RETAIL DESICIONS - UP A WHOPPING 35%... (RTD)

jules99 - 07 Jul 2003 08:26

NOW I WISHED I BOUGHT SOME ON FRIDAY...!!!

jules99 - 07 Jul 2003 08:52 - 2 of 77

ahem..soory about my lack of spelling skills...groan...

jules99 - 14 Aug 2003 11:35 - 3 of 77

I think it's Good Time to buy RTD again from last months recent High, price holding at 10.5p to BUY...though if your lucky you could pinch them a little at 10.3/4 makes all the difference..

Dont think it will go much lower, from my calculation todays Sellers are mainly Traders closing their OPEN positions, apart from that no news...but good news for anyone who missed the opportunity, here's a 15/20% better price...

Recent trading statement was most positive as we all remember...

DYOR...
Jules

jules99 - 14 Aug 2003 22:36 - 4 of 77

Well done if you bought in today at the morning dip...as we noticed traders jumped in and the price ended up later at 10.75p or was it 11p? to buy...darn thing went up basically and ended the day up 2.5%..!

Traders now will be holding/buying for the upside to the day of the Results, I would like to see it surpass the 12.5/13p mark for real recovery which would further take the price into new territory before retreating...but after yestday/todays serious sellers out of the way, looks like the stock will be positioning itself for the rise most of us have been waiting for, will it do a HARRIER and fly...we shall just have to hold onto our hats...

Good luck as always..

Jules.

jules99 - 15 Aug 2003 13:17 - 5 of 77

RTD's back on form and starting to propell...up almost 6%..just the beggining by the looks of things at the moment...A new yr high is just around the corner...

Anyone who bought yesterday will do well...

jules.

jules99 - 17 Aug 2003 01:05 - 6 of 77

Taken from a known poster on another board...RTD's Indication of profits no less than 2.5m, which I think is a huge diffference from last years loss...

As a holder of RTD thats good news..

:-)

jules99 - 19 Aug 2003 11:56 - 7 of 77

Considering Retail Decisions were down last thursday, mange to buy in at 10.3p...with respect to forthcoming Company announcement, now they're 11.75p to Buy......lucklily I was rightin my assumption of buyin in, good news is Price rising (slowly..) close again to the 12.5p mark...

Announcment date is getting closer so my expected major surge of the stock is not far from here...(of course my thoughts only as usual...)

Hopefully anymore sellers out there will now leave town by Noon of today...and the buyers move in...lol...

jules.

jules99 - 19 Aug 2003 15:12 - 8 of 77

buy now at 12p...hopefully it starts from here...

hmmmm strange that good news about new customer is followed by mass selling and drop in price.......roll on announcement of trading profits, lets hope that news at least is met more favourably with a rise in the price !
Nig

overgrowth - 23 Aug 2003 23:40 - 11 of 77

The sellers all believe that the good news expected on about Sept. 10th is already factored into the price and when they saw the price fall slightly recently due to some profit taking from the institutions they all got windy and moved on elsewhere. There will be plenty more buyers to take their place.

RTD is a key player in a growth industry with excellent products and staff.

This company is set to take everyone by surprise - once the 15p barrier is broken this will rocket (which should happen in the close run up to the results). 30p+ by Christmas looks possible.

jules99 - 24 Aug 2003 23:29 - 12 of 77

I'm glad someones paying attention....

I think ur spot on Overgrowth...

Indeed this week onwards RTD should shoot closer to the 15p barrier as the date gets closer...15p-20p my personal target.

Reading off the BB's the next 2 weeks should definately see the long awaited surge in Retail Decisions.

overgrowth - 25 Aug 2003 14:02 - 13 of 77

Should be an interesting couple of weeks. RTD have already indicated that the results are going to be very good - now if they happen to announced the massive rumoured contract at the same time....

planttec - 27 Aug 2003 10:42 - 14 of 77

Looks like RTD has started to move at last, though someoen had put the brakes on this little gem

jules99 - 27 Aug 2003 12:11 - 15 of 77

RETAIL DECISIONS...

AT LAST MOVING UP...PRICE TO BUY SHIFTING UP...12.25P TO BUY...+11%

VOLUME IS EXCELLENT...END OF THE WEKS WHO KNOWS...15P?

jules99 - 27 Aug 2003 12:51 - 16 of 77

RTD GOOD NEWS IS RESULTS ARE DUE ON SEPTEMBER 9TH...

