Dominos Pizza (DOM)

Homer - 19 Feb 2003 17:03

I have heard from an employee who is head store manager of my local dominos pizza outlet that results are set to out perform analysts expectations. Outlets have said to been more busier and at peak time the phones have said to be ringing on average every 1.5 minutes. An average person orders a pizza which come out to at least 10's. Couple this with more people eating in and results are set to outperform.

Staff had been advised to buy privately back last year when the stock does its annual slump after intrim results in July. According to my informant most staff in the outlet that he works at took the advise and have bought at around the 80 pence level. This is however only staff at that particular outlet but im quite sure many others will have followed suite.

Like-for-like sales rose 6.3% in the five weeks to December 29. The full year results are set to be released quite soon and I expect them to be very bullish.

DYOR and good luck

Slacker - 19 Feb 2003 20:56 - 2 of 95

Homer, does this thread have anything to do with The Simpsons being sponsored by Dominos Pizza, or is it just a strange coincidence?

Homer - 19 Feb 2003 23:17 - 3 of 95

LOL! no although the increase in turn over does have to do with the Simpsons although I perosnally do not.

The advertsiing done during simpsons episodes on sky 1 has greatly helped raise awarness of the dominos brand and the online ordering system has proved to be very successful.

pollyf - 20 Feb 2003 13:51 - 4 of 95

you might want to check out a feature written by Shares in early Jan on the company.

It concluded:
'With share price targets ranging from 100p to 110p, there is still room for a near 20% upside in the share price from existing levels. The company is trading on a 2002 p/e of 16.5x falling to 13.4x on next year's earnings.

This looks remarkably cheap given the significant earnings growth and value creation on offer, and particularly when compared to its main peers in the FTSE leisure sector. At the time of going to press no bad news was expected in the Christmas trading statment - final results are out in mid-February. Buy up to 110p.'

Homer - 21 Feb 2003 12:14 - 5 of 95

A bit later than expected this year but never the less should be very positive hearing.

The tips keep coming. Current at 102-104

Sun 2 Mar 2003(131349)

Having just announced a 48% rise in profits to 4.2m, Dominos is a company whose shares are worth holding on to, in the view of both the Sunday Telegraph and the Mail on Sunday. The Mail notes that Dominos now trades at 102p and cites a stop-loss level of 80p. As for the Telegraph, it notes continued public appetite for takeaway pizza and Dominos successful development of a factory and opening of new outlets planned over the years to come.

Homer - 08 Mar 2003 22:34 - 10 of 95

when the rsi hits 50 dont be a Homer. BUY BUY BUY. All the way up to 140p and dont sell before that.

(staff have been informed not to sell either as Dom are set to announce some new developments that may be substantially beneficial to the business model but more importantly for the share price)

Homer - 11 Mar 2003 17:09 - 11 of 95

ttt

Andy - 11 Mar 2003 23:03 - 12 of 95

homer,

I trust you will keep us informed of any new developments!

I hold these and feel they are a long term growth stock in the making.

The public seem to have gone take away food mad, and I see DOM at the forefront due to brand quality and their competitive edge in new technology, ie internet.

I see a recession coming, and feel restaurants will suffer a serious downturn, but delivered food will be the substitute, and i expect DOM to benefit from this.

Homer - 12 Mar 2003 14:05 - 13 of 95

Yes Andy definote growth play. Goes ex divi on 09-04-03. And dididend is up 50%.

Also investors may be rewarded with possible share buybacks.

Homer - 13 Mar 2003 12:44 - 14 of 95

Big buyers who bought before results are still dumping. I expect a few ticks down, maybe below the pound level before we start moving up again.

Homer - 18 Mar 2003 15:44 - 15 of 95

Well after all the selling in the recent weeks there have been some huge trades today at the mid price 100p.

100,000 ord
250,000 T trade

I suspect that both of these were buys and we may get an rns telling us what has happened today.

The reason I think this is because with all the recent selling pressure in the past few weeks the price should have dropped as has happended in the past when there is selling pressure. However if the MM's knew that there was a buy order to be filled they would have kept the price stable as to what they have done.

Any buying now should take Dom upwards IMO.

Homer - 20 Mar 2003 15:01 - 16 of 95

ttt

Homer - 27 Mar 2003 10:56 - 17 of 95

MM's must definatly be doing some order filling. For days now the sells keep coming in but the price has not been moving down. Today they have even put the bid up by 1p so they must want the stock to fill some big buy order. All IMO

Remember they may drop back on 09-04-03 becuause they go ex divi so it may be a good time to top up or even top up now if you want the divi.

