Chelford Group- Steaming ahead of results...in 3 weeks... (CHR)

jules99 - 16 Feb 2004 13:54

i dont know if anyone knows or reads Chelford Thread...But results are going to be excellent!

Thryllos - 16 Feb 2004 18:51 - 2 of 159

reading, watching, and holding!!!

jules99 - 17 Feb 2004 05:37 - 3 of 159

So am I ...Chelford Group was up 17% at one point yesterday...

Closed 2.5p-2.8p -Has to hit past the 3p mark, just a matter of timing I presume, (thought it would have done it last week..)

Huge potential to rise from this meagre level, Manpower software was 5p when I spotted it, now 40p, not comparing apples for apples, but at 2.5p I am looking at a ten bagger again in time

Today should be another interesting day for Chelford -IT/Business SERVICES AND SOLUTIONS GROUP, 3p to be or not to be TODAY...??

I'll have a guess again and say it ends up 2.8 -3.2p at close...and 4p end of week, though you can never really tell with small shares due to day profit takers...

As January trading statment by Chelford commented sales are excellent and well above expectations due to a significant increase in SAP licenses, I think an expected leap will be reflected in the share price of this little baby in the baking...

keep holding..and always do your own research I say..Jules99.

jules99 - 17 Feb 2004 08:09 - 4 of 159

nice start 3p to buy...first time seen this...

seawatcher - 17 Feb 2004 08:39 - 6 of 159

Morning,

Enlighten me please! Hemscott gives annual report - 27 March, Prelims - 15 April, AGM - 26 April. Where do you see 'results in 3 weeks'. Quite an impotant date to get right.

Tokyo - 17 Feb 2004 14:45 - 9 of 159

What is the exact date that these results will be published?

jules99 - 17 Feb 2004 15:14 - 10 of 159

gone back again, but check the buys going through, 1m last hour..., best volume I've seen for a while...excellent stuff..!

seawatcher - 17 Feb 2004 16:15 - 11 of 159

Have just received a reply from Martin Anderson of Chelford Group who I emailed a couple of hours ago regarding next results. He says' will be releasing annual results mid March'. No date given but I am a bit impressed by the prompt reply. If this reflects their business attitude no wonder they're doing so well.

Cosworth1 - 17 Feb 2004 21:39 - 12 of 159

Can anyone explain , why after such strong buying today, that the price ends down, i have traded and researched companies for quite a while now, but still find it hard to believe that the mm`s can just lower the share price on high demand, call me thick, but are there not more of you, feeling the same way as me.I think this company has huge potential, and bought some shares a month ago.thank you for any replies.

seawatcher - 17 Feb 2004 22:23 - 13 of 159

They really only widened the spread. Perhaps they are trying to scare weak investors into selling so that they can pick up the pieces ready for the next big move!! You must have seen that plenty of times.Unfortunately charts don't work so well on such a poorly traded stock.
sw

Tech - 25 Feb 2004 09:56 - 14 of 159

Good moves today ahead of results next month. More contract news announced on Chelford web site.

seawatcher - 25 Feb 2004 11:16 - 15 of 159

Tech - thanks for that info. We're seeing good trades going through at 315 which is a new high I think. And it could still be 2-3 weeks before results.

kantona - 25 Feb 2004 22:34 - 17 of 159

Chelford certainly seem to have turned the corner and i'm eager to see what the results vll be like in mid-march and whether they vll now begin to climb back to it's old share price.. i hold some ..dyor

here are the news of the new contracts shown on the company website ...interestibgly these not released to stock exchange via rns etc

1.
Oncura Ltd, a joint venture between Amersham International and Galil, two of the UK's leading medical equipment companies, are to rollout SAP internationally. Oncura will be implementing Smartstart for Healthcare Distributors, Chelford SAP Solutions' All-in-One vertical solution, which has been designed specifically for companies operating in the Healthcare Distribution market. The project will cover the US and the UK with further international countries being connected in. The contract was signed in December 2003 with the initial UK go live planned for April and the US for July. Chelford SAP Solutions will be managing the whole SAP rollout and providing both software and implementation services and support. The system is being hosted by Digica UK Ltd in the UK.

Oncura provides a global presence in the treatment of prostate cancer, offering physicians and patients a broad choice of minimally invasive treatment options for use in individuals with early, as well as more advanced and recurrent stages of prostate cancer. It also offers the option of cryotherapy for the treatment of kidney cancer.

2.
Famous Confectionery Brand the latest SSI customer
Foxs Confectionery has recently signed contracts with SSI to install a 25-user TROPOS system to cover all business operations. The company will be using SSI's experience in this industry sector to ensure they are operational on the new system in a very short timescale.

3.
Primafruit Chooses SAP
Evesham-based importer and distributor Primafruit has agreed a deal with SAP and Chelford SAP Solutions to replace its IT business systems with SAP.

The project will take some 10 months to complete and will see existing planning, operations and financial systems superseded.

The aim is to ensure Primafruit delivers least cost, best availability and best quality to customers using e-business innovation and "leading-edge planning and optimisation tools", the company said in a statement issued jointly with the Chelford group.

