driver/jimmy b,
yes, i left it a bit late after watching for a while but got in at 26.5p.
am interested in holding for a couple of years as i think the additional merchandising will lead to a serious re-rating in 2006/7 and a possible takeover.
the share price has been getting ahead of itself slightly and will pause occasionally, as it has been doing over the last week or so, but imho the SP has much further to go yet albeit at a slower pace.

Here ya go guys.
Im good to you.
Private equity firm Apax
Partners is believed to be
eyeing up Entertainment Rights
(ERT), owner of Postman Pat,
to merge it with Hit
Entertainment which it
acquired last month.
Apax is said to have been
increasingly interested in
Entertainment Rights since it
announced its deal with
American network HBO to
screen the Postman Pat series.
The company is reportedly
waiting to see how
Entertainment Rights fares in
the US before making its bid.
The speculation coincides
with the group appointing a
senior US executive
responsible for the strategic
direction of Entertainment
Rights licensing and
merchandising activities
throughout the US, Canada and
Latin America.
We believe ERT is currently
at the bottom of a highly
attractive growth curve and
our forecasts do not reflect any
upside from Postman Pat in
the US, says media analyst
Roddy Davidson at Altium
Securities. For this reason we
believe that even a bid
approach struck at a material
premium to current levels is in
danger of under-representing
the groups medium-term
value.
Shares in Entertainment
Rights have risen more than
10% already on the news and
are trading at 30p.
n Shares says: ERs
potential cash generation
makes it an ideal target for
private equity.

AQUILO (AQL)going to 6p!
Fact time. AQL results are due out by 30 June, The results are forecast to be better than the directors have indicated. The share price is now rising from its lows and this is about to bounce up. get in quick before you miss this great chance at making some money. its my opinion but if I were you I would buy some now,
6p is the short term target and longer term my target is 10p. The price has not fallen below 2p for a very long time so the downwards risk is very small.
The sp is up again today and will continue toward the 6p level before resting. Its my opinion but is easy money

Just seen this on the web, thought you may wanna see it.
Entertainment Rights: Price now 30p, up 118%.
A LANDMARK deal last month with media giant Time Warner to broadcast programmes featuring Postman Pat has raised hopes that Entertainment Rights' children's characters can crack the key US market. Pat will launch on a US pay-TV service in September, giving him access to 35 million American homes. A big marketing push on the back of the Time Warner deal should silence critics, who suggest that Pat and the quintessentially English village of Greendale where he plies his trade, might not transfer well to the US. The 489 million sale of rival HIT Entertainment, which owns Bob The Builder, has also buoyed the shares.

Entertainment Rights PLC
05 July 2005
5 July 2005
POSTMAN PAT(R) TO LAUNCH IN JAPAN ON DISNEY CHANNEL
Entertainment Rights ('ER'), one of the UK's fastest-growing independent media
groups specialising in the ownership of children's and family programming,
characters and brands, has secured an agreement with Buena Vista International
Inc to air Postman Pat(R) on Disney Channel in Japan, the world's second largest
toy market.
Postman Pat(R) will launch in Japan in April 2006 after Buena Vista
International Inc licensed 80 X 15 minute episodes plus 4 Specials for their
cable and satellite channel, Disney Channel.
The licensing of Postman Pat(R) to appear on Disney Channel follows the recent
agreement between ER and Time Warner for Postman Pat(R) to appear on HBO Family
channel in the US. These deals represent a major step in the global expansion of
the Postman Pat(R) brand and the achievement of two of ER's key goals for 2005.
These broadcast agreements offer ER significant opportunities in the world's two
largest toy markets with the value of the toys and games market in Japan
estimated at Y1022 billion annually (approx. US$9.7 billion) and the US at $33
billion annually.
ER is developing a comprehensive consumer products programme for
pre-school favourite Postman Pat(R) in Japan and will commence full brand
roll-out in the territory in 2006.
Commenting on Postman Pat(R)'s expansion into Japan, Mike Heap, CEO,
Entertainment Rights said:
'Securing such a prestigious broadcast platform as Disney Channel in Japan for
Postman Pat is a landmark achievement for both ER and the Postman Pat brand.
Japan is a key territory for ER and this agreement opens up significant
opportunities for the Company in the world's second largest toy market. Coupled
with the recent licensing of Postman Pat to Time Warner's HBO Family channel in
the US, this deal confirms the character's global appeal and offers major
licensing opportunities.'