Noon, 24 April 2003

Domino's Pizza UK&IRL plc

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING STATEMENT

AIM-listed Domino's Pizza UK&IRL plc (symbol: DOM), the UK's leading pizza
delivery company, held its Annual General Meeting at noon today.

Chief Executive, Stephen Hemsley, updated shareholders on current trading and
future prospects, saying:

"System sales in the first 14 weeks of the year to 6 April 2003 were up 18.7% on
the previous year (2002: 29.0%) to #36.9m (2002: #31.1m). In the same period,
like-for-like sales were up 7.8% (2002: 19.7%).

"The first three months of the year have seen Domino's further accelerate the
rate of store openings with ten new stores opened (2002: seven), bringing the
total number of stores to date to 279. This system growth has been supported
with an ongoing marketing programme to identify franchisees and properties in
what we call 'pizza delivery deprivation zones'. These communities, currently
incorporating around 60% of UK and Republic of Ireland households, do not have
access to our delivered pizza service and we aim to change that as we continue
to expand throughout key regions."

Mr Hemsley concluded, "I am pleased to report a strong start to the year which
reflects our steady focus on high quality pizza and a dependable, convenient and
friendly delivery service for all our customers. Our team members' commitment to
supporting Domino's brand promises continues to result in customer loyalty and
repeat business.

"Based on growth to date, we look forward to reporting continued strong progress
at the interim stage in July."

WELL LIKE I SAID THIS IS IT. WHILE I WAS TYPING THESE WERE 103P TO BUY, SORRY GUYS YOU HAVE TO PAY 105P NOW, BUT STILL LOTS OF PROGIT TO BE HAD, REMEMBER YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST.

A BIG BUY HAS JUST GONE THROUGH SENDING THE OFFER UP TO 105P. IT WILL EITHER BE REPORTED AFTER HOURS OR IN ONE HOURS TIME. NOW BEING 12:34.

REMEMBER YOU HEARD IT HERE 1ST!!

Andy - 24 Apr 2003 13:57 - 21 of 95

'pizza delivery deprivation zones'

Those poor people living in such places, how do they survive?

think how much a new Domino's shop would add to the value of their houses!

I'm glad i live near to one, at least I can sleep at nights.

DOM is still looking a good medium to long term investment, although 500 shops will take some doing at their current franchise fee level, IMHO.

Homer - 06 May 2003 16:28 - 22 of 95

Ok I have just recieved new information from a reliable informant working for Dominos finance department. There will be a share buy back program of Dominos Pizza stock very soon.

Expect to see the shares move up in the coming weeks on very low volume throughout the day and then after hours trades reported. The buyback will cause the shares to move up at least to 115 short term and then towards intrim results in July expect to see 130p+.

Remember you heard it here on moneyam first. DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU!
This stock has EXCELLENT long term prospects

Andy - 06 May 2003 23:28 - 23 of 95

homer,

thanks for the info, please pass on any further updates.

Andy.

Homer - 07 May 2003 10:48 - 24 of 95

Bid has today come up to 101p. Offer is still at 105. There were two big decent buyers yesterday which were reported after hours. I am presuming that another big buy has gone through.

It will be either reported in an hours time or after hours. The MM's want some stock as they are not short but are concerned that they may be caught out so they have raised the bid.

Homer - 07 May 2003 10:50 - 25 of 95

Remember you heard it first on moneyam, still 105 to buy with the spread tightening. If there is T - trader around collecting stock throughout the day then this may be just the start. If he buys more you could see the offer and bid both move up.

REMEMBER this stock is very tightly held, a collection of small trades or a 10k trades can move the stock if the conditions are right. This apple in ready for picking with intrim results due in July we WILL get a run up which will be FUELED by the dominos share buy back scheme.

REMEMBER you heard it here first on moneyam!

Homer - 07 May 2003 14:17 - 26 of 95

OK well those of you who didnt read my post earlier, well what can I say you have been a bit unlucky but there is still plently of upside. You will have to pay a penny extra now to by DOM now at 106p and bid at 102p.

I have informed you about the share buy back which will be taking place shortly.

At 10:48 today when I posted these were slighly cheaper to buy at 101-105. I said there would be more buying and the delayed buys are being reported.

