Trading Update

Distil PLC (AIM: Dis), the AIM quoted owner of premium drinks brands, is pleased to give an update on trading for the year ended 31 March 2014.

The fourth quarter saw the conclusion of our move from being a UK Distributor of third party brands to being a business entirely focused on the development of our owned brands and, as a result, we decided to change the name of the Company to Distil PLC. This new name better describes the nature of our products: distilled spirits, and also reflects the growing breadth of all of our brands rather than appearing as a single brand company.

In May 2013 we acquired Blackwoods gin and vodka, Diva vodka and Jago's cream liqueur, and have spent much of the last year working on making improvements to these products and their packaging. This work is now complete for Blackwoods with the launch of Blackwoods vodka in March 2014 (Vintage Dry Gin and Limited Edition 60% ABV were launched in Sept 2013), both Diva's and Jago's development are now nearing completion with Diva being launched in the coming quarter and Jago's planned for launch prior to the peak Christmas 2014 trading period.

RedLeg Spiced Rum continues to grow and expand its distribution and consumer following.

Equally important have been our efforts to expand the geographical distribution of our brands and to improve their market coverage. In January 2014 we announced the appointment of The Water Company as our exclusive distributor for Blackwoods and RedLeg Spiced Rum in Spain, one of the largest markets for Gin and Rum in the world. We are also currently active in discussions with a number of parties to appoint a new distributor for Blavod Black Vodka in the US to help us expand in this important export market.

We have continued to make improvements to the Company's financial controls and now invoice all sales transactions in sterling rather than local currency. This provides greater pricing stability between markets and reduces currency exposure risk. Our use of our factoring facility has been minimal since the successful fund raising in October 2013 and this facility came to a contractual end at the end of April 2014. Primarily therefore, expenditure in this quarter has been on brand redesign, brand development, product improvement and social media.

AGM Statement

Distil (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands including Blavod Black Vodka, Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, RedLeg Spiced Rum and Jago's Cream Liqueur will hold its Annual General Meeting today at its offices 39/40 Albemarle Street, London, W1S 4TE at 12.00pm. At the meeting, Don Goulding, Executive Chairman will make the following statement:

"Since the beginning of the new financial year we have continued to make steady progress in developing our own brands and increasing their sales across the UK and international markets. Blackwoods Gin and RedLeg rum are outperforming the market and their categories.

We are in the process of launching the newly designed and reformulated Jago's Vanilla Cream Liqueur, made with premium vodka based on a recipe by Tom Jago. Jago's is made using real dairy cream and is perfectly placed to fill a niche in the market for cream based liqueurs and I'm pleased to report that it has been well received by a number of the UK retailers.

We have now identified, and agreed terms with, two US distributors covering Blackwoods, RedLeg and Blavod. We are currently awaiting approval from the authorities and once confirmed we will make a more detailed announcement. Our expectation is that approval will be granted by mid August.

Overall market conditions vary significantly by country and region. The common theme of premium brands outpacing the overall market continues.

We will launch Diva vodka in our third quarter as planned."

Trading Update

Distil (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands Blavod Black Vodka, Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, RedLeg Spiced Rum, Jago's Cream Liqueur and Diva provides the following trading update:

At the annual general meeting in July this year, we announced that we had agreed terms with two US distributors for Blavod Vodka, Blackwoods Gin and Blackwoods Vodka, subject to approval from the US Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). At that time, we expected this approval to be granted by August 2014 having submitted our requests in December and March. Regrettably, we have no control over the speed of this application process and to date have not received approval, nor a clear indication of when it may be forthcoming. We do not foresee any refusal however we were planning to have these permissions in time to have shipments in market and distribution established prior to the peak trading period. As a result of the delay, it is now clear that the Company will not meet its projected levels of sales for this year, and consequently we have been unable to achieve the monthly break-even position anticipated by now. We therefore anticipate that, notwithstanding we are only nearly half way through the financial year, the full year results will be significantly below current market expectations.

We will report further once the expected approvals are granted.

We are pleased to report however, that RedLeg natural flavouring has now been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and that the necessary approvals for it to be sold in the US are now being sought from the TTB.