CHIEF EXECUTIVE'S REVIEW
Entertainment Rights has fulfilled several key commercial objectives in the
first half of this year. The placement of Postman Pat(R) on premier broadcast
platforms in the US and Japan offers ER significant opportunities in these major
markets both for the brand and the Group.
ER owns and represents some of the strongest brands in the children's and family
market and the appeal of our broad portfolio is reflected in the Company's
strong global performance, evidenced by double digit growth from all business
operations.

OPERATING REVIEW
Television
Television distribution is a core activity for the Group and ER is committed to
producing and distributing new and innovative programming to supply the
increasing demands of broadcasters worldwide. These demands reflect the global
trend of increased television penetration and the continuing emergence of new
children's broadcast platforms, including ITV's new children's channel which is
expected to launch in the UK in the next six months. There are currently in
excess of 400 dedicated children's channels around the world, 24 of which
operate in the UK.
Revenue from television distribution increased by 74% in the first six months of
2005, reflecting the benefits of our extensive digital library of children's and
family programming. ER is the UK's largest independent supplier of children's
and family programming with a library currently standing at 1,800 hours.
Leading industry publication, Broadcast, in its September 2005 Report on UK
Distributors recognises ER as the UK's leading supplier of children's
programming.
Postman Pat(R) launched on Time Warner's HBO in the US earlier this month and
will launch on Buena Vista International's Disney channel in Japan in April
2006. The new series of Little Red TractorTM has sold to over 120 countries to
date and will launch on leading children's channel Kika in Germany, the number 1
European market, in October 2005. Little Red Tractor(R) is performing
particularly well in Scandinavia where it is a leading pre-school property.
The Filmation library of classic contemporary characters continues to generate
revenues around the world. He-Man and the Masters of the UniverseTM has launched
on Cartoon Network in Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East, She-Ra:
Princess of Power, Fat AlbertTM and He-Man and the Masters of the UniverseTM are
currently broadcasting on Cartoon Network in Latin America. BraveStarrTM has
been licensed to Ma Planete in France and PinocchioTM will also air in France
following an agreement with TPS Jeunesse.
ER's leading position in the UK is evidenced by our long established
relationships with UK broadcasters including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Five.
ER currently has 20 programmes under license to the BBC. Postman Pat(R)
continues to air on the BBC and CBeebies in the UK, with 88 Postman Pat(R)
episodes licenced and the broadcast platform secured beyond 2010. Other ER shows
broadcasting on the BBC include The Basil Brush Show(R), Little Red TractorTM,
BB3BTM and Boo!TM. Fun Song FactoryTM is broadcast on CiTV and GMTV1, TitchTM is
currently airing on Five and CubeezTM, InukTM, Grabbit RabbitTM and Treacle
PeopleTM are all currently appearing on Channel 4.
Third party programming continues to perform strongly, particularly Hasbro
titles TransformersTM, Duel MastersTM and B-DamanTM following a pan-European
broadcast commitment from Turner Broadcasting System Europe to air these series
on Cartoon Network. Mattel's Barbie(R), including new titles BarbieTM Fairytopia
and BarbieTM and the Magic of Pegasus, has also performed strongly with sales to
over 120 territories to-date.
Licensing and Merchandising
Group revenue from licensing and merchandising increased by 124% in the first