REMEMBER you heard it here first on moneyam, if you snooze you lose out.

Homer - 07 May 2003 14:18 - 27 of 95

OOPSS while i was typing some more trades came in. Sorry guys you have to pay 107p to buy now but dont worry there is plently more "slices" (wink wink) to be had and 130p by july is a minimum.

Homer - 07 May 2003 14:24 - 28 of 95

Opps ee daisy again, while I was typing the bid has jumped to 105p and then offer is now at 108p. Dont worry still more upside left

SOme hefty trades have gone through pusing it up today, the big boys always do this about 2 months beofre dominos results are due, it has happened 4 times, the last being feb 03 results, there was a run up from 78 to 100 that alot of profit.

We are doing it again, well maybe not us we are in for the ride but the big boys WILL push this up to 130p+ easy.

REMEMBER you heard it here first on moneyam!!!

Homer - 07 May 2003 14:29 - 29 of 95

WELL WELL WELL, the bid has now gone up to 106.

The big boys are back in town, and when they come they always come with there back packs loaded with cash to buy dominos.

REMEMBER last year resistance has been BROKEN at 103p We are niow at 108p to buy,. and there is plently more upside from here.

Homer - 07 May 2003 14:32 - 30 of 95

WOW news just in, remember I said that the market makers were not short just yet, well guess what, they ARE NOW, they have just bought 10000 dominos stock themselves.

THEY are short now.

Remember with share buy back scheme set to start these are excellent medium to long term buy. You heard it here 1st!!! on moneyam!!!

Homer - 07 May 2003 22:07 - 31 of 95

dom1.gif

Has risen 94% since the bottom on 22 Nov 2001 at 54.50. Is within a rising trend, which indicates a continued growth. The stock has broken up through the resistance at p 103. This predicts a further rise. In case of negative reactions, there will now be support at p 103. Poor liquidity (traded 27% of the days, mean 2.32 mill per day) weakens the analysis

Andy - 07 May 2003 23:15 - 32 of 95

homer,

Thanks for the updates, and yes DOM does seem to be on the move northwards again.

Cheers,

Andy.

Homer - 08 May 2003 10:42 - 33 of 95

OHHH My GODD!!!!

Dominos is down today at 103-106, this is brilliant news WOW, Last chance to buy at 106p get in now before share buy back scheme begins and pre-results run up.

Ill tell you why todays news is good news. Last years resistance was 103p. Yesterday dominos broke resistance at 103 on high volume.

WOW!!!

It has now returned to the old resistance to test whether it will hold

IF it holds then this is the strongest buy signal in the WHOLE world. It WILL hold and this will then become the new support level WOW!!!

coupled with the share buy back shceme these are going to FLY!!

STRONG BUY.

Remember you heard it HERE first on moneyam!!!

Strongest BUY signal yet, buy NOW and you will NOT regret sell at 130p+ EASY MONEY.

103p WILL BE THE NEW SUPPORT

Remember YOU heard it HERE first of MONEYAM!!!

Homer - 08 May 2003 10:48 - 34 of 95

I am almost CERTAIN that 103p WILL hold and become the new support. The big boys have started their buying, which started yesterday so there is PLENTY of support at the current level.

YOU WILL NEED a good many SELLS to send this below 103p level. only the FOOLS will be selling, once MM's get rid of these FOOLS we will continue our upward surge.

A LOT of people will be reading this thinking they are too late to get in. I say NOOO you are not too late, there is still plenty of upside you will REGRET not buying. STRONG BUY

REMEMBER YOU HEARD IT HERE 1ST ON MONEYAM!!!

Homer - 09 May 2003 09:33 - 35 of 95

I think those last set of sellers will be getting out now. Big boys will start their buyinh spree again probably next week. at 106p now so last chance to buy at current price before big boys buy in pre results and share buyback scheme begins

Homer - 13 May 2003 08:09 - 36 of 95

I dont know why but I just came seem to interest anyone. An almost guaranteed return of 30% yet you want to put you money into a silly penny stock.

Ok listen this is the story: Last year we had RESITSTANCE at 103p. This year DOM broke out 103p resistace and last week returned to bid 103p to test resistance. IT DID NOT FALL BELOW THIS NEW SUPPORT LEVEL!!!!!!!

How more bluntly can i put it this is a EXCELLENT stock for medium and long term. 30% return by July easily.

