Please see another FAQ relating to problems changing your portfolio:

Not looking too good :( How can I lose 9.22% in one day, when the fund in question (L&G UK Alpha) only dropped by 0.39% yesterday?? Do you pay the full bid/offer spread (which no-one does in real life). That's going to severely restrict it if you can lose that much on the bid/offer. It effectively means you shouldn't use unit trusts as they can never hope to keep pace with OEIC's which are single priced.

It seems that you do lose the bid/offer on unit trusts in addition to the 0.5-1% commission, although no official is commenting on the issue on their forum. I'm quite sure this didn't happen last year. Best option would be to avoid them altogether I think - you can lose as much as 10% just on the initial charges.

Not if my performance has anything to do with it! Although I think having to ditch 3 or 4 auto-selected stocks on Day 1 didn't help very much

They won't tell you... But there's at least 32,000 individuals taking part (because I was roughly in position 32,000 on day one!). You can supposedly view the top 250 teams on the site, but it doesn't work for me, I just get a blank page.

The top 250 teams does work sometimes. I seem to remember there were about 80 teams.

That 5th place is a bit artificial for the month. There hasn't been a trading day yet. I bet it is random as no one can be up or down on the month yet. We will soon be back to our correct place after midnight tonight.

It all went pear shaped in late September for me!! The overall top team is 0.01% in the blue, so it's probably fair to say very few are doing great..