half of the year reflecting consumer appeal for ER's brands. We expect this
growth to be enhanced further in the medium to long term following the strategic
roll-out of consumer products in the key territories of the US and Japan.
Postman Pat(R) licensing revenues increased 140% during the first six months of
2005. Following an agreement with GlaxoSmithKline, Postman Pat(R) appeared on
circa 1 million tubes of Macleans(R) Milk Teeth toothpaste, evidencing Postman
Pat(R)'s significant position in the UK market. A groundbreaking deal with
leading playground designer and manufacturer, Wicksteed Leisure, will see
Postman Pat(R) themed playgrounds appearing in local nurseries, playgrounds and
leisure centres from Summer 2006. Postman Pat(R) is also the 2005 face of
children's charity Jeans for Genes and will be headlining a national campaign to
nursery schools, with over 25,000 mailers and activity packs being distributed
to nurseries throughout the UK. These and other initiatives executed by ER
demonstrate the broad consumer appeal of the reinvigorated Postman Pat(R) brand
which is firmly established as a leading pre-school brand with UK retailers and
consumers alike.
Little Red TractorTM continues to capitalise on its strong publishing base with
over 250,000 books sold to-date through ER's publishing partner, Ladybird. ER
has appointed leading European licensing agency, Copyright Promotions in
Germany, Switzerland and Austria and a deal has already been concluded with
market leader United Labels for a range of Little Red TractorTM apparel and
giftware. Germany is the world's third largest economy and licensed merchandise
sales in the German speaking region are worth 2.6 billion annually. Product
will roll-out in the region following the October television launch of Little
Red TractorTM on leading children's channel, Kika.
The TweeniesTM continues to be a force in the children's arena with over 2
million viewers tuning into the television series every week on BBC One and
CBeebies. Produced by ER's Tell-Tale Productions for the BBC, the 2005 live
arena tour entitled 'No Sleep 'Til Bedtime' played to a total audience of
125,000. New TweeniesTM product is performing strongly at retail with further
toy lines being released in the lead up to Christmas 2005.
Camberwick Green's Windy Miller is currently starring in a major national
television and print advertising campaign for PepsiCo's Quaker oats. As a result
of ER's success in exploiting Trumptonshire, ER's agreement to represent this
third party brand has been extended for a further five years.
Christmas 2005 will see Postman Pat(R), Jess the CatTM, The TweeniesTM and Boo!
TM appearing alongside other CBeebies characters when they star in CBeebies
Live! This Tell-Tale production for the BBC will be a major live arena tour
visiting 7 key UK cities between December 2005 and January 2006.
Home Entertainment
ER's revenue from home entertainment increased by 15% in the first six months of
2005. This was achieved against a backdrop of a challenging retail environment
in the UK. In conjunction with Postman Pat(R)'s support of Jeans for Genes, a
brand new Postman Pat(R) DVD/VHS title is released today. This partnership with
Jeans for Genes has provided new opportunities for the brand including key
retailer Matalan selling Postman Pat(R) DVDs for the first time.
Right Entertainment has long term distribution rights to Mattel's Barbie film
franchise which currently comprises 6 titles. BarbieTM FairytopiaTM was released
in March 2005 and a brand new title, BarbieTM and the Magic of Pegasus, will be
released in October. Combined Barbie(R) UK and international DVD and VHS sales
through Right Entertainment have exceeded 10.6 million units to-date across five