Homer - 13 May 2003 08:12 - 37 of 95

How more bluntly can i put it this is a EXCELLENT stock for medium and long term. 30% return by July easily.

TODAY WE ARE ALREADY UP!! at 104-107, <<<<< THIS is a bounce off new support at 103p, and is one of the bestest buy signels in the WHOLE world.

Some has today just bought a big chunk or are collecting throughout the day. If they are collecting we will see a report of a T trade and this means the price will probably still go higher today!!

REMEMBER you heard it hear 1ST on Moneyam, dont forget the share buy back scheme and the classic run up to results that DOM ALWAYS does!!

Homer - 13 May 2003 08:23 - 38 of 95

Dont forget when these are at 130p+ and you look back, just remember you heard it HERE first on moneyam.

Its not too late to get in, results are still in July we WILL get a run up and we are getting one now!!. New uptrend in the making, new support at 103p.

Up today as the big boys buy DONT FORGET YOU HEARD IT HERE 1ST ON Moneyam!!!!

James 24 - 14 May 2003 16:30 - 39 of 95

Homer,

you do appear to be talking to yourself on this one? I agree that Domino's has great potential, largely on a fundamental basis but note your technical points, and also in relation to the staff share buying scheme.

As a friendly hint, would suggest that if maybe you weren't so zealous in your tipping other people may become interested.

The use of the phrase 'you heard it here first' sounds a lot like ramping, and serious investors may ignore the stock because of it, even though it is genuinely interesting.

James (Shares)

Homer - 14 May 2003 22:38 - 40 of 95

thanks for the advise james, sorry cant help myself as I feel they will be much higher than this in jun/jul.

You raise valid points ill try to contain my entusiasm next time. Cheers

sinutab - 15 May 2003 10:13 - 41 of 95

winnie downgraded these last night to a hold.

Homer - 15 May 2003 15:18 - 42 of 95

Hello sinutab, whos winnie?

Andy - 15 May 2003 22:25 - 43 of 95

Homer,

Tom "the investment guru" Winnifrith!

Actually it's a relief, I felt very nervous holding a stock he was tipping!

For examples of his prowess, look at the 3 year charts for Motion Media (MMD),
Wiggins, Po Na Na, and Auiron, to name but 4!

Homer - 16 May 2003 21:54 - 44 of 95

Cheers andy

so why did the guy open his mouth just to say "hold" he could have just shut up and let it be. I fear he wants people to sell thus driving the price down so he can top up.

I reckon we will have bumper profits from dom this year as well as another hike in the dividend, so bodes well for those willing to hold long term.

Homer - 17 May 2003 16:33 - 45 of 95

I am expecting sharp movements in the weeks to come now, in the past this has happened at around this time on a few occasions. I dont think now is the time to sell imo.

Andy - 17 May 2003 21:43 - 46 of 95

Homer,

just did a bit of "investor research" (full house deep dish)

Had a quick chat with the manageress, who says business is as busy as ever in our local branch.

They were certainly busy tonight, whole place was buzzing.

12.45 for a medium is a bit rich though!

Homer - 20 May 2003 17:07 - 47 of 95

Nice one andy, I had a talk with my friend who works at my local that sales are still booming and showing no sign of slowing down. Other stores around the u.k are also doing very well.

Anyways today dom price bobbing up again. This is unchartered teritory for dominos. I have followed dom for over a year now and believe that we will se 130p+ by july, before any major retacement.

Keep going dom, all the way, i expect further bigger rises this week uptill results.

Homer - 21 May 2003 10:20 - 48 of 95

Im expecting a few tick up today, reckon more big buys will come through soon.

This is one of the best long term defensive stocks around at the momenet. The markets are falling yet dom is still in a strong uptrend.

Andy - 21 May 2003 10:38 - 49 of 95

Homer,

As you rightly say, an interesting comparison between DOM and the UKX over the last 12 months!

draw?period=1Y&action=draw&startDate=21%

Andy - 21 May 2003 10:44 - 50 of 95

Homer,

If you look at the 3 year chart below, you will notice that June/July always has a price spike!

Also note that afterwards there is a reasonable fall, which may give a trading opportunity!

maybe time to top up again methinks!

draw?period=3Y&action=draw&startDate=21%

Homer - 21 May 2003 14:02 - 51 of 95

Agree andy about spike in june/july thats what im waiting for. Then sell in about july and buy back later on in the year for another 40+%. Cant go wrong really can you.