Outside of the US, where the majority of our trading takes place, sales volumes have continued to grow, Blackwoods Gin by 22% year to year and RedLeg Rum by 48%, and Blackwoods Vodka newly launched.

Jago's, our premium vodka based Vanilla Cream Liqueur, has been redesigned and is being re-launched. The new pack and improved liquid have been well received. As we build its distribution base we are marketing directly to our target market through sampling and consumer events.

Plans for the launch of Diva, our super premium wheat based vodka which contains a wand of Swarovski elements are well advanced and we expect sales will start in the next quarter.

We remain entirely focused on building our brands and broadening our distribution base which is critical in this market and have recently appointed distributors for RedLeg in Russia and Canada and for Blackwoods in Portugal Germany, France and Italy as per our planned expansion.

The interims results for the half year to 30 September are scheduled for release in early November.

Blackwoods Gin approved by TTB

Distil (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands, is pleased to announce that Blackwoods Gin, one of its leading brands has, been approved by the US Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) for sale and distribution in the United States, the single largest market for UK produced gin in the world.

Following this approval, as part of the two part process, Distil has now submitted to the TTB proposed labeling for the bottles which also require approval, a process that normally takes approximately eight weeks.

Distil has already in place an agreement for the distribution of Blackwoods, details of this agreement will follow in due course.

Don Goulding, Executive Chairman of Distil PLC, said:

" This is great news and we now wait for the labeling to be approved which hopefully is a formality and then will start to ship the Gin over to the States for distribution in 2015. Blackwoods is an excellent brand, which has done very well in the UK and Europe since we re-designed its packaging and formulation. We are confident that it will also be well received in the US, where we hope to generate significant sales volumes."

Once fully approved, Blackwoods Limited Edition 60% Gin will be distributed by The Winebow Group throughout the USA, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

The Group is also pleased to report that it achieved good levels of sales for its owned premium brands during the Christmas period with increased revenues and a number of new listings with major customers. Trading Statement

Distil plc (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands RedLeg Spiced Rum, Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, Blavod Black Vodka, Jago's Cream Liqueur and Diva vodka, is pleased to report higher levels of sales over the important Christmas period.
Year-on-year quarter three (Oct-Dec 2015) revenues climbed by 71% whilst volumes rose by 31%, supported by a 96% increase in brand marketing. The higher percentage growth in revenues over volume was a result of the shift in product sales mix during the period away from licensed sales, primarily in Eastern Europe, toward own sales compared to the prior year.
The strong overall volume and sales performance was achieved despite a reduction in the sales of Blavod Black Vodka in Eastern Europe where volumes have continued to slow down especially in the Duty Free market and Ukraine. In contrast, following its re-entry into the USA market, the brand performed well with repeat orders at consumer and trade level.
Meanwhile, RedLeg spiced rum enjoyed strong consumer off-take both in bars and retail, particularly in the UK and Australia, over the period. We were particularly satisfied with the brand being listed by two of the UK's largest supermarket multiples and are encouraged by the consumer response to date.
The gin market remains buoyant with both Blackwoods Vintage and Blackwoods Limited Edition enjoying double-digit growth in both volumes and revenues. In the US our Blackwoods Small Batch Gin distributor is steadily increasing trial and building On Trade distribution.
Don Goulding, Executive Chairman of Distil, said:
"Our brands continue to gain consumer following in major markets and we are delighted with the performance from new listings.
Despite highly compétitive market conditions over Christmas our brands grew in volume and revenue. We continued to increase our brand marketing investment to build consumer awareness and trial in support of wider availability to the consumer.
TTB approval for RedLeg in the USA is awaited and we will ramp up our efforts to accelerate this process. We continue to make distribution gains in both the On-Trade and the Off-Trade and will continue to invest in marketing for the long term.
We are confident for the fourth quarter of the financial year and expect full year performance to be in line with the Board's expectations. Our plan remains focused on shareholder value creation through the development and success of our brands and we intend to build on the momentum achieved last year."

Trading Update

Distil plc ("the Group" or "Distil") (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands, is pleased to announce that another leading supermarket group has listed RedLeg Spiced Rum ("RedLeg") for its stores throughout the UK.