Chelford Expertise
Sean Foy, operations director at Primafruit, said: "We knew that SAP offered the best solutions available, but we knew that implementation was often very difficult for smaller businesses with limited IT resources. We searched long and hard for a partner that was able to help us implement SAP and found Chelford had all of the characteristics that we were looking for. Chelford is not only an expert in SAP systems but also the only company we found that was able to understand the intricacies of the fresh produce industry and speak our language."

SAP New Approach
A leading business software company, and partner to many of the world's largest companies, a new approach from SAP to small and medium-sized businesses has meant that companies such as Primafruit have access to SAP solutions.

Chelford Experience
Trevor Lewis, Chelford group ceo, said: "We are delighted to have won the Primafruit contract. Chelford has significant experience in the food and drink sector and is focused on supporting its customers operating in fast-moving, highly regulated environments driven by the increasing demands of the multiples."

kantona - 02 Mar 2004 21:40 - 20 of 159

now that we are in march ..with results due in the coming weeks ..good time to put this back on the radar ..the mm's have been playing games with the spread have had it at 2.8 - 2.3 at one stage this week ..however they have now narrowed it to 2.9.-2.5 .. one to monitor in the coming week or two .. i hold some dyor etc

zul187 - 02 Mar 2004 22:29 - 21 of 159

i have looked and cannot find the date for the results in the forward diary ??

bonn1e - 02 Mar 2004 23:20 - 22 of 159

kantona! Many thanks for your response.

bosley - 05 Mar 2004 14:04 - 23 of 159

good write up in shares mag yesterday . tim freeborn gives it another buy rec. hoping this share will continue to rise to the levels i bought in at right at the start 6.5p, ouch ......been very patient with this one .

SueHelen - 05 Mar 2004 14:09 - 24 of 159

Results out on Friday 26 March 2004.

seawatcher - 05 Mar 2004 14:12 - 25 of 159

SueHelen,
Is that figure cast in stone? Is it from Chelford? Not doing too well today are we!
sw

SueHelen - 05 Mar 2004 14:38 - 26 of 159

I have no position at the moment but had a position after their trading statement at a price of 1.6 pence. Sold out quite a while back around 2.3 pence.

That date has been given by the company and you can ring up as well and will give you the same date.

It is good that we know when the results will be coming and I intend to build a position in these again prior to that week when the interest should be gathering pace again.

About the drop today, I can't comment as I have not been following it.

Best Wishes.

bosley - 05 Mar 2004 14:45 - 27 of 159

i would imagine the recent drop is just profit taking , people like suehelen ( not that im being disrespectful, sue) .

robstuff - 05 Mar 2004 15:45 - 28 of 159

Good buying opp as I think this share has got a long way to go. Anyone care to guess the profit fig?

robstuff - 05 Mar 2004 15:48 - 29 of 159

as I speak, most the buys for the day just come in last half hr, now more than sells, price should bounce tomorrow...I may pick up more quick

robstuff - 05 Mar 2004 15:49 - 30 of 159

just topped up another 50k at 2.47, good price I hope.

iamole - 05 Mar 2004 16:14 - 31 of 159

I am watching this company with interest as i believe it may get written about in one of the shares mags before the results in few weeks. I have noticed with many co's looking to break into profit, the penny share quides and investor magazines pick up on it and recommend before the results or shortly afterwards, attracting a rise in price as their readers buy the shares and thus their tip is self fulfilling and they say that since tipped it's gone up so many percent. The p/e ratio may look attractive if profits come in over 1m but unsure if that's possible this time, but contracts are in pipeline and could pay off this yr, i think a reasonable target may be 5p. I may buy some next week, any clues as to likely profit????

kantona - 05 Mar 2004 17:39 - 32 of 159

me too topped with around another 300k shares at 2.47 with td waterhouse ... i thought it was a good price as i was happy to buy them at the quoted 2.6p .. the only reason i think of the shares dropping a bit today is that many were expecting an earlier date for the results. i.e mid-march so i assume people would have had to close some of the long t10 etc and look to open fresh opens to coincide with the date of results.

or it could be that some one knows the exact details of the results and perhaps they may not be as good as expected.

i personally believe in the latter and think due to people covering positions ..hence topped with ..sometimes you have to follow your conviction ..

looking forward to the results. i hold loads now !! dyor

Baughfell - 05 Mar 2004 19:01 - 33 of 159

Bit of a strange one today, the price started to fall on virtually no sales and it has been solid for some time. I agree in part with Kantona that this is due to the fact that the results were expected in mid-March (and now it will be the 26th) but also the MMs need to drum up some business as it has been very quiet. A number of posters here and elsewhere have said they will buy in the run-up. At the end of today buys well outweighed sales. I too topped up at 2.47p and think this will look very good business in a week or two.

jules99 - 07 Mar 2004 23:57 - 34 of 159

been away, Hopefully i hven't missed anything...Results this month at least the date is sure now, my target and expectations for chelford remains as high as...

If the results are as mangments statement in Jan, then expect a highs, overall per ratio chelford will pay off handsomely, down the line, 10p would be a dream come true...I thank the others watching and posting any new info on Chelfords performance and news...

HAPPY DAYS NOT FAR OFF NOW!!!!!