Looking a bit overbought at the moment though, dont know whether dom wants to slow down hope nope, looking forward to the spikes, 7-10% the big one usually are.

Homer - 22 May 2003 17:04 - 52 of 95

we saw the price come up a few days ago on no big buy trades taking the offer up to 110p Well today we see why that happened we had a T trader around collecting stock and he has now finished so they have reported the trade now.

more to come me thinks

Homer - 05 Jun 2003 16:33 - 53 of 95

Ok, we still have support from the institutions at these levels. Today saw a few sell trades come through, but little did these people know that yet again someone was sweeping up the cheap stock that they just sold. A 50k T buy trade came through, and more to come.#

Watch out and hold tight as we are going to reach a CLIMAX soon. There is going to be a BUMP and RUN reverasal formation to take place soon. We will see massive volume and most importantly price SPIKE. This imo is expected in the coming days/weeks.

Dont forget BUMP and RUN reversal which will see price break out of current trend in a SPECTACULAR fashion. Once we reach highs of 130p we should fall back, that is the time to bail and not now.

Andy - 05 Jun 2003 23:02 - 54 of 95

homer,

I have ben watching for increasing volume before topping up to hold for the very short term, and then sell and wait for a lower price to come back in again.

Homer - 06 Jun 2003 08:24 - 55 of 95

Andy up again, its going to do a bump and run, look how it happened last year.

Excessive speculation will drive prices higher to unsustainable levels, I am still long.

We saw a 50k T-buy-trade yesterday, expect more to come. Someone is collecting or has already bought today thus sending prices higher already.

113p to buy now! keep going

Homer - 06 Jun 2003 09:29 - 56 of 95

115p to buy now. Looks like we have a T-trader buying or just big buys which will be reported after hours or later on today.

Homer - 06 Jun 2003 10:04 - 57 of 95

The first T-buy-trade of the day has just been reported. 50,000 at 111p shown as a sell but is infact a buy.

Im expecting it to run next week to 130 maybe and then we will start the decline as a price that high will be unsustainable. This is the CLIMAX for Dom stock that we have all been waiting for. Bump and run formation is truly under way, hold tight everybody and enjoy the ride.

Homer - 06 Jun 2003 10:13 - 58 of 95

117p to buy now boys, Bump and run which I posted about yesterday truly under way.

Andy - 08 Jun 2003 22:23 - 59 of 95

Homer,

I'm watching, and the first sign of strength Monday, and I'm topping up.

Whilst i'm happy to hold my current holding for the longer term due to my belief in DOM, I'm happy to risk a short term punt, and if sucessful, keep the profits invested.

Homer - 09 Jun 2003 20:38 - 60 of 95

Andy yep looks overbought so may tick down a few before contining upwards. Watch those spread though!

Homer - 10 Jun 2003 14:27 - 61 of 95

This is it boys, the fall before the bump. Its really going to accelerate to news highs, just watch. If you dont buy then thats up to you but be sure to have it on your watchlist for the next two weeks!

We will see an almost vertical rise to 130p in a no time at all. May fall a bit further. The high of 117p reached a few days ago taken away from the low of this fall. Will give about 6p. Multiply this by four and add it to the price and you have your estimated price target.

(assumption of 4 obtained from last years fall before bump and run commenced)

Andy - 10 Jun 2003 23:11 - 62 of 95

Homer,

Are there any links to how "bump and run" work please?

Homer - 11 Jun 2003 09:45 - 63 of 95

Homer,

many thanks!

Homer - 12 Jun 2003 17:55 - 65 of 95

HELLO!!! Pizza lovers!!!

I think tommorow will see dominos move up. About 8% would do nicely. Something weird going on, that i just noticed saying dominos should be up tommorow!!!

Homer - 03 Aug 2003 18:06 - 66 of 95

brilliant absolutly bloody fantastic. 150 tipped at 103 up till 110p. Dom profits up 60% WOW!! dividend up. WOW!!!

From the telegraph:

Pizza takeaway group Domino's has been reaping the benefits from people staying in rather than going out. Although the company is still strong, the fact that the shares fell on yesterday's excellent results indicates they're high enough. No need to buy now, recommends the Telegraph.

i agree they are high enough for now. Expecting them imo to drop back to test long term support which is now at 103p. If you missed the chance this year round though luck, but dont forget to buy back in at around November time at 103p!!!