This follows the successful listings of RedLeg in April 2015 and October 2015 by two major UK grocery chains and further increases this brand's presence and availability in the UK.

We are also pleased to announce that trading in the first quarter (April-June) of the current financial year has been broadly in line with our expectations. Both sales volumes and revenues were up 1% and 5% respectively over the same period last year which contained our first listing with pipe fill to a major grocery chain, combined with major launch promotional activity which is phased differently this year.
Don Goulding, Executive Chairman of Distil, said:

"We are delighted RedLeg Spiced Rum has been listed by another major UK supermarket chain, further enhancing awareness and availability of this popular brand which is growing in both the On trade and Off trade. We continue to make steady progress across the portfolio with our brands benefiting from increased marketing activity."

Trading update

Distil plc (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands RedLeg Spiced Rum, Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, Blavod Black Vodka, Jago's Cream Liqueur and Diva vodka, is pleased to report significantly higher levels of sales during the third quarter including over the important Christmas period.
Year-on-year third quarter (Oct-Dec 2016) revenues climbed by 71%, volumes grew by 56% and brand marketing investment increased by 88%.

Consumer sales advanced across all major trade channels including bars, pubs, retail and on-line retail on the back of stronger marketing support, greater promotional activity, wider distribution and increased consumer awareness of key brands. In addition, export sales were assisted by a weaker pound as international distributors took advantage of the associated price benefits. Licensed Sales of Blavod black vodka to the Eastern European markets continue to be suppressed although they have little impact on overall profitability.

Premium gin remains buoyant in most markets and Blackwoods gin is enjoying good growth. RedLeg continues to make very strong progress on all fronts.

Don Goulding, Executive Chairman of Distil, said:

"Quarter three is our most important trading period so I am delighted to report excellent progress over this Christmas season. We enjoyed an increased level of support for our key brands across all trade sectors as we continue to work closely with our trade partners and customers to help them meet their needs. Our brand investment at consumer level increased to reflect a growing consumer following for our brands.

The premium spirits market outlook remains positive although highly competitive especially in the gin category. We are well positioned to continue our brand building progress. Our focus over the coming months will be to open up new markets for RedLeg and prepare for the launch into the USA. Given the strong sales in the period to date the Board anticipates that the results for the year ending 31 March 2017 will be ahead of current market expectations."

Redleg listed in major UK supermarket chain and Trading update

Distil plc (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands RedLeg Spiced Rum, Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, Blavod Black Vodka, Jago's Cream Liqueur and Diva vodka, is pleased to announce that another leading supermarket group has listed RedLeg Spiced Rum for its stores. The listing is effective from May 2017, further increasing the brand's presence and availability throughout the UK.

We are also pleased to report continued strong growth in sales volumes and revenues during the fourth quarter (January - March 2017).

Unaudited year-on-year fourth quarter revenues rose by 23% and volumes grew by 25%. Comparative fourth quarter 2016 sales included the Easter promotional period through March; this year however, Easter promotional sales will appear in April and are not included in the year-on-year sales revenue and volume increases highlighted above. The Company anticipates full year performance to be slightly ahead of the most recently updated market expectations* and we look forward to reporting our audited full year results in June 2017

Premium gin remains buoyant and Blackwoods gin is enjoying strong growth especially in the UK.

RedLeg spiced rum continues to make excellent progress on all fronts as awareness, product trial and repeat purchase build, supported by advances in distribution especially in the On Trade. Blavod Black Vodka sales volumes also returned to growth mainly through Duty Free and Eastern Europe.

Don Goulding, Executive Chairman of Distil, said:

"All of our key brands enjoyed good growth year on year during Q4 despite lapping numbers which included Easter promotions in 2016. We continue to focus on brand building and distribution gains and are making very good progress.

Premium spirits continue to outperform the overall spirits market and we expect this trend to continue for the foreseeable future. Our brands remain well positioned within their respective categories."

Trading update

Distil plc (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands RedLeg Spiced Rum, Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, Blavod Black Vodka, Jago's Cream Liqueur and Diva vodka is pleased to provide an update on trading for the first quarter of its current financial year.