Tokyo - 08 Mar 2004 05:14 - 35 of 159

Chelford at 10 pence? are we talking short/medium/long term?
Interested to know on this one, might start looking into it, my interest has been aroused

kantona - 08 Mar 2004 07:59 - 36 of 159

personally think 10p vll be have to be a distant target ..def long term .. if u loook at the price chart of the company and historical data ..this used to be cash shell ..the SAP tech reversed into it ..intially it was making losses for the first year or so ..the share price difted from highs of 7p to around 1p mark .. now the company is turning profitable no reason why it should not climb back up again. short term 3-4p target ..once the details of results are known with earnings and profit ratios then we' ll be better positioned to say whether 10p is a long term or a medium term ... emotionally i shares Jules sentiment on this, but this doesn't mean anything at all

good luck

robstuff - 08 Mar 2004 10:06 - 37 of 159

Thought this should bounce quickly, hardly any sells fri, buyers came in fast at the end, and returning today, i believe this should soar over the coming weeks - just look at the fundamentals and DYOR, but am I missing something? It's so cheap, many tech stocks are rated on multiples of t/o, and many 30/60X - look at projections for profit and you can see this could have a very low p/e and rising t/o points to me at a very Growth stock, i'd like to see it at 10p by June and think it's achievable - could be exciting -let's see!

iamole - 08 Mar 2004 10:41 - 38 of 159

Hi all. Nice to see lots of posts, I'm in jumped in this morning and am very hopeful, would obviously love to see it risew to 10p but 5p will do :) Wait until this company gets written about, that's when the fun will start. An unknown at the moment but i'm hoping that will change very soon. On the up now.....

iamole - 08 Mar 2004 10:44 - 39 of 159

no.20 on the leader board and rising

robstuff - 08 Mar 2004 16:16 - 40 of 159

Rising - will there be the late buyers again?

keith thomas - 08 Mar 2004 16:37 - 41 of 159

Sales outnumber buys by 3:1 today, with some big sells late in the day

robstuff - 08 Mar 2004 16:42 - 42 of 159

Total trades didn't amount to 50k worth and the share price moved 12.5%, mm's may be short of stock and want to get some before the run up to results. amounts traded are so small, but this may change if it gets written about and the share price would soar. Dream - DYOR

Baughfell - 08 Mar 2004 17:30 - 43 of 159

The dip on Friday was a last minute and unsuccessful MM tree-shake before the run-in to the results on the 26th (which will be excellent btw). Tomorrow could well be the last day to pick these up under 3p - DYOR

jules99 - 08 Mar 2004 22:30 - 44 of 159

It's late-ish but just got in...a bit knackered..

Appears the day for Chelford Group was indeed a positive one, plenty of new interest and posters today as well, are you all day trading or just logging in, not too intrusive am I..?

Chelford up 12% on a Monday, appears this could be the real run up to the count down...

Chelford levels I'd like to see broken:

before results 3p - 6p

after results 6p - 10p

More than 10p would be .......ahem..

keep well all..Jules99...

Baughfell - 08 Mar 2004 23:26 - 45 of 159

Jules, I'm expecting 4.5p by the results, though would happily take 6p :-)

robstuff - 09 Mar 2004 10:11 - 46 of 159

looking good, i'm not a day trader, and on this spread - is that possible? Anyway, 3p is a bargain, why sell. Not sure about the short term but 10p is an achievable target, i believe (DYOR) this yr.

robstuff - 09 Mar 2004 12:59 - 47 of 159

the mm's are trying every trick in the book to obtain stock, but no-ones falling for it. Due a re-rating so hold on...

windys160 - 09 Mar 2004 13:35 - 48 of 159

what was the re-rating?

robstuff - 09 Mar 2004 13:43 - 49 of 159

It's a figure of speech my friend. Brokers/investors may calculate a fair value based on the fundamentals/growth potential etc. and if the results are good as they are widely believed to be (see previous postings and web site/articles in shares mag, then a re-rating is on the cards. DYOR, we may all be wrong :)

kantona - 09 Mar 2004 15:35 - 50 of 159

the rns has brought it to the fore again.. it vll start to attract attention.. i am not sure if it vll be good thing in short term ..with the hot money coming in ..once it goes past that cycle ..we vll see good steady growth in this , due to the good regulars orders it is winnning on regular basis. see website for details of contracts etc.

good luck

keith thomas - 09 Mar 2004 15:39 - 51 of 159

by volume the buys outnumber the sell by 5:1

robstuff - 09 Mar 2004 15:58 - 52 of 159

Ready to Burst thro 3p...

robstuff - 09 Mar 2004 16:19 - 53 of 159

maybe not today, sellers coming in, guess the desire to take profit is too much, suppose it has gone from .7p to 3p in short period. What was going on today with the dealing spread, was doing nicely 2.7-2.95 then suddenly it was 2.5-2.95!with no sellers. Heart attack!!! Does anyone have an idea of what the profit may be, because if it's not up to expectation, these may slide again as did Rtd and many others recently. Hope it's going to be 1m+ otherwise i think i'm selling.

jules99 - 09 Mar 2004 19:07 - 54 of 159

Another good day for the share price I'm noticing,

Only 2 weeks or so left...looks ripe to go past the 3p mark, I bought some today as I think this time the rise will see a new trend as results date gets close, a re-rating as some have mentioned is always there, not comparing but remember reuters results...!

Tech journal I think thats what its called have them placed as there top ten tip for 2004, which is always an added confidence booster.