Long may the rise continue from today..

+13.5%

jules99 - 27 Aug 2003 13:57 - 17 of 77

anything goes from here...up 16.7%

12 - 12.5p to buy...

thankfully i was correct this time...

15P-20p is acheivable with the good results and considering they made loss of 9m last time...

this time there is a PROFIT of 2.5m i beleive to be right...DONT BE TOO SURPRISED..

planttec - 27 Aug 2003 14:00 - 18 of 77

Yes Jules, looks like you got the sums right this time (again :)), was starting to doubt holding my little pot of them but now pleased i did...... Target of 16p for me, looking hopeful now.

jules99 - 27 Aug 2003 14:57 - 19 of 77

Plantec -
I did say they are now making profit...their first profit ever so drinks all round for still being here...

My opinion is any company which has weathered the Internet bust of yr2000 and has started to make profit after the storm is worthy of investment and has done extremely well to survive and come through...I mean those days went bad...and many a bust...

RTD as an Internet security firm especially credit card has a rosy future ahead especially today as even I buy stuff off the internet previously I did not...attitudes are indeed changing as well as trust...besides it's cheaper..

jules99 - 27 Aug 2003 15:21 - 20 of 77

More good news ...

A delayed trade 14:17 - a single BUY OF 1000000 went through at 12.25p...!

Institution Buying...

:-)))))

check it for yourselves...

ta.

overgrowth - 27 Aug 2003 20:05 - 21 of 77

UBS back in above 3%.

Looking good for tomorrow.

jules99 - 27 Aug 2003 23:48 - 22 of 77

ur right Overgrowth , 3.21% holding now...well at least we were right... must have been their 1m buy ...

Wish they were my 1m buy...!

Institutions obviously are in on the results to some extent...and must know more than us guys...

tomorrow should see rtd further rise towards 15p mark.

chrissie - 28 Aug 2003 08:52 - 23 of 77

8.45 up 10.3% Many thanks jules99.

jules99 - 28 Aug 2003 10:32 - 24 of 77

going past resistance level of 12.5p this am...
and creeping up towards the 15p mark next...a lot more demand for this baby to come...

keep watching and good luck to all who hold...

jules99.

guysands - 28 Aug 2003 11:30 - 25 of 77

I'm holding to results day and beyond. We're not going to see this below 12.5p again. Next stop 15p!

jules99 - 28 Aug 2003 12:03 - 26 of 77

welcome aboard Ship Sir GuySands...

Other boards expect this Stock to go well beyond the short term targets 15-20p...Some BB's are saying nearing Christmas time it could be hitting the 30-50p..but I wish to stay conservative for the moment.

15-20p in the two weeks acheivable..watch this space..!

DYOR..

robstuff - 28 Aug 2003 14:36 - 27 of 77

Sorry to put a dampner on things guys/gals but have you noticed the 3x 1m sells, maybe 4 today, does someone know something we don't and getting out just in time? I'm taking profit on half mine. Could just be that inst. investor trading around, noticed that before. The good results may be factored into the price now and everyones expecting good figures so I'm standing on the fence for now (not sitting)

overgrowth - 28 Aug 2003 19:29 - 28 of 77

Too early to take profits in my view, unless you're happy buying back in at 14-15p (or you managed to buy in at 3.5p).

12,383,918 buys vs 5,794,930 sells still looks pretty healthy to me.

jules99 - 28 Aug 2003 22:09 - 29 of 77

OVERGROWTH - The Sellers were most likely Day traders as usual especially in the last hour or so..T3's etc...who I'm sure will jump back tomorrow at the first opportunity...

My opinion MM's love these guys/traders as they just tend to increase the Spreads quickly between the BID PRICE and ASK PRICE...i.e they see the daytime sellers coming...later they increase the ASK again...thus making the cool profits from us fellows...interesting stuff...

With the huge influx of Buying today, I project RTD's rising much further now based upon todays massive volumes...My REASON - Managment assured the market 6 weeks back the results are well above last yr - RTD's are announcing the companys first balance of profit at the interims...If that isn't good news I dont know what is...

