Bobcolby - 28 Sep 2005 10:09 - 32 of 334

Hi choccie

Sounds more like MG than a brollie :-). Does this mean you are not coming this year?
We will miss you and Bullie will be devastated. Greystone is buying drinks for everybody.

Bob

Bones - 30 Sep 2005 19:35 - 37 of 334

C'mon Bullie, you can manage a bar of Cadbury's Fruit & Nut for Amber :)

amberjane - 30 Sep 2005 23:29 - 38 of 334

Would that be for the starters or for after the afters?

HelenW - 01 Oct 2005 11:11 - 39 of 334

Bones - 01 Oct 2005 21:20 - 41 of 334

Amber, I hadn't got as far as thinking what comes after the afters......

......maybe a "waffer theen meent, Mr Creosote?" :)

Big Al - 01 Oct 2005 22:33 - 42 of 334

Amber - apparently you and Bones are already assigned to the same table as me. ;-)))

What is it with you wimmin and chocolate? ;-)

amberjane - 01 Oct 2005 23:30 - 43 of 334

IanT(MoneyAM) - 03 Oct 2005 07:42 - 50 of 334

Ian

Big Al - 03 Oct 2005 08:41 - 51 of 334

Bones - 11 Oct 2005 08:50 - 62 of 334

Big Al - 11 Oct 2005 16:30 - 63 of 334

IanT - don't bother phoning me for a couplr of weeks as I'm away @ work and won't be available until the 27th Oct (to tell you who's paying for me!). LOL

Bones - 11 Oct 2005 17:10 - 64 of 334

Bones - 12 Oct 2005 12:59 - 69 of 334

Bullie :)

Bullshare - 12 Oct 2005 15:41 - 70 of 334

Ruth; No, Bones is paying for you, but I have warned him you do not know how to hold a knife and fork as all your meals are normally in a newspaper from the chippy:-)

Bones - 12 Oct 2005 16:19 - 71 of 334

So, I need to bring a fiver for cod and chips, and a copy of the Sun?

Ruth - 12 Oct 2005 16:43 - 72 of 334

lol:-)

Big Al - 13 Oct 2005 01:47 - 73 of 334

Bones, the cod and chips should be wrapped in the copy of the sun liberally covered in mushy peas with lashings (!) of salt and vinegar. ;-))

..................on second thoughts, I'll have that as my main course. LOL!

Bones - 13 Oct 2005 08:24 - 74 of 334

Al :)

The red wine should go down well with all that grease.........just make sure there's a clear path to the conveniences!

Sonofagun - 13 Oct 2005 22:56 - 75 of 334

And as Fletch would have said "Get me a copy of the Sun" Godber
And whilst you're there, get me something to read as well:)

Bones - 14 Oct 2005 00:02 - 76 of 334

Sonofagun - what a genius that man was (Ronnie Barker that is)!

ThePlayboy - 21 Oct 2005 12:21 - 77 of 334

bigAL they still have,nt put your werthers down on the list, thought you should know!

Big Al - 22 Oct 2005 03:50 - 78 of 334

Thanks TP, now feck orf! ROFLMAO!

Why aren't you coming anyway? Chicken?

ThePlayboy - 22 Oct 2005 08:27 - 79 of 334

Because thats not on the menu Big man:) (well not the version i prefer)

besides i only have coco pops for starters!

Andy - 23 Oct 2005 23:07 - 80 of 334

Is there anyone coming from Shares Mag this year?

A couple of the journos would make a nice change IMO.

Big Al - 24 Oct 2005 07:47 - 81 of 334

You're as bad as Choccy, TP! ;-))

chocolat - 25 Oct 2005 21:48 - 82 of 334

Peebee, I'm surprised at you turning down chicken with ladies' fingers - and that's only for lunch.

Bones - 26 Oct 2005 00:30 - 83 of 334

This looks like being a cosy gathering around two tables so far :)

Big Al - 26 Oct 2005 00:31 - 84 of 334

You still up?

;-))

chocolat - 26 Oct 2005 00:33 - 85 of 334

I'd just like to know which half of the bottle I get.

Big Al - 26 Oct 2005 00:40 - 86 of 334

The upper half when it's been half drunk?

;-)

ThePlayboy - 26 Oct 2005 17:09 - 87 of 334

bones i think most are staying away as BigAl is going, also Rendang Daging with a Cheese Selection , barbarians:)

chocs more a breakfast man as you know:)

Bones - 26 Oct 2005 18:09 - 88 of 334

TP - LOL. Barbarians indeed.

