MoneyAM Users Xmas drinkies- LONDON - Wednesday 8th December 7pm

IanT(MoneyAM) - 11 Nov 2010 07:35

All,

Due to popular demand, we are going to revive the age old xmas tradition of xmas drinks.

This year, in a break with tradition, we are going to take a relaxed approach to organisation, and meet up for drinks followed by a restaurant in the west end.

So for starters we are going to be rendez vousing at the Cambridge Pub, 93 Charing Cross Road, London, WC2H 0DP (detials on link below) at 7pm on the 8th Dec.

http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/63/6375/Cambridge/Soho

Then we will go onto the Harbour City Chinese in Chinatown:

Harbour City

46 Gerrard Street
W1D 5QH

I have booked a limited number of places, so it really is first come first served - I shall assume those that say they are coming are going to come to the restaurant as well unless you state otherwise. The restaurant is not buffet style.

If you are interested please post on here:

Attendees:

Bullshare
IanT(MoneyAM)
Dynamite & Gary
Bones
Martini
Gausie
Andy
Kayak
Bobcolby

Gausie - 11 Nov 2010 08:30 - 2 of 97

Tabasco and I will be coming as a couple.

Martini - 11 Nov 2010 08:54 - 3 of 97

Good to see the Counselling worked and you have now found the strength to move on from AJ. I will be there.

Dynamite - 11 Nov 2010 09:02 - 4 of 97

Thank you Ian and Bully for organising the Xmas 'do'. It will be wonderful to see you all again and meet some new faces too no doubt. Gary and I will be there of course and I will have my camera at the ready especially for Mike :-)
Di

Dynamite - 11 Nov 2010 09:03 - 5 of 97

Gausie you always did like saucy things :-)

Big Al - 11 Nov 2010 10:01 - 6 of 97

OK, put me down too. Not literally of course! ;-))

Bullshare - 11 Nov 2010 10:45 - 7 of 97

Oh god not Big Al, another day we will have to sweep him out of the gutter ;-0) perhaps you can take over from the late and sorely missed MG and wear the honorary thong this year !!!

Big Al - 11 Nov 2010 11:15 - 8 of 97

Still got the tie I bought off him a few years ago. That might have to suffice. Won't be the same without him, that's for sure. An absolute gem of a guy. ;-)

Bones - 11 Nov 2010 11:25 - 9 of 97

Thank you Ian. My diary is swept clear along with Big Al :)

It will good to see some old (even older) faces from a bygone era!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 11 Nov 2010 11:26 - 10 of 97

I have booked a retsaurant now - Habour City in chinatown, have added it to th header. I will take it that those who are coming will be going for the meal as well unless you state otherwise,

Thanks

Ian

Dynamite - 11 Nov 2010 13:42 - 11 of 97

Ian,

You should put this thread on the Investors side too...as some people only look there and I know some of them normally go to Xmas bashes :-)
Di

tabasco - 18 Nov 2010 13:24 - 12 of 97

I do hope Gausie remembers his tommee tippeeand bouncy his Carter's Classic Comfort Reclining Wood High Chairmight I suggest Nestles Good Start for Gausieand Similac Advanced for bouncyhes hyper!.Gausie mum will vouch for his ticket!

Di

tabasco - 18 Nov 2010 15:01 - 14 of 97

Difunnily enough we are at a friends birthday bash and not a million miles from your venue on that second Wednesday in Decemberit would be fun to put a face to Gausie and bouncyI suppose it will be business as usual for bouncyjust the one ticket!
Have a great night!

Gausie - 18 Nov 2010 15:04 - 15 of 97

Umm, Dynamite, Tabby's post is the harbinger of similar nonsense from the investors board. Tabby is a fearsome internet keyboard-warrior and an internationally renowned campaigner for pineapple rights. Truly a legend in his own Gillingham IP address.

