Arjen, I am not anti you but I can see why you may feel some people are

Three things AJ :

1) Arrogance - see fact above (are you winning the stockpicker of the year comp?)
2) Communication - the way you put points across can rub people up the wrong way (often very short and/or repetitive)
3) Overly serious - see FTSE monthly competition.

Personally i have no problem with you but some of the posts you make are guaranteed to rub some people up the wrong way (ie the ramping posts at SueHelen earlier). Relax a bit more on the board and dont make everything into too serious an issue. All just my view and hope you dont take offence - but you did ask!

I think you were being more than assertive. It is reasonable to ask a question a couple of times as people may miss the odd post. Repeating the same question and pressing the point home in post after post does get a bit boring for everyobe else. After maybe three repeats it should be clear that the person does not want to answer the question for whatever reason. At that point it is probbaly better to let it rest. Don't forget that we all have to read these posts as well.

I have said all that above in as polite a way as I can manage.

I like Churchill's comment about General De Gaulle. He said that De Gaulle was the perfect gentleman in that he never upset anyone by accident.

I,as far as I can recall,have rarely repeated myself.SueHelen is the exception.
Rampers extract money from new/naive investors.SueHelen is a ramper - 50 p CMS -
and should be treated with contempt.

It does make me laugh, so many people seem to have issues with arjen and his aggressive (assertive) postings... He cannot see this just keeps coming back with the same comments. Fact is if you were the best stockpicker you would not need to post on these boards, you could take comfort in your own success not have to get recognition on this or other boards... Since then I have read all his posts on the ones he mentioned.AGGRESSIVE he is.
However,I have to admit all his posts were spot on.
In fact,his heronly FAILURE - apart from breaking even on my calculations in CYH
and PT.G - was buying Corus at 8 p.and selling at a nice profit of 14p.It went up to 46.75
Also correct was Rolls Royce and Pfizer trading on S and P.How does he/shedo it.
I do not think it is he.I think he/she is in the City and is part of a group
having Insider information.Why is he/she the group on the board.I have no idea.
