This company seems to be undiscovered by many. Brokers are forecasting EPS >15p for 2005 which even at modest PE of 10 makes an attractive buying opportunity at 84p. I have bought twice and am sitting and waiting hoping this will take off but if shares are good enough for Director Jim Hodkinson things must be on the up. As a prisoner of the missus TV shopping I can see why they should be successful. Most people think QVC when TV shopping but Ideal will certainly appeal more to the masses and now on Freeview things could further improve.
Take a look yourselves but I see chance to double your money at least!

no it doesn`t (appeal to the masses)
I stopped shopping there due to several things.
Poor customer service being one
call centre in India another
poor returns service etc
a neighbour also stopped shopping there
it doesn`t get anywhere near the standard set by qvc
we must be pretty representative of their (used to be) customers

Undiscoverd or unwanted can you really see its market value doubling on sort off products been sold. And as gentelam has said customer service is so poor, how will the company take the market share from its clearly more accomplished competitors, and chairman buying 17k of shares must know something bigs in pipe line, never take advice from a woman about money,as you well know all they can do is spend it on tack financial advisers not shoppers yes,i suggest you make a plan and brakeout, make an escape from your missus to the pub.Just hope y dont get set upon by a bear on way t pisser cos i reakon its there waiting for y.

Ok folks, take your points based on your own personal experiences however one thing that is a rapidly growing culture change is home shopping through the TV and the internet 'cos its cheaper and takes less time. A lot of the stuff on these programs I would not personally buy but people are doing exactly that and there is sometimes no accounting for taste and the sad thing is that the average Joe who doesn't give a stuff about things like the stock-market seem to like buying this stuff???
My missus scans through TV shopping when there is sod all on the other several hundred channels and occasionally purchases something and so far no problems at all with service, the call centre moved as there were too many lazy arsed sods in UK not prepared to work evenings, another part of our culture!!
I've taken a gamble on this one and I agree, it will either take off and I will cash in or I'll have to make a quick exit, thats all in the fun of gambling on the shares.
Whatever happens, no need to escape from my missus, when you've got the best who needs the pub?

snip & new fool,
what a nice week I've had, 35-40% profits & still more upside to come, not too late to get on board folks and still a chance for at least 50% profit in 2005 at todays price, no bears waiting here this year at the moment!

Exactly, and after troubles of a few years ago sorted, opportunties even greater now, forecast EPS >15p for 2005 and a decent chairman who has now bought 125,000 shares @>100K in a matter of months I reckon they are heading back towards 2.

I don't think so, it has been through the pain that hopefully ASOS will address before it affects them, that is rapid growth that it's buyers, distribution and service could not sustain and now IDS has come out the other side.
Although internet shopping is increasing, I think TV shopping also has a bright future for several reasons, it is now more accessible, you can see the product in action and you can order via telephone remembering that some people either don't/won't use computers or trust them.
As well as selling thier "own" products they also sell air-time on another channel to sellers and take a %age of sales.
I think heading towards and beyond 2 by this time next year, JH is continually buying shares even at 94p last week, a good endorsement.

Hi everyone,
This is definitely an overlooked share. It was recommended by Shares or the IC over a year ago. I got in at 53p and then sold at 73p. Not a bad profit but then it nosedived a little and now its back up even higher! Hasn't been mentioned in the mags though so it just shows how these little gems don't always need media scrutiny to perform!

Still time to get in here before Christmas and the year end, expect a strong performance and the same with the sp in the run up to the finals when it is predicted to pay a maiden dividend. With the recent 40% rise in sp, after some inevitable profit taking it has held up.
After earlier cynicism from snip/new fool, I'm glad the missus watches this, glad I bought the shares and with decent management hopefully push on past 150p and towards 200p please!!

Clearly people are out there and spending their money through TV Shopping.
Nice to get one right, confirms my culture change theories driving this and the likes of ASC (wish I'd bought at 27p earlier!!). Also think will drive YOO.
Just about enough time to get in at IDS ahead of institutions and I still think heading to 200p.

andy, have also been with IDS.
I do think however that quite a few institutions are already in it but they do expect much more.

Oh the joy of getting one right with well over 100% profit and marching towards 200%. Can't wait for results on 2nd March when IDS profits >4m expected or>EPS13. Still room for this one to grow further, 2.50 after results.
Don't want to gloat but its nice to look back at the responses to my first posting, unwanted goods and shares, YOU WERE WRONG FOLKS.
Still got the missus and the shares and all doing well thanks.
As I said IDS appeals to the general public and will continue to grow as will theirs and my profits.

Great results, bundles of cash, maiden dividend and positive outlook.
Amazingly despite all the above the share price rises :-)

Capa, Took out 40% of my holding at 150% profit, covering my stake +10% profit leaving the rest as freebies to watch and see what happens. Just thought it time to bank some profit before the Summer and I needed some dosh to do other things. Glad to have some profit and glad to still be in IDS which might be 3 by the year end? I too can't understand the lack of interest here, I was almost laughed down when I started this thread, so I'm laughing now with profit already banked and 1.5times my stake still in this holding!!!!!

I had a good run with IDS Pete, almost 200% profit and if you read the responses to my setting up this thread, those folk havn't been able to comeback and graciously say they were wrong. With the twats at No 10 & No 11 and the BOE restricting cash to middle England and IDS going 37p past my target I took the profits and gave some to the missus to go shopping.
Still think IDS can improve further but you can't keep them all forever, its only a profit when you bank it.

Why are you so afraid of bad news???
Pull that wool from over your eyes which Kivver and others have put there. This share is a dog with fleas and has never been worth any attention. You should sell now before the bad news hits the fan - or your pocket will feel the pinch!!!

I recall looking at this thread when you started and for some reason didn't do anything about it, my loss. Well done on your pick, it certainly paid off.
I see we now have one of pro's alter egos posting as well as the great man himself, no doubt informer and MRSMoneypenny will be along soon! He is now expanding his deramping activities to other stocks as well as this one. Wouldn't mind if any of it was based on fact, but as usual, just off the cuff stupid comments without any foundation.

Pete, looks like another thread infiltrated by twats.
For example post 30 of 31.
"This share is a dog with fleas and has never been worth any attention. You should sell now before the bad news hits the fan - or your pocket will feel the pinch!!!"
When I started this is 84p, I had bought at 81p, knobheads told me I would lose my money. OK, bought at 81p, sold at 237p!!!!!
The only problem with my pockets wa157te is that they were not big enough for the profits made from IDS!!!!
Hopefully MAM will take actions and get these threads sorted out like they used to be just a few months ago, too many aresholes from ADVFN on here now spoiling it all.

Ian T is well aware of this muppet and his 'spamming' of a variety of threads. Following his personal attack on me (CFP/DGT thread) I understand he is probably on his last warning. I hadn't realised this morning how widespread his idiotic comments had become. His attempts at lending credence to his childish posts by posting under multiple aliases is as tranparent as his very small brain. A ADVFN poster was hoofed off the EVS thread and MAM on Friday, I would fully expect this moron to follow quite soon. Hopefully order will then be restored.

There is little prospect of future growth I'm afraid. It's sad, I know, but there's little to be done. We can wait a year or two to see if the situation changes but there again, we can't have too much room for optimism can we. I'm seriously thinking of joining the others and selling up. It's all quite morbid really.

Bashers on here recently have made themselves look stupid.
Continued growth at IDS and 300p target.
Ian (moneyam), the figures for profit/PE ratio/PEG need updating on the quote page. IDS reported thier results earlier in the year and >3m profit.
