Site problems

Madison - 02 May 2005 23:49

Anyone else having login problems?

Most of the time tonight I haven't even been able to get to the login page at all. When it finally decided to appear it then took much longer than usual to let me on. After this I was almost immediately asked to logon again.

I have a broadband connection and no problems with any other site. I've done all the standard checks, rebooting, clearing temp files etc...

Cheers, Madison

Spaceman - 02 May 2005 23:54 - 2 of 67

Madison, you were not alone, i had the same problems but I know from others that they did not.

Madison - 03 May 2005 00:09 - 3 of 67

Cheers Spaceman, it's always reassuring to know others are having similar problems. We had something similar last weekend, which many commented on, but I've had no problems during the week.

Just hope everything's going to be good in the morning as I've got a busy day...

Cheers, Madison

Madison/Spaceman,

You should be able to login with no problems this morning, but I will get the tech guys to investigate what happened over the weekend,

Thanks

Ian

Morning - I am able to login ok - but response time is terrible - feels like you have a server down.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 03 May 2005 08:15 - 6 of 67

Baza,

The site is running as I would expect it to be at this end - can you tell me if there are any specific areas that are slow for you?

Ian

bhunt1910 - 03 May 2005 09:37 - 7 of 67

Ian - problems seem to have gone away after I logged out and back in again

However - VML issued an announcement this morning which I missed - however someone else posted it on the VML thread. Is ther any particular reason why this is not shown as a News item against VML on the stockwatch list ?

Thanks

Baza

Spaceman - 03 May 2005 09:41 - 8 of 67

Some people may notice that their PC's seem slow this morning (mine for example) as there has been a virus warning poted and many virus software vendors have issued updates, if your machine has decided to run a full scan this will be taking a lot of CPU time and takes some time to complete. Mine is still running after about 30 minutes and my machine is very slugish !

bhunt1910 - 03 May 2005 09:51 - 9 of 67

Spaceman - thank you - that may well have been my problem as well.

Ian

gavdfc - 10 May 2005 14:34 - 33 of 67

Cheers Ian. Madison, I'm talking about the trdaes page for SIA. It shows last trade at 12.54, then I change to something else or re-fresh then shows the correct last trades.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 May 2005 14:35 - 34 of 67

Both the streaming services and the charts have been restarted so they should be working correctly from this point on.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 11 May 2005 08:32 - 39 of 67

bhunt1910,

The RNS news articles are labelled upstream. We take that data and apply it to our databases.

I'll contact them and let them know.

Ian/TullettJ

Theirs no rns news icon next to SUB icon on my stockwatch, could you please take a look.

Thanks

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 May 2005 07:05 - 41 of 67

Daws,

I will pass this onto the techies

Ian

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 17 May 2005 07:58 - 42 of 67

dawsinho,

Our RNS is provided by a supplier, they sometimes miscategorise things; there's not much we can do about it.

Graeme,

Just did a check - it has changed its name:

The Company would like to announce that a Special Resolution was passed at an
Extraordinary General Meeting held on Wednesday 11 May 2005 to change the name
of the Company to Cielo Holdings Plc. This name change was effected by
Companies House on Friday 13 May 2005.

I don't have an Epic code for it yet, but I will find one and get back to you,

Ian

Oakapples142 - 20 May 2005 08:07 - 47 of 67

jimmy b - 20 May 2005 08:12 - 48 of 67

I just can't get on either

wilbs - 20 May 2005 08:12 - 49 of 67

wilbs

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 20 May 2005 08:15 - 50 of 67

Are you still having problems?

Yes ok now thanks..

Chiva20 - 20 May 2005 12:40 - 54 of 67

Hi Ian,

I try and wap through price quotes by punching in an epic code on your home page. Sometimes I get the price displayed. However the majority of the time recently I get a message saying 'This page contains errors and cannot be displayed' Is this a problem with my phone (p910)/connection issue or is it connected to the site?

Can you let me know?

Many thanks

Chiva

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 May 2005 12:28 - 55 of 67

Chiva,

I am not sure - I will pass this onto our technical team to see if they have any ideas,

J.

Sequestor - 23 May 2005 16:34 - 64 of 67

yep Tullet, did that- Stockwatch seems ok now- still showing me as a freebie though!

Chiva20 - 26 May 2005 17:09 - 65 of 67

Hi Ian,

Sorry to bother you with my previous problem. Have you had any success finding out what is happening? I logged onto your website via my P910 yesterday and got a quote, only for my next quote to produce the message 'This page contains fatal errors and cannot be displayed' I've since had that same message everytime I request a quote, on different stocks. Very frustrating.

If you know of any reasons why this keeps happening I'd be grateful for your feedback,

Many thanks

Chiva

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 26 May 2005 22:31 - 66 of 67

Chiva20,

We can't support viewing the full MoneyAM site on PDAs becuase there are many reasons why things may not work correctly (browser incompatiabilities, provider problems, caching issues)

The site is designed to be viewed on a normal web-browser on a desktop machine and becuase of this limitation we created the MoneyAM Mobile service which should allow you to view streaming watchlists on your PDA.

J.

Chiva20 - 27 May 2005 09:10 - 67 of 67

Thanks J, very helpful I will use that instead.
