djh57...thank you for the info. I got in today at .0675p (small time). Let's hope there's good news Monday. There may be refeerence to a further cash call (may already be done and that's why sp has gone down, imho).
More importantly, lets hope there's lots of good news on new contracts/deals and also reference to good current trading etc.
BTW ... what other companies are you in ?
Good luck for Monday! :)

Hi skyhigh, have you checked out Avanti screenmedia its probably a better punt than this one as it has more income streams and is a market leader. (just won a 4.3m contract) I set up a trade AVG a while ago.........
I'm in SEO as the majority of the western world appear to be but the best advice i can give you is DYOR and don't get sucked in after the partys over ive got burnt a number of times recently and am nursing heavy paper losses in some, this means i have to keep the finance tied up
But im looking to Monday for some good news on this one
Fingers crossed

Blackbelt.. agree with your advise re: being sucked in when the partys over..
I'm stuck with a few bummers ie... DEMG, CWV, WTV, WGT, MIL,(was IAL)
Djh57, I'm also in RTD... loking good. PXC.. .will actually take off soon I'm sure.
Also in ARC,SOP,LBN,IDOX,NWD,IQE,CFG,TND,COR,
2 big lessons I've learnt over the yrs... If a good share doesn't move don't sell too soon.. there's been plenty of shares I've sold that go up soon after.. quality comes through in the end. If it's making profits and growing t/over, revenues/profits the sp will come good sooner or later.
Also, use a 15% stop loss on a share where the outcome is looking dodgy/uncertain..
Hope this helps... good luck :)

I feel quite disenchanted with sfx! I was hoping for more contract wins to be announced but am sure there still under negotiation.
The expansion into more Malls is significant attaining 300m footfall. That kind of market reach is bound to have potential advertisers foaming at the mouth!
Im dug in for the long term on these ones I feel the profits will come through next year very strong. The orders will be based on multi year contracts with the company having little overheads.
The use of BT for support should provide a cost effective service. The safety net with these shares is they quite prone to be taken over by big advertisers. Im sure they are keeping a close eye on scren fx as its becoming extremely hard to find a effevtive medium to target customers.
I feel optimistic that they will not need shares issue due to their cashin hand. If they dont require a further dilution the share is poised to move significantly with any contract wins. Anybody getting in at this level like you skyhigh are sure to make on these, unfortunately im gonna have to average my holding down or sit tight on these for long term.........

Could be adding them to my capital gains offset next year! I don't know where this company is in competition with Avanti Screenmedia, who are going from strength to strength, but if they become a bit of a nuisance as far as ASG are concerned then maybe they might snap them up. SFX's balance sheets make for x rated reading but they are still relatively young, getting good contracts and heading towards trading themselves in to a not half bad position.....but then again, shit happens!

I see that Titan Outdoor Limited are to take The Maiden Group over at 20p cash per share:-
Wed 15 Mar 2006
MAIDEN (MDN), the outdoor advertising group, has agreed to be taken over after conceding it would become insolvent without the deal.
Titan Holdings, which provides billboard, telephone kiosk and street banner advertising in North America and Ireland, has offered to pay 49.6 million for Maiden, including 39m of debt. Banks refused to increase lending facilities to Maiden in February.
It operates advertising sites at more than 500 railway stations in the UK, while it also has a strong presence at supermarkets and shopping malls.
I'm not suggesting that SFX could become a target for Titan......but who knows?!

FILM Birminghams Director, Suzie Ralph, who is launching the first Rolling Stock train from New Street Station this week, thinks its a fantastic idea, Through this festival, IDEASFACTORY have come up with a brilliant new way of showcasing film. Birmingham has always been a city of innovators and film pioneers this is another example of how we are leading the way in finding creative, original ways of bringing film to a new audience.
Around 70 shorts, produced by both first time and professional film makers from as far a field as Australia and Hong Kong to Wolverhampton, will be screened during the four week event to an audience of over 70,000 passengers. The films will be shown through the network of on-board televisions introduced by Screen FX in December 2005.
Dan Jones, Editor of IDEASFACTORY West Midlands said: The Rolling Stock Short Film Festival is a unique opportunity to showcase new and established talent to a huge travelling audience. We hope that the inspirational schedule will provide some welcome entertainment for our travelling audience on their daily commute.
Stephen Ollier, Chief Executive of Train FX (the train operating division of Screen FX) said: We are delighted to be working with Channel 4 IDEASFACTORY on this interesting initiative. Im sure this film festival will reach more viewers than most.
Steve Banaghan, Managing Director for Central Trains, said: The TVs on trains have proved very popular with our passengers and we are pleased to support the worlds first film festival on a train.
Passengers will be able to text-vote for their favourite film throughout the festival, with the most popular shorts taking home a cash prize and filmmaking equipment courtesy of Casio. Voters also have the chance to win a one month rail pass each week during the festival.