Recent contract wins announced this yr..will also be a focus in their statement as well as possible new contract wins.

I am confident the market will react to the news very positively as we have seen lately on most stocks...

Happy Holding...

Jules99 not selling...!

RETAIL DECISIONS PLC
Trading Statement

SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN INTERIM
PROFITABILITY EXPECTED

Retail Decisions PLC (ReD), an international supplier of payment card fraud
prevention systems and value-added transaction processing services, is expected
to report higher than anticipated profits for the six months to 30 June 2003.

Revenues from ReD's continuing businesses are expected to grow by some 10%
compared to the same period last year. These revenues have been enhanced by a
US$550,000 PRISM technology licence announced at the beginning of the year and a
temporary increase in petrol prices in Australia during the Iraq conflict.

The significant cost reduction and containment programme implemented last year,
together with a strengthening of the Australian Dollar, has also benefited the
Group. ReD is now expecting to report an Adjusted Operating Profit (Operating
Profit before amortisation and exceptional items) of not less than 2.5 million
(2002: 0.7 million) and its first pre-tax profit for the first six months of
the year.

The Group's cash position will also be stronger than originally envisaged.

ReD will publish its interim results for the six months to 30 June 2003 in early
September.

Carl Clump, Retail Decisions Chief Executive said:

'The business has performed well in the first six months of the year buoyed up
by the release of some pent-up demand from last year, a series of one-off
improvements, as well as our continuing vigilance as far as costs are concerned.
Nevertheless in the current uncertain economic climate it is prudent to remain
cautious for the balance of the year. '

jules99 - 29 Aug 2003 10:28 - 32 of 77

wasn't me...!

Hoon...ahem..

chrissie - 29 Aug 2003 13:07 - 33 of 77

Jules

Sorry about that. Been up all night (perm night shift worker). Maybe I'm just seeing signs.

overgrowth - 30 Aug 2003 21:21 - 34 of 77

Should be an interesting Monday - It'll be good to see RTD break past the 15p resistance level before the results, this will bode well for the rest of the year.

jules99 - 31 Aug 2003 23:40 - 35 of 77

15p has to be broken this week, at least thats the minimum target 15-20p is my overall target by the time Sept 9th arrives, which is next week...expect the T10 investors to come forward this week...

scotinvestor - 01 Sep 2003 09:27 - 36 of 77

RTD has plummeted to 12p early this morning. What's went wrong?

planttec - 01 Sep 2003 10:03 - 37 of 77

Thought at first it was just profit takers cashing in the last two weeks gains but looking at the size of some of the trades im not so sure. Looking on the brighter side of things were still a way of results so much can happen in the next few days, especially if the institutional buyers jump on board, down side might be that they have been and gone, thinking the good news on trading results is already factored into the price.

jules99 - 01 Sep 2003 14:41 - 38 of 77

after all the selling this am buy price back up to 13p...

jules99 - 01 Sep 2003 16:19 - 39 of 77

Plantec..MM's on RTD's very very shrewd today...I like their style....they draw the sellers in and then widen the spread then up the ASK price by drawing the Buyers in making excellent profits on their side...very quick ly indeed...I particulary enjoyed watching the changes today...sad...sad...I know...

planttec - 01 Sep 2003 19:51 - 40 of 77

Good point Jules, elequently put as per usual......
Yes you are sad, lol, in a nice sort of way.......without doubt the mm made a few quid out of a few today....have to say made me squirm a bit tho, wasnt expecting this sort of action so close to results day.
On another , side tracking note (redstone thread, reply to angi), robot picks is some software i think haystack?? has worked on / with which he posts daily giving various tips for the day ahead, thus far they havent been too bad but i doubt they effect the prices that much, no real substitute for research of your own eh?

overgrowth - 01 Sep 2003 22:54 - 41 of 77

Severe tree shaking today - the same happened with PRO.

If the MMs are desperate to get more shares, does this suggest that they are banking on lots of buying going on in the next few weeks ?

jules99 - 02 Sep 2003 00:39 - 42 of 77

OG...

Classic case today.. the MM's idea again is Weeding out ANY weak sellers at the lowest (BID) price they can take it say 11.75/12p as today...before thumping up the Buy (ASK) price just when wannbe Buyers think ASK has suddenly become too cheap/fair again...i.e at 13/13.5p...They are aware the demand and Interest is there big time...