We are pleased to report further strong growth in sales volumes and revenues during the first quarter (April - June 2017) in line with our expectations.

Unaudited year-on-year first quarter revenues rose by 61% and volumes grew by 81%. Sales in this first quarter include Easter promotional sales appearing in April compared to prior year when they appeared in March. To remove this phasing imbalance, we also update the six-month performance figures to 30 June 2017; year on year revenues during this period rose 46% and volumes increased by 53%.

Don Goulding, Executive Chairman of Distil, said:

" We enjoyed another excellent period of year on year growth driven mainly through sales of RedLeg Spiced Rum and Blackwoods Gin.
Our 81% volume growth ahead of sales revenue growth in the quarter largely reflects a significant 136% increase in our Blavod licensed sales, mainly through Eastern Europe and Duty Free. We remain cautious about this region due to the volatility over recent years. It is, however, the sixth month of strong, continuous growth with the cumulative calendar year tracking 106% up year on year."

Don Goulding Executive Chairman, commenting on these results said:

"We continued to deliver strong year-on-year growth across our brand portfolio in the six months to 30th September 2017 despite lapping prior year pipeline fill in major retailers.

During this period we increased our brand marketing investment to extend our reach directly with consumers at festivals and at the point of sale. Importantly we increased marketing funds to cover development costs of our new Blackwood's vintage and new packaging across the Blackwoods Gin and Vodka range for launch in Q4 of our fiscal year.

We are pleased to report that our key brands have outperformed each of their respective categories overall during the period."

Executive Chairman's Statement

Results

Distil's brands showed further year-on-year sales and volume growth during the period, supported by additional investment in marketing and promotion. Redleg Spiced Rum and Blackwoods Gin continued to perform strongly across all formats.

Overall volume growth at over 41% compared to revenue growth of 23% reflected a steady increase since the early part of the year in our licensed sales, particularly in Eastern Europe and Duty Free, together with a change in product and market mix across the portfolio during the period.

The strong performance of our brands together with continued tight control of overhead costs enabled a 68% reduction in operating losses during the period.

Operations

We continued to build distribution and increased consumer support at outlet level for our key brands. We also doubled the spend on consumer events and festivals year-on-year to increase product trial.

Our main operational focus has been to develop a new crafted Blackwoods Gin vintage. This will begin to appear in store and in bars in the new year as we move through inventories of the successful 2012 vintage. To maintain its premium positioning within a buoyant gin market we have also invested in updating and improving our Blackwoods Gin and Vodka packaging to coincide with this new vintage. All associated design costs have been expensed within the period.

Outlook

We have a greater number of promotional activities planned year on year for the important Q3 period and expect to remain on plan for the full year.

Q4 will see our new Blackwood's design and vintage move through the pipeline and begin to reach consumers. An updated website will showcase the new design in December.

With uncertainty around the outcome of Brexit we continue to take prudent measures to manage risk and seek further operational efficiencies.

Trading Update

Distil plc (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands RedLeg Spiced Rum, Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, Blavod Black Vodka, Jago's Cream Liqueur and Diva vodka, is pleased to report higher levels of sales during the third quarter including the important Christmas period.

Year-on-year third quarter (October to December 2017) revenues and volumes climbed by 19%, supported by a 11% increase in brand marketing investment.

Year to date sales for the nine month period April to December increased 21% in revenue and 29% in volume, with marketing investment increasing 23%. Growth in volumes ahead of revenues reflect the return to growth in Licensed sales for Blavod Black Vodka, mainly through Europe and Duty free.

Don Goulding, Executive Chairman of Distil, said:

"Our brands continued to perform well in Q3 in a highly competitive market, growing both volume and value over the prior year which included significant pipeline fill in national retailers. Major promotional activity during the quarter and a growing consumer awareness of our brands led to a strong sales performance at consumer level across all trade channels including On Trade, Off Trade and online.