Acquisition of POPtv
RNS Number:1464I
Screen FX PLC
29 August 2006
Press Release 29 August 2006
ScreenFX plc
("ScreenFX" or "the Company")
Acquisition of competitor POPtv
ScreenFX plc (AIM: SFX), the digital advertising and communications specialist,
today announces the acquisition of POPtv Limited ("POPtv"), an independent
media sales company representing screen media in shopping malls, health and
retail environments, for a total consideration of #75,000, together with a
management earn-out linked to gross profit over the next four years.
Independently owned POPtv, which stands for 'Point of Purchase' TV, had a
turnover of #1.2 million at 31 March 2006. All POPtv senior management will
remain in position.
To demonstrate his confidence in the enlarged group, Mike Cottman, Non-Executive
Chairman of POPtv and its majority shareholder, will be subscribing for #500,000
of new shares in ScreenFX at a price of 1.8 pence per share. The admission of
the new shares is expected to become effective at 8.00 a.m. on 4 September 2006.
The new shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing Ordinary
Shares in issue.
David Clark, Chief Executive Officer of ScreenFX, said: "The synergies that
exist between POPtv and our Mall and Health divisions make this an excellent
acquisition, as it allows the Group to remove a competitor and remain focused on
our core offerings whilst strengthening our overall market position. We are now
represented in more of the country's biggest shopping malls, and will
significantly increase our penetration into the growing public health sector."
ScreenFX adds the digital advertising and content contracts with Bullring
Birmingham, Manchester Arndale, Frenchgate Doncaster, Oracle Reading and FBDY
Fulham to its strong existing roster of shopping malls which includes The
Trafford Centre, Manchester; The MetroCentre, Newcastle-upon-Tyne; and,
Lakeside, Thurrock. As a result, the Company's MallFX division will increase
total reach from 360 million customers to over 450 million shoppers annually.
In the public health sector, the acquisition adds the advertising revenues from
The Life Channel currently screened in almost 900 GP surgeries nationwide, and
also, Baby TV (a specialist channel in antenatal waiting rooms in hospitals).
Mike Cottman, Non-Executive Chairman of POPtv, said: "In selecting ScreenFX as
our future partner we firmly believe we have chosen the business best placed to
capitalise on the growth in the out of home digital screen space. ScreenFX
offers a broad range of services which are ideal for the continued development
of our clients and our people."

Screen FX H1 pretax loss widens
AFX
LONDON (AFX) - Screen FX PLC, which provides digital screen media, incurred a pretax loss of 2.6 mln stg in the first half of 2006, widening from a loss of 1.6 mln the prior year after a period of significant investment.
Turnover for the half year almost doubled the previous full year at 1.02 mln stg, compared with 118,000 stg for the comparative half-year.
Chief executive Dave Clark said ScreenFX continues to make strong progress and has now established itself as a leading player in the digital out-of-home market place.
Through MallFX he said the group has built the premium digital screen network in 25 of the UK's 'super malls', whilst the TrainFX and HealthFX divisions have also established a foothold in two strategically important channels and he said the board believes these opportunities can add significant incremental revenue streams to the group in the medium term.
'The media industry now expects that the digital outdoor sector will see significant growth in the coming years and we are confident that the ScreenFX business is well placed to capitalise in this marketplace.'
The board also said today that the balance sheet in the short term requires strengthening and it is working towards securing additional sources of finance in order to develop the business to its full potential.
Having invested in building the group's networks and the organisational capacity that operations require, the board said it now has the infrastructure in place to support longer term profitable growth.