Chocs.....man?? I think not (just let me know when to duck) :)

Gausie - 02 Nov 2005 08:40 - 89 of 334

If numbers stay this thin, how about a move to the mole & chick?

chocolat - 02 Nov 2005 08:45 - 90 of 334

That anywhere near Mornington Crescent?

chocolat - 02 Nov 2005 09:35 - 91 of 334

Cor - just think what you can do with a chocolate fountain.

http://www.chocolaterush.co.uk/

Can we have one please Ian?

ThePlayboy - 02 Nov 2005 20:19 - 92 of 334

or McDonalds!

Bullshare - 03 Nov 2005 07:00 - 93 of 334

Gausie: Suit me very well as it 3 mins from home:-)

Big Al - 03 Nov 2005 18:11 - 94 of 334

It's certainly going to be cozy! ;-))

ThePlayboy - 03 Nov 2005 18:50 - 95 of 334

one werther each bigAl if using a standard tube not a packet of course, 4 each at least then imho

schiff - 04 Nov 2005 18:27 - 96 of 334

Is there any minimum standard of dress ie a suit? I could be in London on a visit but don't fancy packing a tux (which I haven't got anyway) or even a suit. Is reasonable casual OK? Don't want to let the side down!

Ruth - 04 Nov 2005 21:59 - 97 of 334

Schiff, i will be casual, and the scouser with me will probably be in a shell suit, :-)

chocolat - 04 Nov 2005 22:06 - 98 of 334

And BigA in a skirt - what's the problem?

Big Al - 04 Nov 2005 22:52 - 99 of 334

schiff - I wore my best Levis 2 years ago and intend pushing the boat out similarly this year. After the first Singapore Sling nobody will give a toss anyway....................especially not those NW lot. ;-))

This, of course, assumes Choccy wears her own skirt and doesn't force me into it. Even if she does, then I've got the size 9 stillettos already polished and a fresh set of fishnets on the head under the baseball cap, which is some kind of check colour. They told me BRBY at the stall. LOL

chocolat - 04 Nov 2005 22:59 - 100 of 334

D'you think there'll be room for two BigA?

Big Al - 04 Nov 2005 23:02 - 101 of 334

We could try!

;-)

Bones - 04 Nov 2005 23:50 - 102 of 334

I remember you now Choc! Don't remember such a long skirt though :)

chocolat - 05 Nov 2005 10:41 - 103 of 334

Ha Bonesie - and I remember you were down the naughty end of our table ;)

chocolat - 05 Nov 2005 10:46 - 104 of 334

Ok Ian - 4,6 and 11
with triple cream please

Gausie - 06 Nov 2005 12:14 - 105 of 334

Schiff - I shall be gatting my PDX t-shirt dry cleaned specially.

Bullshare - 09 Nov 2005 15:12 - 106 of 334

Ian; Spoke to Martini and he would like to add his name to the list. His menu choice will follow

Kayak - 12 Nov 2005 01:01 - 107 of 334

Put me down too please Ian.

2, 5, 10 thanks.

Spaceman - 12 Nov 2005 20:41 - 108 of 334

Any idea when the latest for confirming attendance at this do is? I would like to come along but at the moment I don't know if I will be around.

Big Al - 13 Nov 2005 03:20 - 109 of 334

5 minutes before we eat? ;-)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 14 Nov 2005 08:23 - 110 of 334

Kayak,

I will add you to the list today

Spaceman - I need to know final numbers 7 days before, so if you could give me a shout by then that would be great,

Cheers

Ian

Big Al - 14 Nov 2005 22:14 - 111 of 334

Yeah, come on, Spacie, make your bloody mind up, eh?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 15 Nov 2005 11:14 - 112 of 334

Hello,

I have sent some of you an E mail to ask for your telephone numbers, as I am going to be ringing you before the end of the week to get the 33 payment. If I have mailed you could you just send back the best number to get hold of you on and I will give you a call.