During this Q3 period we also finalised our Blackwoods 2017 Vintage Dry Gin including a unique proprietary bottle, distinctive labelling and an improved gin recipe. The gin was developed together with a master distiller and a group of respected On Trade mixologists to give us what we believe to be one of the best tasting gins on the market. Shipments to our distributors in export markets and the UK begin in January. Initial trade response has been very positive and we are pleased to report increased listings in four major UK retailers amounting to an additional 520 retail outlets coming through in the spring. Our revised Blackwoods website featuring the new design launches this week. (www.Blackwoodsgin.co.uk)

With regard to exports, where possible, we are seeking to contract a sole distributor per market for the Distil portfolio of brands rather than one distributor per brand. This will help build a longer term partnership approach as well as simplifying logistics and administration. We now enjoy this arrangement with many distributors but not in all key markets - for example the USA. With conclusion of the new packaging, labelling and liquid development for Blackwoods Gin we will focus efforts on new export markets linking gin and RedLeg Spiced Rum.

In the US we revised our target distributor list to allow a combined approach and discussions are underway with a shortlist of suitable companies.

The outlook for the final quarter to the end of March 2018 remains positive with full year out-turn forecast to be in line with market expectations"

To remove this phasing imbalance, we are also providing the unaudited six-month performance figures to 30 June 2018; year on year revenues increased 28% and volumes increased 27% over this six-month period.

Don Goulding, Executive Chairman of Distil, said:

"Growth momentum of our key brands continues at a healthy pace, supported by marketing and promotional activities at the point of sale. The gin and rum markets remain buoyant. Our brand performance within these categories is strong and in line with our expectations."

Investment in marketing support increased ahead of sales as we continued to build our brands. Additional funds were also used to develop gift packaging for RedLeg Spiced Rum and Blackwoods Gin, ready for launch ahead of the Christmas trading period, together with a range of miniature bottle formats.

Operational improvements together with significant volume growth during the period have assisted gains in gross profit margin and contribution margin.

We have also ensured all planned measures to maximise benefits and offset possible risks relating to the UK exit from the EU have been finalised and fully implemented, well ahead of the anticipated date of March 2019."

Executive Chairman's Statement

Results versus same period last year

We delivered further year-on-year sales and volume growth across our brands during the period. Sales revenue advanced 42% whilst combined case volume grew 31% despite a decline of Blavod licensed sales in Eastern Europe. RedLeg Spiced Rum and Blackwoods Gin delivered particularly strong performances across the retail segment.

Gross Profit margin improved to 61% from last year's previous high of 56% whilst brand marketing investment increased by 57%, feeding through to an improved contribution margin of 34%, up from 32% in the same period last year.

Our strong brand performance, operational improvements and continued tight control of overheads enabled us to deliver a maiden first half profit during the period.

Operations

Having a strong consumer promotional programme in place, our main focus during the first half has been to work with our production and packaging partners to ensure efficient and cost effective supply to our customers and distributors especially during the unusually hot summer which resulted in higher than usual promotional demand spikes.

During this time, we maintained supply throughout and improved margins.

Outlook

The important Christmas trading period is always aggressively contested but likely to be particularly competitive this year within the Spirits market as all categories fight to regain market share from gin. In the growing gin category, we are likely to see the variety of new brands and flavours competing for distribution, trial and share.

Our promotional plans are in place supported by additional PR and social media campaigns, new cocktail recipes together with new premium gift packaging for Blackwoods Gin and RedLeg Spiced Rum, details of which will be shown on our websites in early November.

Distil plc (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands RedLeg Spiced Rum, Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, Blavod Black Vodka, Jago's Cream Liqueur and Diva vodka, is pleased to report higher levels of sales during the third quarter ending 31 December including the important Christmas period.

Year-on-year third quarter (October to December 2018) revenues and volumes increased by 29%, supported by a 53% increase in brand marketing investment.

Don Goulding, Executive Chairman of Distil, said:

"Our brands continued to perform well in Q3, growing volume and value across all trade channels in a highly competitive market.

We increased marketing investment in promotional activity over the Christmas period to build stronger consumer awareness, trial and purchase of our key brands.

Early reports from major customers indicate good year-on-year sales in the four weeks running up to Christmas, although consumers appeared to leave many purchases and celebrations until late in the month.

The outlook for the final quarter to 31 March 2019 remains positive with full year out-turn expected to be in line with market expectations."