Thats still requires research howver...

Till tmorrow....Jules99

keith thomas - 09 Mar 2004 19:23 - 55 of 159

dont waver now guys you are making me nervous!!

batty hill - 09 Mar 2004 19:27 - 56 of 159

It looks very sexy to me, {what do you think Sue)

seawatcher - 09 Mar 2004 21:27 - 57 of 159

Point & Fig breakout today plus moneyflow indicators increasing nicely.Vol Oscillator at best level since new years rise. Charts look very good. Yummy.
sw

roma - 09 Mar 2004 22:26 - 58 of 159

Looking very good today,I expect a fair bit of profit taking when it hits 3p.I think I'll just hang on to mine, good luck all holders.

stevieddj1 - 09 Mar 2004 23:50 - 59 of 159

The MMs have upped the price to 3.05 for tomorrows opening! That will be the highest it's been since August 2000.

windys160 - 10 Mar 2004 08:29 - 60 of 159

lokks like we could be in for another good days trading would like to see 3.5p by end of week :-))

windys160 - 10 Mar 2004 09:19 - 61 of 159

with so many buys why does the price keep falling?

kantona - 10 Mar 2004 09:31 - 62 of 159

advfn shows around 19 trades today ..first twelve mostly buys ...then around 10 trades a total 1m in volume all u/k all traded above the 3p mark ..which suggests to me that they are mostly buys as the spread is shown as 2.7 -3.10 ...

so accoording to this no sells but the mm's have taken the price up and then brought it down a touch ..to generate some selling .. must be short on stock .. least that's what's my opinion

i for one am not selling at all (not till results) ...not going to be put off by mm tactics ..

windys160 - 10 Mar 2004 09:41 - 63 of 159

so basicallly this is a treeshaking exercise... or am i mistaken by this thought?

windys160 - 10 Mar 2004 09:51 - 64 of 159

kantona do you have any other suggestion on other <4p shares with results in the coming months worth looking into cheers windy

robstuff - 10 Mar 2004 10:13 - 65 of 159

Could actually be fair value at this price - all depends on the level of profit you anticipate. If 1m bottom line, ands that may be optimistic then a p/e of 19 may be about right. if on the other hand only 500k, then 38 looks expensive unless profits growing quickly and plenty of new orders. Cashflow isn't up incredibly so the latter may be nearer the mark. I am taking some profit by selling half.

windys160 - 10 Mar 2004 11:23 - 66 of 159

why does the price drop on a single sale and does not rise on the buying side is this still mm's playing games with the price to boost there stock of this company?

kantona - 10 Mar 2004 11:59 - 67 of 159

windys160 .. i am novice in picking stocks .. but to be honest the price of the share is irreleveant ..it's the potential that one should be concentrating at ..CHR def has this due to their anticipated return to profitability.

personally the other blue sky stock that i think that has massive upside is co called RINGPROP.. i have held them for ages..and brought back into them again ..i won't put any further re this here but i vll update the RPP thread later with my opinions.. pse do not construe this as a recommendation .. we all have to make our own decisions and then have to live by them .. it's bad enough taking a loss now and then yourself ..but worse if others lose out as well as a result of what i might say..

Now back to CHR...we know they vill show small profits for 2003 .. we know they had enough others in Jan 04 alone to cover 70% of the costs for this year... the difference whether this stock vill really fly on the annoucement of the results vll in the details as to what has happened in the last two months in the chairmans statement ..if they were half as good as JAN then theoretically the costs for the years should be covered now .. and any contracts from here on in should go to the profits column... it's this sort of detail that vll send this past the 5p mark (at least)..

Baughfell - 10 Mar 2004 12:01 - 68 of 159

Windys160, it is the MMs trying to get more stock in preparation for the anticipated buying in the run up to and following results on the 26th.

On Friday they dropped the price (after it had been steady for a few days) in the hope that holders would panic and sell. It didn't happen.

Today they raise the price and then lower it again hoping for sells - it hasn't happened.

If they can't get more stock and the demand increases (which it will) the only way to head it off is to raise the price. Good news eh?

All IMO of course!

windys160 - 10 Mar 2004 12:14 - 69 of 159

kantona been watching with interest healthcare ent. HCEG any veiws ? i think might have some potential.

kantona - 10 Mar 2004 12:37 - 70 of 159

HCEG i have held them brougth them at 1.47... unfortunately had to sell at 1.97 to cover other positions ..agree good long term prospects and has many well known backers mike walters being one.. good long term hold .. may look to get back into them ..good luck ..lets hope CHR give us some decent profits to diversfy our portfolio's a bit..

iamole - 10 Mar 2004 15:43 - 71 of 159

I see on previous post there was an article in Shares mag. - i hadn't realised. Can anyone give the details of this? Have held for 3 days and alredy up 33%

Legins - 10 Mar 2004 19:54 - 72 of 159

iamole

Shares Mag "have faith in software installer Chelford, says Tim Freeborn

The article is something like this :-

CHR was previously featured in his cover story of 27/11/03 titled Golden Horizon. Then it was trading at 0.68p but too small to be featured in Shares mag "play of the week" articles. Techinvest's, tipsheet, made it a nap stock for the year. The shares soared to 2.55p giving CHR a valuation at 17 million. Perhaps I should have less scruples.