titles.
Demand for the Filmation library of classic contemporary characters continues
and DVD partners have been secured for Fat AlbertTM and He-Man and the Masters
of the UniverseTM in the US and Australia. Fat AlbertTM DVDs were released in
the US to coincide with the major motion picture release by Twentieth Century
Fox of the Fat AlbertTM movie in December 2004. ER has appointed Megaliner as
its video partner in Russia for He-Man and the Masters of the UniverseTM and RBA
as its video partner for the brand in Spain. ER has also appointed Allright as
its video partner for the ZorroTM brand in France.
Recognising the underlying value of ER's music catalogue, BMG Music Publishing,
the world's largest music publisher, has secured the global music publishing
rights to ER's music catalogue. In a separate deal Sony BMG recently released a
children's CD and DVD compilation album entitled 'Playtime!' featuring ER
characters Postman Pat(R), Basil Brush(R) and Little Red TractorTM. This unique
offering reflects the strength of these brands across all aspects of home
entertainment.
New Media
The advent of global digitisation is an exciting opportunity for ER. The Group's
programming, characters and brands represent ideal content for the fast moving
digital market, transcending traditional distribution channels.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe(R) is the first ever classic animated
series to be released on PlayStation Portable's ('PSP') Universal Media Disc
('UMD') in the US following the recent agreement with BCI Navarre. PSP was
launched in the US in March 2005 and although a relatively new medium, 5.7
million PSP consoles have already been shipped worldwide with the US taking
delivery of 2.7 million consoles and 3.3 million UMD units to-date.
ER has recently concluded a deal with leading US multimedia content supplier
American Greetings Interactive for Fat Albert mobile and Instant Messaging
content. The agreement will see Fat Albert ringtones, wallpaper, and
animated IM content available in the US market from Autumn 2005.
Postman Pat(R) and Little Red TractorTM games and software are currently in
development following ER's agreement with Bright Things for their pre-school
games console. In addition, Basil Brush(R)'s brand new computer game from Fifth
Dimension will be launched in the UK in Spring 2006.
ER is taking full advantage of the digital landscape and we continue to explore
and exploit opportunities for our highly relevant brands in this rapidly
expanding market by leveraging our valuable content across a multitude of media
platforms.
Outlook
The progress of the Group in the first six months of the year has been
significant and builds on the strategic positioning of ER following the
acquisitions of the Filmation library and Tell-Tale Productions in 2004. The
securing of key broadcast platforms for Postman Pat(R) in both the US and Japan
represents a significant achievement for the Company as we continue to expand
our portfolio of characters and brands internationally.
Our focus is to continue to build the global presence of all of our brands and
to maximise exploitation opportunities for our significant library across all
media, existing and new. Content is, and will continue to be, the core to the
success of the ever increasing number of global entertainment platforms and in
this dynamic digital media environment, ER is ideally positioned as a key
content owner and supplier.
We have enjoyed a strong first half and current trading continues in line with
market expectations. ER remains focused on delivering long term value for its
shareholders.
In conclusion, I would like to recognise the diligence, hard work and enthusiasm
of all our staff in delivering another strong set of results.