Andy - 03 Aug 2003 22:31 - 67 of 95

Homer,

I was about to hit the sell button last week, but it went up again, So i'm hanging on for now, with a 140p or so sell point, if they start to fall.

Almost made 100% on these, considering selling half for a free carry on the rest, or selling all, buying more Oxus gold, which SHOULD (hopefully) have a good run, then buy back DOM in Nov - Dec.

Andy - 05 Aug 2003 09:26 - 68 of 95

Homer,

Well another little rise again today, I do wonder how much longer they will carry on this trend.

Still wondering whether to sell all in the expectation of an Autumn fall as per the pattern in previous years, or hold with an ever incresing sell price.

Homer - 05 Aug 2003 21:05 - 69 of 95

Andy good luck with whatever you decide. I sold at 141 a few weeks back, as I was on holiday and was only checking prices occasionally. So was suprised to see 141p bid when i logged on and to be on the safe side i sold out. Howver if i was following on a daily basis i would probably still be holding. made a good packet out of them so fairly happy.

Dom showing very strong support at these levels but imo these levels seem unsustainable and i feel they will falter soon. However if the share buy back scheme is launced then we could easily see it climb further to 180p+.

also notice that it has broken out through the long term upper trend line.

Andy - 05 Aug 2003 21:18 - 70 of 95

Homer,

well I can normally monitor the marketduring the day, one way or anopther, so whilst the price goes on rising, I'm going to hold!

Ifthis has been a decent success story so far, DOM have really exceeded my expectations.

Homer - 06 Aug 2003 08:20 - 71 of 95

andy,

absolotly agree, keep holding, the price seems to be going your way! again rising today on the bid at 152p! The success story is unbelievable and way above what i was expecting as well, especially this years results. People really do love their Dominos! :)

Andy - 06 Aug 2003 12:02 - 72 of 95

Homer,

Yes, and the "investor research" is delicious!

Mid price now 153.5P!

Homer - 06 Aug 2003 16:11 - 73 of 95

Some odd trades have gone through today?! 3* 375k, 1*365k, and a 1.6 mln.

Think they are director trades....

Homer - 06 Aug 2003 16:26 - 74 of 95

A post from earlier on: LOL!! Dom is a very predictable stock and offers good returns for lower risk than other stocks, has even beat my expectations!:::

Homer - 13 May'03 - 08:12 - 36 of 72

Homer - 08 Aug 2003 10:14 - 75 of 95

WOW seems like nothing can stop this stock, still going strong!

Andy - 08 Aug 2003 10:21 - 76 of 95

homer,

I know!

I was looking for some funds to switch into Oxus Gold, and had earmarked at least some of my DOM, but the anticipated fall has not happened, and as they just keep on rising I now have to consider what else I might sacrifice instead!

A nice problem for a change

Homer - 08 Aug 2003 13:56 - 77 of 95

andy,

155p on the bid and 160p on the offer now!! you have donw well for holding on, if only I hadnt sold out so early.. oh well

Andy - 08 Aug 2003 22:51 - 78 of 95

Homer,

A mistake I have made before too!

Sell price raised to 145p.

Andy - 10 Aug 2003 23:43 - 79 of 95

Homer,

Shows how offbeat DOM is, they had a "buy" recommendation in Shares magazine this week, and nobody mentioned it!

Nothing new, apart from DOM intending to sell some shops to franchisees, raising 5 - million, perhaps investing 1 million of this in opening a few more closer to their Milton Keynes HQ>

Homer - 11 Aug 2003 10:33 - 80 of 95

yep Andy,

no-one seems interested yet dom is making new highs all the time. only the select few no about this excellent growth stock, others seem to tied down in either their blue chips or penny shares.

Yet again today 162p on the bid, dom really going for it now. way way WAY above what my expectations were.

Andy - 11 Aug 2003 14:38 - 81 of 95

Homer,

This is getting silly now!

165p mid, up over 4% (7p) today. (163p - 167p)

This is the best result I've had in a long time.

Homer - 11 Aug 2003 20:48 - 82 of 95

My thoughts exactly Andy,

I definatly did not expect to see 160p this year. I was thinking they would get to above 130 and then decline, but no way. They have added another 30 odd percent which i thought dom would do next year after dropping down to 103p support. truly extraordinary!!

Andy - 12 Aug 2003 13:17 - 83 of 95

Homer,

Another 4p increase today, (so far) where on earth will this finish?