CHR installs & services enterprise software for mid cap companies and is carving up rivals focused on servicing companies that use IBM AS400 main frame range. CHR works with Microsoft & Oracle platforms and focused on niches with safety and quality regs as a big factor where the food industry is a key market for these services. CHR's 2nd business is reseller for SAP and developer of templates for particular industries, endorsed by SAP & potentially very lucrative.

Arbuthnot, CHR's House Broker forecasts EPS of 0.1p untaxed for yr 2003/04 which although conservative suggest shares are up with events or an all-paper acquisition in in the offing.

jules99 - 11 Mar 2004 01:46 - 73 of 159

another day another 0.1 pence up..end of week 3.5p acheivable, though each day closing in on the big day increases the appetite for Chelfords stock and dont the MM's know it...!

3.5p end of week target is acheivable, a clear break of 3p should do the trick...2 weeks left now we could be laughing. A rights issue or other good news on the day would be a welcome bonus, u just never know these days...

good luck to all of us who have stuck with this tiddler...toddler...

windys160 - 11 Mar 2004 09:49 - 74 of 159

keith thomas - 11 Mar 2004 12:15 - 76 of 159

is everyone still confident about this share hitting at least 4p??

Baughfell - 11 Mar 2004 12:33 - 77 of 159

Will definately hit 4p sometime soon. This is a solid company that will report excellent results and has got off to a great start to 2004

kantona - 11 Mar 2004 17:02 - 78 of 159

nearly everthing has taken a hit today ... CHR down with the market as opposed to anything with the share ..

a friend of mine today reluctantly sold them today ..to cover some losses on another T10 position ...but he's hoping to get back in again .. ithink this is the case today alot of balancing of the books etc..

personally unperturbed by it all .. i vll personally continue to hold.. if they go sub 2.5 to buy tomorrow, i vll buy again

bosley - 11 Mar 2004 17:59 - 79 of 159

everything seems to be down today. probably events in madrid , capitol city , terrorism and all that . seems to have reminded everyone against complacency.hopefully next week will see this share continue to rise . been a long time holder and will be relieved when it gets back to the level i bought in at .

keith thomas - 12 Mar 2004 15:35 - 80 of 159

anyone have any news on this today?

roma - 12 Mar 2004 15:58 - 81 of 159

I don't think we will hear a lot until the results,on the 26th March, I topped up a bit yesterday, while they still low.

windys160 - 15 Mar 2004 11:06 - 82 of 159

let's hope we will see a recovery to last week's high of 3p or even higher, with result's out next week hope to see 4p :-)) any veiws?

7840 - 15 Mar 2004 21:17 - 83 of 159

Can you see the share going any higher than 4p when the results come out Sue

SueHelen - 15 Mar 2004 21:55 - 84 of 159

Hi, I will have to get back to you on that as I myself am looking to get back into these again next week.

thesaurus - 16 Mar 2004 14:13 - 85 of 159

Will this make 4p

kantona - 16 Mar 2004 17:46 - 86 of 159

i personally think so .. they hve held well against the recent bearish sentiment .. the only question is now what vill the market sentiment be like when the good news does arrive ? .. this is hard to predict .. personally though i have topped up with a further 88k shares today ... just a small amount, as thats all i could afford under the present circumstances.

7840 - 17 Mar 2004 09:35 - 87 of 159

ive got in on chelford today sue trading well so far lets hope it keeps going

iamole - 17 Mar 2004 12:05 - 88 of 159

This thread seems to have gone quiet lately, and dare I say - Bearish. I was expecting 3.5p by now, very disappointing. Trading is very thin, but there's still time before the results for a rally. Kantona - what do you mean by the bearish statement?, I haven't noticed this.

7840 - 17 Mar 2004 20:16 - 89 of 159

hi sue chelford looked cheap this morning, progressing nicely, only 1 sell today lets hope the m.m behave themselves tomorrow. when are you buying in again sue.

jules99 - 17 Mar 2004 23:34 - 90 of 159

Just 7 days before the results now, should see chelford start steaming Northwards towards 4p, but hopefully a lot further, miracles have happened so i'm pretty open minded if they price shoots up past the old high of 6p..!!

Still hold all mine and will continue to do so till I see 10p-15p down the road, I'm patient... as this baby could become the surprise of 2004!

good luck to all who got in there first...

jules99.

SueHelen - 17 Mar 2004 23:52 - 91 of 159

Hi 7840, I will be coming back into these next Thursday, day before the results are to be announced.

windys160 - 18 Mar 2004 08:11 - 92 of 159

suehelen why r u going to wait until thursday surly you will make more profit if you buy in now on the run up to the results or do you feel that the price will not rise that much until then? windy

7840 - 18 Mar 2004 11:13 - 93 of 159

i agree windy people should get in now and do a t10

keith thomas - 18 Mar 2004 11:55 - 94 of 159

Sells are gaining ground now!!

chartist2004 - 18 Mar 2004 12:23 - 95 of 159

Will it follow the trend and fall off the cliff once good results are announced?
I do hope not cos I hold a few @ 2.83! Strange world this share trading...

roma - 18 Mar 2004 15:37 - 96 of 159

I see the MMs have pushed up the bid price again, perhaps they are trying to flush out a few sellers, maybe they need some stock?