I very much doubt he'll show his face in the real world.

tabasco - 18 Nov 2010 15:12 - 16 of 97

GausielolDi seems to think its ok to bring your high chair and tommee tippee why not?btw never been called a warrior beforequite flattering..

aldwickk - 19 Nov 2010 07:45 - 17 of 97

Keyboard warrior being a backhanded compliment ..... Tabby

tabasco - 19 Nov 2010 07:55 - 18 of 97

Im shocked!Tommee Tipee being a frontal eating aid Aldo

Bullshare - 19 Nov 2010 09:36 - 19 of 97

Look guys if you want to post crap go off and post it elsewhere, this is a thread about getting 'civil' MoneyAM users together for a drink.

tabasco - 19 Nov 2010 09:53 - 20 of 97

BullshareI entirely agreeI refer you to post NUMBER 2...that will be the post after Ians 'civil' MoneyAM users get together for a drink offer!

Dil - 19 Nov 2010 15:00 - 21 of 97

Come to the Cardiff one Tabby I'll buy you a coke.

Martini - 20 Nov 2010 01:28 - 22 of 97

Come out of Wales Dil and I will pay for your train fair :)

Sue 42 - 20 Nov 2010 04:58 - 23 of 97

Sadly can't make it - it's my company's Xmas do - but as I may be getting thrown out soon - I'll keep the date in the diary just in case.

Ah the joys of contracting

Dil - 20 Nov 2010 15:23 - 24 of 97

I'll check my passport M but I think I got deported from there once.

:-)

Gausie - 20 Nov 2010 17:07 - 25 of 97

Umm, Ian, it seems Tabby and I are having a bit of a lovers' spat. I guess I'll have to come alone.

Andy - 21 Nov 2010 09:18 - 26 of 97

Please put me down for a place.

cynic - 23 Nov 2010 16:45 - 27 of 97

it all depends on the virulence of the strain of AIDS that is prevalent in Kenya - i get back from there on 4th (biz!!), so may be confined to barracks

Balerboy - 23 Nov 2010 18:22 - 28 of 97

Inner tube for protection and a large scrubbing brush should do the trick, cyners....

Kayak - 30 Nov 2010 16:05 - 29 of 97

I should be able to make it, will be great to see the same old ones :-)

Bobcolby - 03 Dec 2010 11:45 - 30 of 97

Ian

Please put me down as a definite maybe. If there is snow about I will not make it.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 03 Dec 2010 11:48 - 31 of 97

Bob,

will do - hopefully it should be a snow free event,

Ian

This_is_me - 03 Dec 2010 15:30 - 32 of 97

Are we not going to Dublin for their 7,000,000,000 Christmas bash that we are paying for?

Big Al - 06 Dec 2010 07:58 - 33 of 97

Well, folks, I'm afraid I'm going to have to pull out. Can't organise a couple of things properly to fit.

It would have been good to see everyone again. Have a great evening.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 06 Dec 2010 08:00 - 34 of 97

Al,

thats a shame - I will take you off the list,

Ian

Big Al - 06 Dec 2010 11:18 - 35 of 97

Yeah, sorry for last minute notice, Ian.

Andy - 06 Dec 2010 16:54 - 36 of 97

Maybe Dil could take Al's place?

It's about time he ventured over the border!

Big Al - 06 Dec 2010 17:50 - 37 of 97

Dil might be digging sheep out of the snow, Andy.

Personally I was looking forward to buying a wee drinkie for everyone! Spent the dosh on snow shovels unfortunately. ;-) I'd even have bought Tabby a vodka to stick in the coke Dil got him. ;-))))

ExecLine - 07 Dec 2010 10:08 - 38 of 97

If you like a good night out in the City, then you'd better be very quick with this one!

http://www.keynoir.com/london/deals/entrance-to-all-the-hottest-clubs-in-london-with-a-TLC-Clubcard?utm_content=new+member&utm_medium=daily-deal-email&utm_source=user&utm_term=5VJFY0

Only 51 left as I type.

Top three things you need to know
1. Free entry to all of London's Finest Clubs: Mahiki, Boujis, Kensington Roof Gardens, Chinawhite, Raffles, Maggies, Movida, Amika, Valmont, Embargo 59, Kitts, Chloe, Kingly, Kanaloa
2. Access to Exclusive Private Members Clubs: Raffles, Maggies
3. Ease of use: either turn up or pre-book

Seymour Clearly - 07 Dec 2010 11:56 - 39 of 97

Interesting. 115 left now Exec!

