As a precursor to our launch on the 23rd, we will be upgrading both hardware and software during the early part of the week.
I will be emailing everyone with more details on the launch as well as pricing and services that we will enable at that time.
This betatest phase has been invaluable and a huge thanks to everyone, to be honest we would not have been able to launch without you.
We will making sure that when we open up for business that we are careful about the introduction of products so we have decided to enable level 1 data first and level 2 data a few days later.
I hope you will, agree that by implementing a staged approach we can avoid any conflicts which might potentially affect the paid for services. I can assure you that level 2 is worth waiting for both in terms of product and pricing ( but then I am bias). I will next week announce an interesting and important tie up on level 2.
Regards
Mike

Good luck with the launch. But... I think like me you will find that a large number of people use the internet from work. You need to get this port 80 issue resolved before launch so that visitors get the full benefit of a visit to this site. If they come and cant get streaming, live trades etc they may well go away and not come back.

Mike, it says on the invite that we should bring passports with us. Please can you confirm that you have *NOT* booked concorde?

Yep, Good Luck. What has been achieved so far is amazing and I'm sure the site will continue to be a success. Well done on taking all the comments positively and responding so well to them. I know that this is what beta testing is all about but I bet there are days which don't have enough minutes in them to do it all - and everybody is getting on your case - and you wanted to go home six hours ago.
All hard work greatly appreciated.

Dear ADVFN'er,
Thank you for using ADVFN. We hope you enjoy our free or premium service with its real time streamed prices, active BB and many advanced tools.

Just to let you know that we have mounted a largish PR campaign in the Press and TV/Radio plus adverts in National and local press. It will be interesting to see the reaction.

Try the Aberdeen Press and Journal. They always have an eye for a good story.
When the Titanic sank their headline was 'Kenethment man drowns at sea'.
On the outbreak of WW I they had 'Giant neap found at Turrif'
Their best headline in WW II was 'Ike flies back to front'.
A MoneyAm headline competition might be nice.

Well folks after 16 years as MD of MSM/AJ Bell Media, I am going to hang up my commuting boots at the end of September.
It's been an incredible journey, first off co-founding ADVFN, then founding MoneyAM and incorporating that into Shares Magazine. Myself and fellow partners sold the business in December 2012 to AJ Bell. AJ Bell has recently announced a float of its business at the end of this year or early next year, so I am going to make the most of the opportunity and enjoy a quieter life.
Its been a great journey and I have made some amazing friends on these Bulletin Board. We have sadly lost some of the greatest characters such as Crocodile and MG.
I plan on taking a few days off then I am going to take on a few Non-Exec roles and have a few of my own start up ventures to play with next year!
I leave AJ Bell Media in a very strong position. We moved Shares from print to digital in 2016 and have since seen readership grow from 15,000 to over 70,000. MoneyAM and its white label spin offs such as the solutions we host for the Telegraph, Daily Mail, AJ Bell , Hargreaves Lansdown and many more businesses mean that MoneyAMs traffic is over 2,000,000 unique users a month.
For the past 12 months the dev team have been working on a back end move into Amazon (AWS) which is nearly complete. Users will then hopefully see better resilience and speed.
I will still be on the boards and as I will no longer work for a Group that’s ’regulated’ I will be able to ramp properly again!
Cheers
Mike (Bullie)

MAM,
For goodness sake get rid of the talking adverts. Every click I make on MAM, the same 'Southbank' (or similar) advert restarts.
Are you trying to drive your customers onto alternative sites?? - You are overdoing the 'In your face' advertising element!!
Pse dump the talking advertisements. The other adverts are bad enough. - Its like navigating a minefield.
Cheers.

Just caught up with this! Shows how much I look at the threads here, although I have Stockwatch on all the time :P
Mike, if you are still watching, I would wish you the happiest of “work-related” retirements and expect you to enjoy the countryside!
As a relic of the ETrade/ADVFN/MAM past myself, I remember all too well the many riotous or at least noisy Christmas meetings/meals/pubs of the MTM era and years after that. Much missed times (apart from the hangovers)!
It would still be good to catch up with you and other people when the opportunity arises. I must look at the threads more often over here.