Baughfell - 18 Mar 2004 20:22 - 97 of 159

It wouldn't surprise me to see a fall in price tomorrow as a last attempt to shake out the weak holders - this has happened on a couple of Fridays recently.

Once we get in to next week I think we will see some significant moves upwards as we get closer to results. I'm hoping that the statement will also reiterate the very positive start to 2004 as well as confirm excellent results for last year. If it does I expect the price to jump further on Friday once the announcement hits the streets.

Baughfell - 18 Mar 2004 20:28 - 98 of 159

Just looked at the buys that came in late in the day including 372k @ 3.2p - looking good - may not be a fall tomorrow after all

jules99 - 18 Mar 2004 23:00 - 99 of 159

big buyers at 3.2p sounds good to me..on that note, i'll say goodnite...

time for zzzzz...zzz...!

windys160 - 19 Mar 2004 09:04 - 100 of 159

morning all slow start today hope to see 3.25p by end of day any views

7840 - 19 Mar 2004 13:32 - 101 of 159

i think we mite struggle today windys160 but we will get their next week trust me

windys160 - 19 Mar 2004 14:01 - 102 of 159

7840 do you think we could see 5P and beyond in the coming months after results or do you think they will do the same as idn as done and drop 1.5p in a fortnight, let's hope they don't! :-(, hope to have :-) after results here's hoping cheers windy

keith thomas - 19 Mar 2004 14:22 - 103 of 159

hope they hit at least 4p within next 8 days. then the decision will be to sell or stick with them

batty hill - 19 Mar 2004 14:34 - 104 of 159

I agree with 7840 4-5p {END OF NEXT WEEK }

keith thomas - 19 Mar 2004 14:36 - 105 of 159

Good, if it gets to 4-5p do we hold or sell?.....hmmmm

7840 - 19 Mar 2004 15:24 - 106 of 159

over 1m sold today

windys160 - 19 Mar 2004 16:25 - 109 of 159

i am surprised to see so many sales today, thought we would see a lot of buying at this level maybe we will next week on the count down to results.

windys160 - 22 Mar 2004 11:22 - 110 of 159

let's hope trading will pick up as week goes on as it seems to be a slow start to the week so far, any views?

7840 - 22 Mar 2004 12:30 - 111 of 159

have you got any more inside news on chelford yet batty hill or is it a bit soon yet, let us all know because ive got all my money in chelford many thanks.

windys160 - 22 Mar 2004 12:51 - 112 of 159

7840 netb2b2 looks set to start on the upwards trend if looking for another punt, windys

Tokyo - 22 Mar 2004 13:25 - 113 of 159

quite a few sells again today, just got into this stock, very surprised to see the largest purchase at only 129,831 shares, thought this would be racing up in the final week to the results, is this just the MM's trying mucking about or what?

windys160 - 22 Mar 2004 14:16 - 114 of 159

price dropped was expecting a price rise, are the results going to be worse than expected or is this just tree shaking ?

windys160 - 22 Mar 2004 14:48 - 115 of 159

finding it hard to stay above 3p, still confident it will reach 4.5p, or i am hoping for to much ?,

7840 - 22 Mar 2004 18:24 - 116 of 159

no your not hoping for to much, wednesday, thursday, are going to be the time they go , its been a bad trading day all round keep in their you have got to be in it to win it.

Baughfell - 22 Mar 2004 19:57 - 117 of 159

I agree. Don't forget that CHR has risen an awful long way in the past 3 months so even at this late stage there will be nervous profit taking.

Will definately hot up toward the end of the week though, just look at whats happened to NEB today

keith thomas - 23 Mar 2004 18:06 - 118 of 159

are these going to fly wed/thurs/fri?

batty hill - 23 Mar 2004 19:53 - 119 of 159

Keith Thomas,
The results will be good on the 26th. Price will rise friday, Media coverage over the weekend and good day monday/ tuesday. Good Luck all {CHR} holders.

Tokyo - 24 Mar 2004 03:28 - 120 of 159

batty hill & all CHR holders in the know - What sort of profit figure are we looking for from the results? What will push this stock up to 4.5p - 6p and keep it there. Is this only gonna be short term stock or do they have the fundamentals to be a good long term investment to attract the financial institutes?

chartist2004 - 24 Mar 2004 11:21 - 121 of 159

Nice 1.83ml buy just gone through @ 3.25 results Fri...

Tokyo - 4.5/6p would be good..

7840 - 24 Mar 2004 13:08 - 122 of 159

tokyo 4/5 friday till end of next week then i think will ease back a little, lets all wait , not long to wait know good luck traders.

Tokyo - 24 Mar 2004 13:20 - 123 of 159

The results are expected to be good, but again what sort of profit figure is excepted? not stock price, but operating profit?

Tokyo - 25 Mar 2004 11:08 - 124 of 159

Where has all the trading gone? Are people still in this one, or have you all got out, this thread has gone exteremly quiet, considering the results will come out tomorrow

Legins - 25 Mar 2004 11:47 - 125 of 159

Tokyo, were all waiting for the fat lady to sing.