Should be a good do this year - restaurant is really nice and food excellent, plus good value at 33 for 3 courses, tip, wine and Singapore sling (whatever one of those is :)

Ian

Bones - 15 Nov 2005 16:54 - 113 of 334

A Singapore Sling is the action executed by the head chef to eject drunken revellers. One each should be enough, but maybe not for Amber :)

ThePlayboy - 15 Nov 2005 17:55 - 114 of 334

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE ADD BIGALS WERTHERS TO THE LIST, I THANK YOU!

mg - 15 Nov 2005 18:37 - 115 of 334

Playtex
C'mon - you know you want to come - get yer bloody name down. Just think of the craic. And you might be able to sell someone one of your dodgy motors :)

mg (FOREX Commando - who needs thongs !!!!)

ThePlayboy - 15 Nov 2005 18:42 - 116 of 334

Mg after the lack of volatility in the market this yr? i dont sell mondeos:)

chocolat - 15 Nov 2005 19:48 - 117 of 334

It's ok Peebee - mg's hanging onto his a little bit longer.

It's a traction thingie between him and maggie b ;)

mg - 15 Nov 2005 21:39 - 118 of 334

Oh dear - here I am telling Playtex that he should be coming to the Xmas bash and I'm under intense pressure to attend day-jobbie - and I'm talking big-jobbie - things on the number 2 of December.

Will let you know tomorrow - lots of twisting and turning - but, if it were a cable position I don't think I'd be going long :((((((

Sorry guys - but I'll let you know by end of play tomorrow/early Thursday.

Big Al - 15 Nov 2005 21:57 - 119 of 334

Oi, Plaything, bog orf! ;-)

Big Al - 16 Nov 2005 02:53 - 120 of 334

IanT

Ruth - 17 Nov 2005 15:27 - 130 of 334

Copied from www.drinkboy.com:

Singapore Sling:
DrinkBoy says: I highly recommend this cocktail for anybody looking for a nice cool drink on a hot tropical day.

Should go down well on a freezing cold December day in Old London Town :)

Big Al - 17 Nov 2005 22:22 - 136 of 334

Di

You've got a bit to learn about posting on BB's? - especially with this lot. I was wondering why the volume of posts on this thread suddenly increased ten-fold. Should've known it would be sexual.

LOL!

OK, who wants a Slow Comfortable.............................? ;-0

Dynamite - 18 Nov 2005 08:05 - 137 of 334

Well I think it is Ruth you should all be buying the cocktails for. She has done so well this year; she should be proud of herself and I am sure she will be happy to take up all your offers :-) Well done Ruth

Ruth - 18 Nov 2005 09:55 - 138 of 334

Dynamite, thanks, but i will end up with a bit head if you carry on, :-)
ok seeing as youve been so nice to me if its a screaming orgasm you really want, i will see what i can do:-)

ps i dont drink much, the reason being if you think im a raving luntac when sober, you want to see me when im pi**ed up,

Dynamite - 18 Nov 2005 10:19 - 139 of 334

Hmm well yes Ruth you are certainly a character, a ndrunk Ruth probably would be good entertainment...A bit worried about you giving me a MSO though :-0

Ruth - 18 Nov 2005 10:51 - 140 of 334

Dynamite , :-) i meant buying you one, not physically getting down to it:-)
just thought ide leave it open so the boys could read into it two ways:-)and obviously they would come up with the more sexual one of the two:-)

Anyway, looking forward to getting together with you southerners again,
should be a good laugh,
Bully are you rushing off home afterwards like a good little boy, or staying on late for the drunken antics to start,
i remember Big Al, the last time we went to xmas do, i was amazed he even remembered the name of his hotel, never mind finding his way back there:-)

Do you remember Big Al , i recall you chatting up a pretty red head , that in itself is understandable, but the fact her boyfriend was sat with her was a bit forward:-)

Dynamite - 18 Nov 2005 10:58 - 141 of 334

Don't worry Ruth I was only joking....I remember it was Choccy who had all the fun last year with everyone camped in her bath!!! :-)

chocolat - 18 Nov 2005 11:02 - 142 of 334

No, no - that was Ruthie in April.
Me - I was camped at New Street station. Oh boy, did I have fun :S

Ruth - 18 Nov 2005 11:23 - 143 of 334

Dynamite, i wasnt worried, you know my daft sense of humour,:-)
ide try anything once , twice if i liked it,ask Choccie:-)apart from freezing to death on a train station platform:-)

Bones - 18 Nov 2005 11:38 - 144 of 334

Ruth, after the boyfriend had pulled Big Al's kilt up over his head and tied a knot in it (the kilt), it is certainly a surprise he found his way back to the hotel :)

jj50 - 18 Nov 2005 11:41 - 145 of 334

... and I was wondering whether to sign up!!!!!!!!!