It's a job and they are there to make money...the more the merrier...

15p will be acheived BEFORE results are announced I am positive on this one...

planttec - 02 Sep 2003 16:58 - 43 of 77

Jules, Latest news on the wire.

LONDON (AFX) - Retail Decisions PLC said directors Rob Parsons and Nick Caunter have resigned from the board today.

In May, the company announced that both Parsons and Caunter will be leaving the company as part of its restructuring exercise.

newsdesk@afxnews.com

Even tho the demise of these two was already in the pipe line, it may slow down the upward march of the price we are all looking for.

jules99 - 02 Sep 2003 17:25 - 44 of 77

Thanks for that Plantec..

Will save company costs...directors can command larger salaries...This was in the pipeline I understand...

My motto is as long as RTD makes a profit and continues to do so down the line...I stick by new restructured Team...

Plantec if ur interested..
Harrier results out thursday also..

Ta..

Jules99

overgrowth - 02 Sep 2003 22:42 - 45 of 77

Cheers Jules, if I had all day by the terminal on the 9th, I'd be tempted to sell RTD at close of trading on the 8th and then buy them back again at close on the 9th. Though, it would be soul destroying to see the price continue to rise and rise. It appears as though that would have been the wise thing to do with PRO today.

PRO's results were good but exactly as expected, I suspect that we'll see the same from RTD.

I expect PRO to rise again to about pre-results level by the end of the week, and can see the same thing happening with RTD also.

I agree about the directors - looks like a good move - director's salaries were always a bone of contention with the "old" RTD.

jules99 - 03 Sep 2003 08:23 - 46 of 77

Well on the rise this morning on practically little volume...of course there might well be DELAYED TRADES in there...

BUT UP 12.5-12.75 - +5.21% SO FAR...

At Long last this could be the real 'ACTUAL' rise we have been all waiting for...wheheeyyyyyyy!

RESULTS ON TUESDAY...!

planttec - 03 Sep 2003 08:40 - 47 of 77

sure hope so jules.....been getting a bit jittery but hanging on in there.......
watching out on harrier with intrest, bought in a while ago, still with em and looking for a good statement to boost a bit further,
Ta

jules99 - 03 Sep 2003 08:52 - 48 of 77

Plantec-Nice one...MM's must be laughing...

Exciting month September...

Harrier - I'm watching close today - Results are due out tomorrow...

AIT - I think is about to break out again today nice day to do so - AGM on 16th September

GX NETWROK - I bought into yesterday - will watch this one also, something happening...

TFC - Up today - results out soon also...16th I think I wrote...

BATM - MAY well continue yesterdays rise..a bit of a dodgy riser...

Good Luck...

planttec - 03 Sep 2003 09:01 - 49 of 77

hmmmmm always thought it would be fun to be a mm for a while, see how many peoples days you could ruin...lol

Not sure about gx, looking at present but going on info on other bb and bits and pieces ive heard i think they will be heading south a little before the push north starts in earnest.....definately on my list of prospects tho

Good luck!

jules99 - 03 Sep 2003 09:16 - 50 of 77

Exacly what happened with Motion Media...I sold out at 7p...needed cash suddenly..made profits of 1k(u know how it can be..)they went south and then they went up..up..up.. and I was left with Mouth hanging...!!!

Could have made a killing...

I expect GX networks to rise similiary...Go down a day or so...and then buy back in...at say 5p or so...and then a new high will be acheived...

I swear this time however I WILL be patient...looking to double/treble my return...!

Plantec -How far do u think they could go...?

planttec - 03 Sep 2003 09:25 - 51 of 77

jules
how longs a pice of string??.......
judging by the news and interest on other boards and the bits and pieces ive heard i really think they can make a huge growth maybe 3-4 times the price today.
But....well there is alwayys a but eh?.......its not going to be a quick in and out......mid to long term........heart in mouth at times no doubt. Patience will definately be a virtue, one im not renowned for im afraid but in this case i will make an exception

Dont mention mmd to me!!.....bought, sold, and was kicking myself for day as the profit piled on and i was left mouth agape, never saw that one coming at all...doh !!