Legins - 25 Mar 2004 11:48 - 126 of 159

keith thomas - 25 Mar 2004 12:04 - 127 of 159

lets hope the fat lady sings in tune!

keith thomas - 25 Mar 2004 12:25 - 128 of 159

Time to get out i wonder?

kantona - 25 Mar 2004 13:04 - 129 of 159

i am a holder of this share .. those who hold have two options in my view .. if u in it for the short term .. then sell today .. because as soon as the market opens tomorrow then on the first few sells the mm will drop the price down like a rocket like they did on IDN... so sell today while u can..

if however , if you believe in the company and want value and want to get value for ur shares you have to be prepared to hold for 6 months to really enjoy the fruits of the new positive sentiment for this company.

i hold plenty in this one ..for a me it was short term initially .. however in the absence of other good growth companys i have decided to go with this for another 6 months .. i am looking forward to the results.. but not the price fluctuations that vill come over the next few days.. i am glad i don't have any longs on these ..i own my stock ..

so pleese everyone do not come tomorrow and complain asking why the shares are down despite good results.... the answer i'll tell u now is that many people have positions they wish to close soon after the results ..dangerous game to play and unfortunatley the only winners will be the mm's who will take up loads of cheap stock..

so good luck to all those in it for the long term..and i wish all the short termers all the best and i hope u don't get ur fingers burnt tomorrow.

keith thomas - 25 Mar 2004 13:19 - 130 of 159

Surely if its viewed as a good medium to long term buy then the institutions will move in soon?? or is my logic wrong

bosley - 25 Mar 2004 13:34 - 131 of 159

keith , have a look at what happened to rtd, bprg, nsb and others who all posted excellent results , new deals , and still had price drops on the day all this was announced. no idea why but thats what happened.it hurt me so look out . i have held these from way way back and am happy that they are now being viewed as a good investment and the price is moving upwards. i will continue to hold as the price is still some way off what i bounght in at . ever hopeful....

Legins - 25 Mar 2004 15:35 - 132 of 159

The fat lady should be singing in tune tomorrow!

Legins - 25 Mar 2004 15:35 - 133 of 159

kantona - 26 Mar 2004 07:48 - 134 of 159

excellent results .. the mm's are ready for those wishing to off- load today pre-market bid 2.5 - 3.0 .. good luck to all

CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT

Introduction

The results for 2003 mark an important turning point for Chelford Group plc. For
much of the year, market conditions continued to be difficult although there
were some signs of an improvement in the latter stages. The Group moved into
profit at EBTA level during the second half of the year and performance improved
steadily as the year progressed.

SSI Limited ("the SSI Division", supply chain software and services) was
profitable at EBTA level throughout the year. Chelford SAP Solutions ("the SAP
Division", a value-added reseller of SAP products and services) was acquired at
the end of 2002 and has been integrated into the Group successfully. Although
loss-making in the first half of the year, this business has been turned round
and made a positive contribution in the second half of the year.

bosley - 26 Mar 2004 08:29 - 135 of 159

here we go . here comes the price drop . if it ends the day above 2.5 i will be surprised

chartist2004 - 26 Mar 2004 08:36 - 136 of 159

Good results pirce falls - so if the results were c*ap would the price have risen? Following the trend, Doing a RTD would seem.:o((

kantona - 26 Mar 2004 08:37 - 137 of 159

i know i said to myself i will not monitor the price fluctuations today ..couldn't resist .. on L2 so far just 16 trades total shares traded around 500,000, the buy and sells so far evenly matched .. read into it what u like .. winterfolds have been the ones driving the price down they are currently 2.1 -.2.6 at the moment 2 mm at 2.1-2.6 and other two 2.3-.2.6 only a matter of time before the bid drops to 2.1 ..

kantona - 26 Mar 2004 08:47 - 138 of 159

L2 showing upward trend now few buys coming in .. 2 mm on 2.3 -2.6 .. well ..well winterfolds were clearly trying to get some cheap stock as they are now 2.4-2.9 what a turn around in space of two minutes .. hold tight today everyone

chartist2004 - 26 Mar 2004 09:10 - 139 of 159

Kanyona - Thanx for the info, cheered me up to tad, in for the long haul, become an investor again, scalping knife back in the draw for now!

kantona - 26 Mar 2004 09:16 - 140 of 159

b4 i go out ..the current l2 is two mm's on 2.6 - 3.1 one 2.5- 2.7 one on 2.2-2.5 some largish delayed buys coming in ..another mm ploy where they delay significant buys and drop price to lure in sellers .. or that's what's my understanding .. going out now ..in it for another 6 months for better or worse ..

keith thomas - 26 Mar 2004 11:37 - 141 of 159

What happened to 4-4.5p guys??

kantona - 26 Mar 2004 11:53 - 142 of 159

i take u have not been reading the previous messages for the past few days ..

unfortunately it's the mm who decide the share price us minians could only offer our views ..this is something we should all understand .. i think the thread above is has been sensibly contributed to and since the Madrid bombings .. the market taking a negative turn the previous expectations had to be re-adjusted by all and in fairness to everyone have done this ..

this share has now become more of an investment co than one for trading ..although if people played it correctly then gains were there for the takings eother way..

i too was expecting fireworks when i first got into them ..but adjusted my thoughts in line with market expectations.. the share price has done well today .. it did fall as i predicted yesterday but since recovered and held's it's ground ..which to me is positive and bodes well for the future and it now has platform to build upon .. i am personally holding out for next few few months at the very least in order to give the company time to develop before realising my investment ..