Ruth - 18 Nov 2005 11:58 - 146 of 334

JJ, you can have a screaming orgasm too, i will buy you both one:-)
after missing you at Manchester, ide love to meet up and have a good chin wag:-)

Bones:-)

chocolat - 18 Nov 2005 12:01 - 147 of 334

Come on, jj - you know you want to.
This is fast turning into a girlie do anyway - and you know what that means ;)

Bullshare - 18 Nov 2005 12:05 - 148 of 334

Yes choccie it means that I might have another appointment else where on the day. I know when I am beat! :-)

chocolat - 18 Nov 2005 12:13 - 149 of 334

Best not tell him Steph's coming, Ruthie :)

Gausie - 18 Nov 2005 12:17 - 150 of 334

I shall be turning up in drag.

Again.

Dynamite - 18 Nov 2005 12:25 - 151 of 334

At least us girls know how to enjoy ourselves...this sounds we are going to have Screaming Orgasms all around. Bully have you warned the restuarant...its no good if they cannot oblige :-)

Bullshare - 18 Nov 2005 13:06 - 152 of 334

I am off to Burger King, you lot can sort out your own SO's:-)

amberjane - 18 Nov 2005 13:35 - 153 of 334

I see things are getting underway :>)

Al, I'll have the slow multiple without the scream as it's only single!

....and I saw that Bones :>))

Ruth - 18 Nov 2005 13:41 - 154 of 334

Amber:-)maybe we should have 2 tables, a girlie one and a bloke one, and one in the middle for gausie in his drag?:-)

rayrac - 18 Nov 2005 14:05 - 155 of 334

I can make it, bit out of touch but what the heck. I've been in the sea with strangers!

3, 8 and 10 I think, please.

jj50 - 18 Nov 2005 14:12 - 156 of 334

Ruth/choccie - I would love to be there and I am even in the "sarf" but have to drive back that night. pick up son and belongings from Uni and be back in Scotland on Sat for a wedding - do you think I have the stamina?!!! :-)

STORMCALLER - 18 Nov 2005 15:00 - 157 of 334

jj50,

From past references, sounds like just a walk in the park for you..:-))

chocolat - 18 Nov 2005 15:14 - 158 of 334

The real question, jj, is does your son have the stamina?

Ruth - 18 Nov 2005 15:23 - 159 of 334

JJ,of course you do, :-)

Big Al - 18 Nov 2005 16:36 - 160 of 334

23 posts since I last looked in. And our specialist subject is............................? ;-)

Ruth - was mg's fault last time. He bought the wine by the bottle instead of the glass. LOL

Amber - hope you're bringing a bunny. :-0

......and jj - get your finger out!

amberjane - 19 Nov 2005 00:38 - 161 of 334

Al, you know what bunnies are like and I wouldnt want them to steal the girls thunder so I'll best leave them (all 38!) at home, but I could wear a bunny tail, howz that?

Ruth, which table would Bullie be on? :>)

JJ, come on girl dont make excuses, would love to see you

Dil - 19 Nov 2005 01:54 - 162 of 334

Mike .... be afraid , be very afrad .... I know the chef.

Ruth - 19 Nov 2005 08:55 - 163 of 334

Amberjane:-)i reckon he should definately be on the girlie table,
well we do need someone to take the piss out of dont we:-)

mg - 19 Nov 2005 08:59 - 164 of 334

Oi - Whopping Al - don't blame me - it was you who fitted the intravenous injection - and anyway - I thought wine only came in bottles !!!!

amberjane - 19 Nov 2005 11:52 - 165 of 334

wont be hard Ruth and I think he needs it :>)

Dil, I'm not sure it's the chef he needs to be afraid of!

chocolat - 19 Nov 2005 12:04 - 166 of 334

Big Al - 19 Nov 2005 22:03 - 169 of 334

Hmmm. Amber in a bunny outfit, eh? ;-))

mg - it does come in bottles and it's very rude not to finish it when someone's taken the time and trouble to pull the cork!! ;-0 That stuff's OK too, Choccy - it doesn't half give the throat a rasp next day, though. LOL

Big Al - 19 Nov 2005 22:07 - 170 of 334

Amber - why is Kevin not on the list, anyway?

amberjane - 19 Nov 2005 23:01 - 171 of 334

Well well well Al, so you want some more competition!! Thought it was more women we needed...........now let me see....