No use to me anyway as I'm oop north.

Bones - 07 Dec 2010 13:53 - 40 of 97

Not for me. Once I've said my goodbyes tomorrow evening, I'll be on the first train out of that godforsaken town!

Haystack - 07 Dec 2010 14:54 - 41 of 97

137 available now.

Andy - 07 Dec 2010 14:59 - 42 of 97

Big Al,

LOL!

I was hoping to sit on the same table as yourself, Dil, Gausie, and Tabasco!

tabasco - 07 Dec 2010 15:12 - 43 of 97

You wouldnt want that Andy

Big Al - 07 Dec 2010 15:17 - 44 of 97

I'm sure we'd all get on famously after a couple of liveners, Andy! ;-)))

tabasco - 07 Dec 2010 15:20 - 45 of 97

It would make West Ham v Millwall look like The Sound Of Music.even when we buy James Henry

Andy - 07 Dec 2010 17:23 - 46 of 97

:-)

The very prospect would probably bring in a few exta people for the evenings hostilities!

Greystone - 07 Dec 2010 19:10 - 47 of 97

I had been hoping to make it over but a mix of weather and my limited mobility have made
me decide to give it a miss until next year....

I hope you all have a great time!

Alan

Andy - 07 Dec 2010 22:33 - 48 of 97

I'll probably go directly to the restaurant, what time is the reservation for please?

Andy - 07 Dec 2010 22:34 - 49 of 97

Alan,

Shame, it would have been good to see you again.

I presume you're still in Spain, so probably a lot warmer than we are at present!

Bones - 08 Dec 2010 08:26 - 50 of 97

hmmm, where are Pinsticker and The Count! these days? :)

Bullshare - 08 Dec 2010 08:47 - 51 of 97

Andy; i reckon we should be there by 8.30.

Look forward to seeing everyone later

Dil - 08 Dec 2010 09:46 - 52 of 97

Dynamite - 08 Dec 2010 10:11 - 53 of 97

Gausie - 08 Dec 2010 13:23 - 59 of 97

Andy - 08 Dec 2010 13:30 - 60 of 97

Bullshare,

Many thanks.

Dil,

We're sure you'll find it by tonight!

Andy - 08 Dec 2010 13:31 - 61 of 97

Bones,

I would imagine The Count! will be at the Deltex Medical meeting not far away this evening!

The Harbour City has some good reviews on the web, looks good....

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Dec 2010 13:32 - 62 of 97

Andy,

Just to let you know the booking is in the name of Ian Taylor, however, there was quite some language barrier when I called to book a few weeks ago, so could be in any name :)

Ian

Dynamite - 08 Dec 2010 14:17 - 63 of 97

Andy, Just look out for the rowdy table..Gausie is coming!!!

Andy - 08 Dec 2010 14:48 - 64 of 97

IanT,

I can imagine, thanks!

Dynamite,

:-)

Dynamite - 08 Dec 2010 14:54 - 65 of 97

Talking of which my carriage will be here in 30 mins so see you all later xx
Di

MightyMicro - 08 Dec 2010 22:26 - 66 of 97

I'm so sorry that I couldn't be with you all. However, I do look forward to the inevitable incriminating piccies.

Dil - 08 Dec 2010 23:08 - 67 of 97

I got sent one MM but my phone refuses to accept it and don't know how to change the settings.

Bones - 09 Dec 2010 08:15 - 68 of 97

It was a tremendous pleasure to catch up with the crew again. Everyone was on form and it is hard to believe it has been 4 years since the last London gathering. It seems to have been a time warp as no-one looked any different to me. Not a grey hair on Bullshare either.

The likes of Monticello and Meldex got a mention, as did Welsh Wales and Ebbw Vale. You should have got a temporary passport, Dil, and popped along!

Good pub and scrumptious Chinese food was had by all. I think Dyna's camera made an occasional appearance but we were most relieved that not a single nipple or thong appeared all evening. The memory of the much missed MG was toasted.

Thanks to Dynamite and IanT for the trouble taken to arrange the evening!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all!