i believe that's the best way forward

good luck

roma - 26 Mar 2004 12:08 - 143 of 159

I sold out beginning of the week at 2.97p. I'm glad I did now.

keith thomas - 26 Mar 2004 12:17 - 144 of 159

Thanks for your comments Kantona. Like you I will hold but when do you think they will reach the 'dizzy heights' of 4-5p?

kantona - 26 Mar 2004 13:23 - 145 of 159

no probs .. keith .. i know it's bit frustrating sometimes when all goes well but u don't actually see it being reflected in the price ..

personally i expected as much .. because there has been alot of coverage on various bb's re this over the past few months .. unfortunately the mm's do themselves catch onto this and they in turn try to out think the punters and to extent they have done it well..

i am now looking over the next few weeks for a period of stability .. i expect some form of positive coverage on this maybe as soon as the weekend in the press (but not holding breath ) .. i'll be looking over the weeks at the actions of directors for them to give there backing by maybe buying some themselves .. i would expect form of broker coverage in light of the new results .. there vll be the agm (not sure when)..

i am not saying all this vll happen .. but thats my way at looking at the positive's .. i will be extremely disappointed if nothing happens from here on in ..but that's the risk i am prepared to take.

as for the price .. i am not going to put any targets or time scales ..but i do see value in holding for next 6 months .. which sounds alot but in investment terms it's not a long time at all..

in view of the company's profitabilty i also see the sector as being very saturated.. so you cannot discount any form of consolidation or even an offer from elsewhere.. i must stress though this is me just thinking aloud .. certainly there is no evidence at all out there of this happening.

i have still not answered your question .. for my own benefit i would like to think the companys has potential to come closer to the 5p mark in time for the interims .. so i am looking for 50-60% increase in my ivestment over 6 months .. but no gurantee this vll happen and that's the beauty of trading ..we all live on dreams ..but when you wake up to reality it does not always live up to it's expectations..

P.S keith have a look at Ringprop on a 6 month view .. to me this could be the hot one for summer ..

keith thomas - 28 Mar 2004 12:52 - 146 of 159

Has anybody seen any press coverage over the weekend on the results??

Baughfell - 28 Mar 2004 19:36 - 147 of 159

I looked but didn't find..

neilpos - 29 Mar 2004 08:53 - 148 of 159

Anyone know why the significant drop this morning? I have not bought in to these but considering at the moment.

robstuff - 29 Mar 2004 10:13 - 149 of 159

Fun's over, i sold before results as most shares currently falling on results even if good, the thing is these were expected to do significantly better i think - see previous posts of mine and they could now drop for weeks as have rtd and lots of others. For a bit of spec short term fun try DES then look at chr again in a month

keith thomas - 29 Mar 2004 15:22 - 150 of 159

was there any press coverage of these in the weekend papers?

keith thomas - 29 Mar 2004 15:25 - 151 of 159

Almost as many bought as there was sold today, maybe the buyers are moving back in!! any thoughts?

SueHelen - 29 Mar 2004 17:48 - 152 of 159

After my NEB fell even with good results I decided not to buy any of these prior to or after the results.

little woman - 29 Mar 2004 17:56 - 153 of 159

I hope you don't mind me posting the following reminder:

Please don't forget, you only have two more trading days to post your entry for April for the FTSE competition - try not to miss the deadline.

If you don't enter you don't have the chance of being no 1!

keith thomas - 30 Mar 2004 14:22 - 154 of 159

so far today the buys outnumber the sell by 2:1
lets hope buyers stay with it and drive the price back up again!!

pd4wcuf - 30 Mar 2004 16:10 - 155 of 159

Yes it would be nice to see that 3p barrier broken then look for consistent performance. Its all gone a bit funny since results.

breydon - 30 Mar 2004 19:29 - 156 of 159

well !!!!!!!!!!
do we get more or bail ????
what went wrong here then

keith thomas - 02 Apr 2004 13:37 - 157 of 159

This price seems to have stabalised around 2-2.15p. Does anyone have any views about whether it will fall any further, or will it now start to climb.
In essence this is still a good company

jules99 - 02 Apr 2004 22:03 - 158 of 159

Been away but back here at long last, i notice the drop in price, luckily im in the long term, hold a fair whack, ups n downs should always be expected with or without good results... look at reuters lately...if you cannot bear the downside of trading/investing you shouldn't be trading or buying stocks...or need to understand basics and do more research into investing...

However if in it for longer term investment, CHR will payoff handsomely, i dont doubt a 10p+ gain somewhere down the line, naturally if the market and company are doing well, in time this will be reflected in the share price of CHR as time goes on, the bonus here is %gains will be high on CHR hence i will stay with Chelford. The current price of sub2.5p is well worth noting..

My personal target remains 10p+ on Chelford and in time this will I beleive reflect in the turnaround, but not without some high degree of patience by all investors

Chelford 3-6+ months from now who knows?

chat again in 3-6 months time...with regards price..jules99.

keith thomas - 15 Apr 2004 16:33 - 159 of 159

Price seems to have stabalised and is slowly creeping back up again.
Is this the star of another sustained climb do you think??