Nitefly - 03 Sep 2003 09:52 - 52 of 77

Corus (CS) is the same, sold out at 23.75p and now they are 37.5p :( but money was to be made elsewhere (i.e. 100k in Retail Decisions :)

Best of luck all!

jules99 - 03 Sep 2003 09:57 - 53 of 77

PLANTEC -I know how u feel...could have been on holiday in the Ctze D'azures...

Them aside...Good Feeling of Luck today as I think AIT is going to reward me afterall, thats been a ride and ahalf...have a feeling it will reach my 1.00 target B4 AGM, bought in at 67p/74p last week ...luckily my instinct was right...

Hopefully my gut feeling is right again..otherwise it will be just guts...lol...

Good Investing as always..

Jules99.

scotinvestor - 03 Sep 2003 13:13 - 55 of 77

I bought RTD shares at 13p thinking they would rise quickly to 15-20p in next 2 weeks. Now I do not think that will happen.
I think I will need to keep this stock for at least 3-6 months to see what happens and hoping it will reach 15-20p at least in that time.

Does anyone have any ideas of a sort of target price in around 3 to 6 months time?

Thanks

planttec - 03 Sep 2003 14:10 - 56 of 77

scotinvestor
To be honest i think your initial feeling was right....the price will rise significantly in the next few weeks.
Why do you think your short term has now become a mid? what do you base this thought on?
Results are out in a few days time and they are reported to be very good, the mm have had there fun / profits over the last few days and the price is on the up again.
There are a lot of us out there holding this stock and i wouldnt have held on so long if they looked like needing another six months to come good.
Personal target is 16p by the results day.
Could be proved wrong, has happened before!

Lol why do we put ourselves through this?

jules99 - 05 Sep 2003 12:24 - 57 of 77

Plantec-
Couldn't reist just bought Huge fresh batch of stock at 12.15p...I think punters will dive in late today and monday...

Never had any doubts on this one , still dont, still flying a rather large flag here!!!

All in all, i dont think its going to turn into a bad week....Apart from HRR which has disapointed a bit the rest is going to plan...gxn, csv on the up, red stable and rtd will show the softies......roll on next week

scotinvestor - 05 Sep 2003 21:11 - 59 of 77

Although i bought these for short term, i think i might hold onto to them for medium term atleast as i think they will rise quite a lot in future.

Just need to be patient on them. I think they will at least double in price and maybe even more within next 3-6 months.

zscrooge - 08 Sep 2003 12:12 - 60 of 77

think the question was more of a sneer but apologies if it was more genuine

jules99 - 08 Sep 2003 13:36 - 63 of 77

personally think mm's have been cashing very well on demand for stock, upto results day...

with o much sellinng done..expect it to go north from here...the demand is still there for RTD...target 15p... and later breaking towards the 15-20p...just my thoughts naturally...

jules99.

jules99 - 08 Sep 2003 14:00 - 64 of 77

A RTD Scenario tomorrrow could be...

7.20am - RTD Results are announced...Very Good.

8.00am - Stock opens 11.25 - 12.00 -0.5

8.10am - Weak Investers suddenly panic thinking price is going to drop...and start selling or closing out positions...

11.00am - MM's know results are very positive and have bought enough stock to satisfy demand, and taken out all weak investors...

11.10am- MM's raise price to 11.75-12.5- The rise begins for next 2 weeks...

4.00pm 13 -13.5p...

Wednesday.....TBC...

any thoughts..?

MM's are manipulating again... hold on to your hats!

jules99 - 09 Sep 2003 08:53 - 72 of 77

Nitefly I was expecting that to happen...

Thankfully the results are excellent...

I dont see any reason for the price to drop, except to weed out any wannabe sellers, the surge in price will happen, but patience is going to be required from my part...

Sticking to my personal target of 15p followed by 15-20p.

Absolutely jules99, i was expecting the same!

I remember Corus and many others doing this, dropping on good news and then rising strongly a day or even a week or two after... only for everyone that sould out... well, to be caught out!

Luckely I managed to get in at 10.5p before the initial rise.

Best of luck to you all.

With todays massive news of credit card fraud activities crackdown and on the increase, I beleive Retail Decisions are aiming at the correct market and should continue to do very well, with a long term outlook looking very positive.

God forbid it ever happens to me...