Andy - 12 Aug 2003 16:01 - 84 of 95

Homer,

@178.5p, now up 13p (7.8%) today!

I wonder how much longer this can carry on?

Homer - 12 Aug 2003 17:04 - 85 of 95

absolutly unbelievable Andy, this is really getting silly now. Never in my wildest dreams did i expect to see todays closing price! if i wasnt such a chartist maybe i wouldnt have sold so quickly who knows! but all who are in for the ride, well done and good luck.

Andy - 13 Aug 2003 23:16 - 86 of 95

Homer

A retracement today 5p, not sure if connected to the RNS issued, or just some profit taking.

Will monitor tomorrow before making nay decisions, but a profits not a profit until it's in the bank, so that will influence my judgement!

Homer - 19 Aug 2003 16:14 - 87 of 95

Andy,

what do you think? dom "topping" out or a minor retacement before further moves upwards? chart shows it overbought so maybe indicators are being bought into control. Dom has never put on so much weight in any one year before a major retacement, maybe it may do it this time. or retacement will be smaller as profits have increased substantially.

Andy - 19 Aug 2003 16:40 - 88 of 95

Homer,

I have sold out this afternoon @168p, pleased with my profit (a virtual 2 bagger), and not wanting to be greedy, afterall it's not a profit until it's in the bank!

I sold the lot, but will monitor, and end of the year may be a good time to buy back in.

Personally, I think it may well retracement, but as you rightly say, this is new territory, and it could well be a pause in a rerating.

Homer - 19 Aug 2003 18:56 - 89 of 95

Andy,

most of the sell trades today were small amounts and looked like private investors bailing out. Maybe a small retacement because institutions hold most of dom stock. if they start buying or selling it could determine the new direction. Private investors like us simply have no say in the direction now, its all up to the guys with the real money!

Andy - 19 Aug 2003 23:42 - 90 of 95

Homer,

I agree completely.

At least the small investors have a nice profit in DOM!

Homer - 20 Aug 2003 10:29 - 91 of 95

Andy,

could this be a sign that all small caps including dom are over priced and will result in a major retacement? could be i reckon, with dom starting off the falls the rest of the small caps which are very overpriced could also follow.

Dom has no support until about 145p, seeing as it went up so fast. The ftse looks overvalued and so do a lot of other stocks, ie Anl especially. Could see more falls to come imo.

Best to wait now and top up towards year end imo. Howver these sells today still look small time private investors sells, unless off course theres something going on behind the scences.

Homer - 01 Nov 2003 16:17 - 92 of 95

Well I was expecting Dom to fall back towards support as time went past after peaking. But this has not happneded. Maybe something to do with us being in a bull market. But last year after results dom topped out and gracefully descended. No signs of this happeneing this yr, and we are alrady in november.

Imo, i agree with certain analyst that say dom looks slightly over valued. Wont drop down to 103p very unlikely but will fall imo. Looking to top up, if i get a good price im thinking of putting 5k in. With limited risk dom is a safe haven for your money, especially with bank paying only 3.5%.

Could see a return of + 30% by feburary once it has fallen a bit more.

NEw stores opening, share buy backs expected, all positive, good growth stock and increasing dividend EXCELLENT!!!

Andy - 01 Nov 2003 17:18 - 93 of 95

Homer,

I agree, DOM do look a shade overought at these levels, but IMHO, DOM is a reasonably safe haven if, as i expect, the market starts to fall.

Looking at previous year's charts, I, like you, expected a fall towards Xmas, which hasn't occurred yet. This market does seem a little starnge, and that could be the reason for this year being d9ifferent.

I'm loooking to buy back in IF the price falls back, in the run up to results, as this is normally a positive period.

I have a feeling the tech stocks that have rallied are starting to fall now, so DOM may hold this price as money switches into safer stocks, and defensives.

Homer - 13 Jan 2004 14:18 - 94 of 95

Bloody bull market cocked the dominos chart pattern right up didnt it!!

I am kicking myself for selling out too early, bloody charts, made me sell so early!

I do think however they are overvalued at current levels. However i also think as a mometum play these will continue to rise up until results.

Then the correctin will take place. Surely cant continue rising like this.

This could be one of those where it rises up to results are then on results day falls back and then starts the downtrend.

Want to buy back but too expensive now, hard to believe they were less than a quid last year!!!