The three titles will be released in the UK on DVD and video throughout 2006
through ER's home entertainment label, Right Entertainment. ER has also secured
certain international television rights (excluding USA) to the films.
This agreement follows ER's success as the distributor of Mattel's previous
Barbie(R) films, including Barbie(TM) in the Nutcracker, Barbie(TM) as Rapunzel,
Barbie(TM) of Swan Lake, Barbie(TM) as the Princess and the Pauper and
Barbie(TM) FairytopiaTM. Home entertainment sales through Right Entertainment

ITV COMMISSIONS NEW FLAGSHIP PRE-SCHOOL PROGRAMME FROM ENTERTAINMENT RIGHTS
Entertainment Rights Plc ('ER'), one of the UK's leading independent media
groups specialising in children's and family programming, characters and brands,
today announces that leading UK broadcaster, ITV has secured the UK broadcast
rights to ER's brand new television series Jim Jam & Sunny. ITV has commissioned
ER to produce 260 x 11 minute episodes to appear both on ITV1 and its new
dedicated children's digital channel, CiTV. ER owns all rights worldwide in
perpetuity to the Jim Jam & Sunny brand.
This agreement represents a significant programming commitment from ITV which is
positioning Jim Jam & Sunny as the flagship live-action children's show on ITV1
and the CiTV channel. Terrestrial broadcast on ITV1 is due to commence from
Autumn 2006 and Jim Jam & Sunny will also be rolled-out on the new CiTV channel
where it will air daily. CiTV can be accessed by over 6 million viewers on
Freeview, where it will be the only free-to-air commercial channel, as well as
on all the main digital television platforms in the UK - Sky, Telewest and NTL
Cable. This multi broadcast platform gives Jim Jam & Sunny maximum audience
exposure.
Jim Jam & Sunny will be produced by ER's wholly owned subsidiary, Tell-Tale
Productions ('Tell-Tale'). Acquired by ER in September 2004, Tell-Tale has an
enviable track record in producing internationally successful children's
programming. Tell-Tale produced the biggest ever pre-school commission with the
phenomenally successful Tweenies. Jim Jam & Sunny's live action format will
utilise this production expertise and will feature an ambitious life-sized set
with specialised animatronics and digital technology creating an innovative and
groundbreaking look. Each episode consists of a collection of interactive
stories, activities, songs, animated segments and games that can be tailored for
specific audiences, time slots and media platforms creating maximum exploitation
adaptability in the new digital media world.
Jim Jam & Sunny will commence production in early 2006 and ER will launch a full
consumer products campaign, online campaign and DVD release programme for the
brand based on this key broadcast platform. Jim Jam & Sunny will launch
internationally at international television market MIP TV in April 2006.
Mike Heap, CEO of Entertainment Rights said:
'Jim Jam & Sunny is one of the first new shows to be commissioned by ITV for
both CiTV and ITV1. We are delighted to be partnering with ITV following their
increased commitment to children's programming and the exciting launch of their
stand alone, dedicated children's digital channel, CiTV. Jim Jam & Sunny is a
multidimensional brand with application across a whole range of global
multimedia platforms beyond television which include interactive, music
downloads and games, live events and hand held devices. We have no doubt that
this ground-breaking pre-school show will engage generations of children around
the world.'

I'm here, Driver, I'm here!!!
Other than my hols I have actually been watching this one (I also watch Postman Pat and am a member of the Jess fan club).
I was a little sceptical at first of this one but my interest has been renewed since getting back. Looking at the trend, I think this is one where I will try to get in soon on any sign of weakness in the sp, and I regret not having got in earlier when you drew my attention to it!! ERT have apparantly now done the one thing that can make mega bucks in this field, and got a merchandisible series in Jim Jam & Sunny. Something I was never convinced Postman Pat could be.
A good tip, an entertaining thread, and a gentleman of a host. What else could I desire!!

Postman Pat to deliver in Japan Jul 6 2005
Daily Post
POSTMAN Pat was yesterday set to embark on one of his biggest delivery rounds yet after his owner announced plans to send him to Japan.
Entertainment Rights said it had signed a deal with Buena Vista International to air shows featuring Pat and the rest of Greendale's residents on the Disney Channel in Japan.
The news comes less than a month after a similar agreement was clinched in the United States and sent shares in Entertainment Rights 5% higher.
Yesterday's deal gives Postman Pat access to the world's second largest toy market and includes 80
15-minute episodes as well as four special programmes for cable and satellite.
The Japanese toy market is worth around 5.5bn a year, behind that of the US which is estimated at 18.8bn.
Postman Pat is now watched by around a million viewers every day across the world.

Rupert(R) and Friends. Five has commissioned ER to produce 52 x 10 minute

This agreement follows ER's acquisition of the controlling rights to Rupert Bear
(R) from Express Newspapers ('Express') in October 2005. Under the terms of the
agreement, ER acquired worldwide in perpetuity all audio visual, licensing and

Rupert(R) and Friends introduces pre-schoolers to a world of fun, excitement,
magic and adventure as the cast of characters experience the wonderful world of
Nutwood. The much loved and instantly recognisable Rupert(R), Bill Badger,

including Ping Pong, Ming and Miranda the Mermaid who explore Nutwood and other
fantastical locations in their adventures together.
The Rupert Bear(R) brand lends itself to a whole range of new media and online
opportunities including interactive, music downloads, games and hand held
devices. ER will be implementing a full consumer products campaign, online
campaign and DVD release programme for Rupert Bear(R) with product rolling out
from 2007. The Rupert(R) and Friends animated series will be launched globally
by ER at international television market MIPCOM in October 2006.

