Oilexco Stands Out As Cheap Stock KBC PeelHunt (OIL)

brianboru - 09 Aug 2005 21:51

We all need a couple of oilies in our portfolio - this one's not without it's risks but still plenty potential upside.

http://www.kbcpeelhunt.com/pdfs/mmeetings/NEOilGas9Aug05.pdf

Oilexco (BUY) looks a stand-out cheap stock. This is partly a reflection of its high asset concentration, with effectively all the value in the UK North Sea Brenda field. While it is not without risk in terms of reservoir performance, the field has been thoroughly appraised and with the key contracts having been signed, delivery of first oil mid-2006 looks fairly secure. Forthcoming exploration and appraisal drilling on 3-4 other North Sea prospects and fields provide a few shots at significant value upside as well.

KEAYDIAN - 22 Jun 2006 20:19 - 2 of 91

Oilexco Incorporated said it has completed on schedule, and on budget, the initial drilling and completion phase on its 100 pct owned Brenda Field (Block 15/25b) development located in the UK Central North Sea.

'The completion flow tests for the three wells exceeded our expectations. Their sand-face productivity indexes and normalized flow calculations suggest a possible combined production rate of 44,000 barrels of oil per day, though we will restrict their flow once in production to adhere to good reservoir management practices,' said Oilexco president and CEO Arthur Millholland.

He said the Oilexco team continues to work diligently to ensure ensuing project targets are achieved on schedule, and on budget, with first oil continuing to be targeted early in the fourth quarter.

Brenda/Nicol development due to start producing anyday now. After drifting SP
slowly making some headway.

niceonecyril - 25 Jan 2007 18:38 - 4 of 91

UP 21p today could be news?

cyril

niceonecyril - 02 Feb 2007 10:29 - 5 of 91

I;m convinced we will have news about Brenda/Nicol oilflows next week.

alanatml2 - 08 Feb 2007 18:14 - 6 of 91

The Brenda field production startup is weather dependent for the completion of topside work. Sleet and squalls have had some adverse effect but next week there should be an announcment. Any drop in SP IMHO is a buy.

niceonecyril - 09 Feb 2007 10:05 - 7 of 91

Thanks Alan, it appears we are as you say, awaiting on the weather. It appears
that all remaining work is down to the hands of the Balmoral Floater, connections
and a data cable to be fitted?
cyril

niceonecyril - 19 Feb 2007 22:51 - 8 of 91

Oilexco are reporting news of significant oil bearing sands in its Kildare Well, test
results expected 3/4 weeks.
cyril

alanatml2 - 07 Mar 2007 23:38 - 9 of 91

A Brenda announcement now would be politically significant for 'smaller' N.Sea exploration companies and just in time for +$60 pb cash flow.

niceonecyril - 27 Mar 2007 15:54 - 10 of 91

Alan with yesterdays RNS confirming that subject to good weather we will be producing before the end of April,30000bopd to starting in time to above 50000bopd. I think we will see an upgrading of the SP. We also have Kildare discovery, lots of other potential, Ptarmigan appraisal well being most promising, but to me Laural Valley has outstanding potental and if successful would see OIL ratings rocket.
I'm very comfortable with this share.

Around 3 weeks for production from(probably2) Brenda/Nicol project and result of the well presently being drilled in the Laural Valley prospect(spudded on the
28th March and about 30 days to complete).
So an exciting April for OIL, if L/Valley comes up trumps we will have lift off?
cyril

niceonecyril - 04 Apr 2007 13:16 - 14 of 91

From another board, Pat Boswell of International Frontiers a partner with OIL in the drilling of Laural Valley, who discribed North Seas Laural Valley as "Exploration of the Year".
"Drilling is going so well that they could be running logs by the end of next week"?
With Brenda due, could be quite a month?
cyril

niceonecyril - 24 Apr 2007 19:24 - 15 of 91

OIL are due to produce any day now, seems that the rig is swarming with
nut tighteners and inspectors. Some oil has already flowed need to satisfy Goverment Inspectors for production licence, should be by end of month?
cyril

alanatml2 - 25 Apr 2007 18:03 - 16 of 91

lOOKING VERY GOOD. SP jumps 6.5% to 388/391p on large buys today. Announcements must be due shortly. Shareholders have a lot to look forward to in 2007 as OILEXCO joins the North Sea Producers.

alanatml2 - 30 Apr 2007 21:37 - 19 of 91

I hold OIL but I was basing my investment on a 2004 financial report which targets 440p for 5 wells. The recent webpage sets out details for 9 high production wells and proven assets. Looks like I will double up before Brenda comes in!

niceonecyril - 06 May 2007 11:11 - 20 of 91

alanatm2, OIL's biggest drawback has been time delay in bring Brenda/Nicol
to production, apart from lost output it has also been very expensive for the
company. This seems as this will alter next week and possibly Tuesday?
The following info should explain.
President and CEO Artur Millholland is due to give an interview with BNN
at 3-10pm on Monday, would suggest oil is flowing?

niceonecyril - 26 May 2007 04:30 - 24 of 91

Reports from Canada indicate first oil production will be reported on Monday, with flow rates confirmed after one month.
Unlucky, just read an article which states once its broken out of $10 Can,
Funds will be looking for $14. Closed at $10.86/10.67, which works out at 5-06p.
Lots of news to follow, but like all investments nothings certain.

it came before production rates from the Brenda well, which at this moment is
producing and being fine tuned for best flow rates. So 30,000bopd to come

good news (huntington is rumoured to be the biggest find in over 5 years from the
N/Sea),production from Brenda/Nicol fields,Ptarmigan to come and of course a move to the main market later this month. Yes their will be dips in the SP from time to time(profit taking) but nothing to dramatic imho, which leaves me feeling very
comfortable holding long term.

unluckyboy, patience is the name of the game.Profit takers last week brought the SP down some, but thats the stockmarket nothing goes up all the time, makes for
a health market. News will come in the not to distant future of Ptarmigan, which
as we know is a appraisal well before revisiting discovery Shelley for delineation. And then back to our biggy Huntington and whoosh.

DEADLINE SET FOR OILEXCO SOLUTION

North sea oil company Oilexco announced on Wednesday that its banking syndicate and the Royal Bank of Scotland had agreed to provide up to 47.5 million dollars until January 31 to meet its financing needs, in return for cash fees of up to 37.5 million dollars and an equity fee that could amount to a 24.9 per cent stake in the company if it succeeds in brokering a deal that returns any money to shareholders. Oilexco shares have lost 93 per cent of their value in the past six months and fell to 59 pence on Thursday. The announcement follows Oilexco's decision to abandon plans to raise up to 186 million dollars in bonds and shares.