Kevin, yes, last seen totally intoxicated (well nearly :>)) in a cab, think that was Bullies fault as well but i bet he'll blame those guys from the LSE :>)))

I'll ask him for you, is it a date just so's i get the wording right?

Big Al - 20 Nov 2005 01:00 - 172 of 334

Word it how you want, but get your fluffy bits moving as there's only a couple of weeks left!! ROFLMAO!

.................and tell him that's no state to be in when you meet other traders! ;-))

Don't think it's more women we need. I've met some of those going and there's plenty enough bloody trouble turning up as it is. ;-0

chocolat - 20 Nov 2005 01:20 - 173 of 334

Brace yourself then, BigA ;)

Big Al - 20 Nov 2005 04:40 - 174 of 334

See, there's another one!!

;-)))))

Why you having a bald cop as a starter anyway, Choccy? ;-0

Bullshare - 20 Nov 2005 08:33 - 175 of 334

Amber: Don't blame me, you two started drinking at lunchtime:-)

chocolat - 20 Nov 2005 16:59 - 176 of 334

And don't forget Bullie's looking for a Big Whopper.

amberjane - 20 Nov 2005 20:53 - 177 of 334

.....and finished at midnight! wonder what turned us to drink......as if!

Looking forward to seeing if you can keep up this time :>)

Bones - 20 Nov 2005 22:01 - 178 of 334

Big Al, you missed out at Guildford. I saw first-hand what Amber does with a size 8 ball. If it's straight at your middle pin you want, you may well have a surprise in store!

PS Just back today on the Eurostar (highly impressed with the service) from Paris. Played the French gamblers in a 1,000 poker tourney at the Aviation Club. What a fine establishment. Finished around 50th out of 163 after my AK failed to stand up (not an age-related condition I hasten to add) so no Euros won. Good fun though.

Andy - 21 Nov 2005 00:07 - 179 of 334

bully,

Still nobody from Shares going?

Surely they can pursuade a couple of the journos to attend?

Big Al - 21 Nov 2005 00:14 - 180 of 334

Bones - I surmised this might be the case, so only a little surprised. LOL!

Ruth - 21 Nov 2005 11:26 - 181 of 334

ThePublisher - 21 Nov 2005 11:45 - 182 of 334

Sue 42 - 21 Nov 2005 12:40 - 186 of 334

Ruth - I'm not going to be caught out again!

I was planning to go as it would be great to catch up - however, as I am out the night before - I will now avoid a double hangover!

Yes, if you are coming down another time it would be great to meet up.

Ruth - 21 Nov 2005 13:42 - 187 of 334

Sue, would love to:-)

shogun - 21 Nov 2005 13:46 - 188 of 334

Ian
just spoke to ruth about the christmas do and i have just realised the date conflicts with my birthday ( the big 40 ) so could you take my name of the list, i will make good the cost if you require.

i dont know why but i was thinking the christmas lunch was on the 9th.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 21 Nov 2005 13:50 - 189 of 334

Shogun/Ruth,

No problem I will take you off the list,

Ian

Bullshare - 21 Nov 2005 13:58 - 190 of 334

Ruth - 21 Nov 2005 14:21 - 191 of 334

Jeff, you dark horse, 40 , u kept that one quiet,

Bones - 21 Nov 2005 16:12 - 192 of 334

Still leafing through my book, "Northern Excuses Vol II". Haven't found anything useful yet but I've a long way to go :)

Ruth - 21 Nov 2005 16:25 - 193 of 334

lol, Bones, ive never withdrawn from an event yet,:-) honest, :-) first time,

Bullshare - 21 Nov 2005 16:25 - 194 of 334

Bones; What's slightly worrying is that Shogun says he is 40. I am sure on the front of the various Benefit Claim books he produced in Manchester he had ages ranging from 38 to 72!