ENTERTAINMENT RIGHTS SECURES ADDITIONAL
BBC COMMISSION FOR BASIL BRUSH(R)
Entertainment Rights Plc ("ER"), one of the UK's leading independent media
groups specialising in children's and family programming, characters and brands,
today announces that leading UK broadcaster, the BBC has commissioned a further
13 x 30 minute episodes of The Basil Brush ShowTM for the BBC and the CBBC
channel. The agreement brings the total number of episodes of
The Basil Brush ShowTM under license to the BBC to 65.
This agreement represents a significant programming commitment from the BBC and
ensures a broadcast platform for The Basil Brush ShowTM beyond 2010. This
commission follows the huge success of The Basil Brush ShowTM which is the
Number 1 rated children's sitcom in the UK airing on BBC 1, BBC 2 and CBBC
digital. Basil Brush(R) is firmly established as a core BBC character and
regularly appears as a presenter across the BBC channels including presenting
CBBC Xtra (interactive) and appearing in live web chats for the CBBC website.
The Basil Brush(R) website www.basilbrush.com attracted circa 8 million hits in
the last month alone.
For the first time ever the new series will feature Basil Brush(R) in animated
form with each episode including up to 6 animated segments of Basil Brush(R) and
friends. These short animated segments will be exploited across a wide range of
new digital media and online platforms including interactive, downloads, games
and hand held devices. The new series of The Basil Brush ShowTM including these
animated segments will air on the BBC this Autumn and will be launched
internationally at global television market, MIPCOM, in October 2006.
Mike Heap, CEO, Entertainment Rights Plc commented:
"The inclusion of animated segments in The Basil Brush Show opens up new
opportunities for the Basil Brush brand. With these shorter segments of
programming we are well placed to exploit the increasing number of new digital
opportunities available to us in this changing media environment. This new
commission underlines the BBC's commitment to Basil Brush and we are delighted
to be continuing our partnership with them."

Good Morning All
Have a small holding in ERT, having bought at 25p, pleased the way it has progressed and think long term it is an excellent holding. Like the new brands that it has added and the way it has sold itself abroad. Feel there is a captive audience as there is always a ready stream on new children, my 6 year old was into Pat , my three year old is into Pat and my 1 year old will probably like Pat. So there are always new people to sell toys, videos etc to.
Think this is a well run company, that are always looking to sell the product into new markets and expand sensibly, which can only have a good effect on the bottom line.

Just read the article in Shares and it presents a very bullish picture of this company, with a target price raised to 47p. I would have thought with a hike in profits of 180% and exposure into Germany, giving them exposure in the 5 major makets (UK, US, GErmany,France & Japan) that this was slightly undervaluing this company.
With some good names in the stable and the recent new editions of Basil Brush commissioned by the BBC(with the potential of more as they have a contract with the BBC until 2010), plus the takeover potential make me a long term holder of this stock, with my gut feel for the price being closer to 55p.

From the Times Today
Owner of Postman Pat delivers 172% increase in profit
By Amanda Andrews
POSTMAN PAT helped to deliver record results for his owner Entertainment Rights (ER) yesterday.
ER, the intellectual property group that also owns the rights to Basil Brush and Little Red Tractor, said yesterday that pre-tax profits jumped 172 per cent to 6 million in 2005, and turnover increased 21 per cent to 30.7 million.
Mike Heap, the chief executive, said that Postman Pat had been an important factor behind the strong results. The character is seen in the five largest pre-school markets America, Japan, Britain, Germany and France and in more than 100 countries around the world.
However, ERs shares fell 1.25p to 37.25p, a move thought to be linked to a possible downgrade to earnings because of a higher tax charge.
The group also announced a deal with the United States Postal Service, where Postman Pat has been recruited to encourage children in Washington to write letters.
The success of the character also prompted an announcement that ER has been commissioned by the BBC to create a new series starring Pats cat, Jess, who will speak for the first time. Mr Heap said that he hoped to find the same success with Postman Pat as the group had with Rupert Bear, which ER acquired in October. An animated series is in production and is expected to air in autumn.
Mr Heap refused to rule out an approach for Chorion, the owner of Noddy, although he said that this was not on the agenda. Chorion is the subject of a management buyout led by its chairman, Lord Waheed Alli, and funded by 3i, the private equity firm.
ER said that it would not declare a dividend for the year.