Spaceman - 09 Dec 2010 08:33 - 69 of 97

Bones sounds like a good evening, when you say "Not a grey hair on Bullshare either" you must mean either "Not a hair on Bullshare either" or "Bullshares recent hair transplant looked magnificent"

;-)

and yes I know I don't have much hair either ;-)

Gausie - 09 Dec 2010 08:54 - 70 of 97

I hope you all had a super time. I'm so sorry I couldn't make it.

G

Bones - 09 Dec 2010 09:33 - 71 of 97

Spaceman - you got it in two!

Can the real Gausie please stand up?

Andy - 09 Dec 2010 09:59 - 72 of 97

Yes, an excellent evening with good people.

My thanks to Dynamite and Ian too for taking the trouble to arrange it, and I hope the London event will return to being an annual one, rather than every leap year!

Bones,

Speak for yourself!

What exactly is wrong with nipples and thongs?

It depends who's wearing them of course, and if it were anyone else but Dynamite I would be in agreement with you!

Gausie - 09 Dec 2010 10:04 - 73 of 97

Bones and Andy - you're so shockingly politically incorrect and disrespectful in the way you objectify women. You need to take account of Tim's words.

Bones - 09 Dec 2010 10:39 - 74 of 97

Excellent Gausie :) I am glad such a high profile comedian made use of your material.

Bullshare - 09 Dec 2010 11:53 - 75 of 97

Really good evening and thanks to all for taking the trouble to come out on such a cold old nite. Nice to see some old faces and greeat to be able relax and catch up on everyone's news

Mike

Dil - 09 Dec 2010 13:28 - 76 of 97

"old faces" .... he talking bout you again Gausie :-)

Martini - 09 Dec 2010 13:45 - 77 of 97

Great to see everyone again.

There I was having "a letch" with my Iphone and trying to get a nice shot of two t**s when suddenly a third one appeared stage left.

Isaacs - 09 Dec 2010 14:54 - 78 of 97

Did Ruth order a granny gram again :-)

Big Al - 09 Dec 2010 15:04 - 79 of 97

M - could you crop that please? Talk about beauty(s) and the beast! :-)))

Martini - 09 Dec 2010 15:21 - 80 of 97

As requested Al sorry if it/they were too big for you

Dil - 09 Dec 2010 16:35 - 81 of 97

lol

Bullshare - 09 Dec 2010 16:57 - 82 of 97

Martini; Did gausie get that fiver you owed him?

Dynamite - 09 Dec 2010 17:08 - 83 of 97

Hi Everyone,
I'm finally back but it looks like my boobs got here before me!!! Why do I always pull funny faces :-( on camera...still its better than the red wine I threw over Bob oooops!

I fun night was had by all I think except all the men seem to be turning into techno phone nerds

Dynamite - 09 Dec 2010 18:24 - 84 of 97

Well having problems uploading my photos at the moment...anyway:The conversation covered most topics last night and it was great to see that none of you have lost your sense of humor. Gausie is worried by Grey hair and is very cunning about his star sign :-)
Bones hasn't lost that sparkle in his eye and gave a very warm welcome. Mike is just Mike and he doesn't have to worry about the grey hair but as my pictures wil show when I upload them spent alot of time looking down!
Kayak has had enough of us all and is training to be a lawyer but it was great he turned up. Ian was as cheery as ever...I think it has to do with the part of the world he is now living cos' it can't be working with Mike!
It was lovely to see so many old faces including Martini and his Kindle and Andy and his wit.
We must definitely do it again next year and I think Bollywood Indian is gonna be the thing.

Big Al - 10 Dec 2010 13:21 - 96 of 97

The usual suspects seem to have turned up. ;-)))

M - as regards the cropping, I was rather hoping you'd chop out the "beast" leaving only the beauty rather than reduce the size of the image. Couldn't see much wrong with that. LOL!

Dynamite - 10 Dec 2010 18:21 - 97 of 97

Thank you Mike and Ian for arranging the Xmas bash. We all had a lovely time and it was excellent to catch up with everyone again.
Have a fantastic Christmas.