From the Daily Mail today.
Basil Brush has entered the race to buy Noddy owner Chorion. Entertainment Rights is the third bidder in a widening field for the company, whose management led by chairman Lord Alli want to take it private for 111m, or 425p a share. Hit Entertainment, home to Bob the Builder, is also looking at the books.
A meeting this Friday to vote on the buyout has been cancelled. But Alli is still confident he can win the day because of a close relationship with the Agatha Christie estate, with whom Chorion develops key characters Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.

On the last two occasions when ERT considered making offers for Chorion in Nov 2002 and Dec 2003, Chorion refused to let ERT conduct due diligence and they proceeded no further. It will be interesting to see how Chorion responds this time.

Think the Chorion situation is holding this share back. As stated this will all come to a head on Thursday. Think this share is undervalued and still has great prospects.
Don't think Chorion deal would be bad news, they have a strong stable of products and would certainly enhance ERT stable and global profile.

Sorry I am out of these as perversely stated Im just keeping the thread going, here are a couple of pros and con posts from another board on todays results.
Funnily enough, I agree in that ER does have the goods - but clearly not the management to deliver them. Surely that Saga-lout Heap, with his outrageous bonuses must go? Him and that Bunbury of a non-existant Chairman Bransgrove. Let the younger blood rise and this company could have excellent long-term prospects. But right now, these results reflect the fact that Heap is seriously past his sell-by date and should be replaced.
It's a shame that they've tried to bump up these results with news of what seems to be a very good distribution deal. Time for a change of PR too.
If ever a company was ripe for takeover, this is it. But can we trust Heap not to screw up? No, because he knows the first thing to go under a new regime will be him. The institutions should be baying for his blood right now. The ordinary shareholders certainly are.
I tend to disagree with the results being poor, YES if you are after a quick buck on the gamble of the results.
"Whilst ER's financial performance has historically been weighted to the second half, this will be more evident in
2006. The Board remains confident that ER is on course to meet market
expectations for the full year."
You have got to remember that they are now reporting figures as and when they get paid, this was not the case last year so it does look somewhat reduced.
I am still suspicious of the 20million buy/sell recently if they were sells then surely the price would have tanked further, if they were buys then I think could be some stake building.

Entertainment Rights widened its first half pretax loss saying the strength of the sterling against the US dollar impacted the first half, but added it is on course to meet its full year expectations. The company recorded a pretax loss of 7.26 mln stg for the period to June 30, 2007, from a loss of 3.45 mln stg a year earlier.
Revenue almost trebled to 17.3 mln stg from 5.9 mln stg, impacted positively by the acquisition of Classic Media in January this year. Chairman Rod Bransgrove said the company's financial performance is traditionally weighted towards the second half. He added that the company is well positioned to strengthen its presence in the US.

Could Postman Pat be about to leave Greendale for delivery to a new owner?
Fat cats want Postman Pat, or so the Telegraph suggests:-

I'm not surprised there's some bid interest here. The company owns some major children's brands and at these sub-10p prices they're a steal.

Unfortunately can't answer that one queen1 but with the possiblity of a bid the share price is going to be very volatile until something definite happens. Perhaps, during the dips you should average down..... but the sp can go either way so you've got to have nerves of steel ;0).

Well, right now the sp is 2p and debt at 127m - many times the Mkt Cap. Oh deary, this must be a great concern.
Two years ago this was 35p, so this represents a woeful loss of standing.
Aargh! - - - - - - - (no I don't hold, sold-out years ago).
EDIT (17Dec08)- 5m Sells -90kBuys and the sp is up 500%
+ The RNS of 8Dec (appointment of CEO) shows she own NO shares - Yet Options on 5m shares! (but I don't think she has sold any, they need to be "exrcised", first)...DYOR.