Also don't you call this selective memory:-0)

Ruth - 26 Nov 2003 15:59 - 182 of 323
oh bo**ocks bo**ocks, darling daughter just in from school, just gave me her christmas play tickets, she told me it was fri 12th and its not the 12th its the 5th, the day of money am xmas do, someones got it in for me today, shes doing 2 performances one at dinner time and one at evening, why they cant do on 2 seperate days i dont know, now as much as i love u guys and girls here , my daughter has to come first, and she has a decent speaking part this year, couldnt miss it for the world, Bully take it from me you will be pleased i cant attend, cause i was planning the mother of all embarrasments for you, had a cracker lined up, never mind , theres always next year
Mike, i will still send down my money with Steph if youve already paid it,

Ruth - 21 Nov 2005 16:36 - 195 of 334

Bully, but i did turn up remember, to pay the kissogram we got to stitch you up:-)
in fact had a great day , think i was the only one sober by the end of it:-)

Bullshare - 21 Nov 2005 16:42 - 196 of 334

And I thought she was just a bad dream!

Ruth - 21 Nov 2005 16:43 - 197 of 334

bully, u loved her, ide have been proud to be seen on the town with her, after all roughly same age , maybe she had a bit more hair, but i thought you looked a great couple,

Bones - 21 Nov 2005 16:44 - 198 of 334

Ah, The Blancmange-a-Gram. The memory of the pictures is enough :0

Ruth - 21 Nov 2005 16:54 - 199 of 334

Bully remember this, dont have nightmares this time its genuine :-)honest,:-)
im not up to any practical jokes, im already one up, dont want to give you nightmares:-)

Ruth - 05 Dec 2003 12:51 - 269 of 323
Afternoon all, right got to confess to my sins, im not at home,
its not my daughters Xmas play till wed and thurs next week,
its all been a big decoy, cause if Bully thought i was coming to London
he would have known and prepared for me,as he knows i would
have done something to pay him back for all the jokes etc,
so smart as he is, hes not as sharp as he should be ,cause ive had people posting
under my name all morning so he doesnt notice me missing from the thread,
as i set off for London with the north west lot
at 6-30am this morning,:-)

so what has ruthy got planned, well my brother is going to post this just
as soon as ive confirmed im outside the pub with the 25 stone topless roly -poly
kissogramm, that way no one can ring him and tip him off, before she pounces on him,

well you know me, real silly sense of humour, but getting one over on my hero bully
well nothing compares to that, see Bully, theres clever and streetwise, and you might
be clever, but your not as devious as me:-)

so when this is posted i will be pissing my sides, and Bully will be gutted,
dont think the kissogramm getting her baps out will bother him, its me getting the upper hand
in our practical jokes,

in all seriousness, i know Mike will see the funny side, some posters might not, but hey its xmas,
ive told the roly poly, not to undress bully, as thats probably to far on this occasion,
so shes just going to put him on the floor and climb on top of him and roll on him a few times,
sat here laughing as i type this, i just never grew up,

so thats all ive got to say for now, will be videoing and putting on here as soon as poss,
so Bully, you might have won the rugby, but the current score is

RUTH 1 Bully 0

however , i do expect revenge, and deserve it, but make it a good un,
cause im always prepared to go one worse

oh and liking my food so much, obviously i was not going to miss out on the nosh,
so we posted under a decoy name last week my food selection,

apart from this bit of naughtiness , im looking forward to the rest of the day, and the fun that brings.
Looking forward to meeting the posters that i havnt met before, and just the general atmosphere.

so on that note, i wish u all a happy trading afternoon, and be good and if u cant be good be carefull:-)

Bullshare - 21 Nov 2005 17:00 - 200 of 334

I am still under therapy, can I send you the bills! Every time I see Little Britain and Bubbles Devere I have nightmares.

Ruth - 21 Nov 2005 17:01 - 201 of 334

Bully:-)send Shogun the bill, hes got a few dodgy cheque books he can pay it off with,

Andy - 21 Nov 2005 20:07 - 202 of 334

I seem to remember the one in Ruth's photo wasnt as good looking as that, and a tad older too!

Ruth - 22 Nov 2005 07:48 - 203 of 334

Great, I MAY have a chance of getting there on time now i have a chaperone!(NOT the older type i hasten to add). Was contemplating coming up tonite as getting up at 11.00 doesnt leave much time for travelling :>)

Guv, "finding room for a late one", We didnt find that much room, I've told you where you'll be sitting!! Ask AND nicely....blimey that's a tall order..I'll try!

Big Al - 01 Dec 2005 15:12 - 228 of 334

I'll give you an alarm call when I get up around 6am, amber. ;-))

Bones - 01 Dec 2005 15:12 - 229 of 334

Scripophilist - 01 Dec 2005 17:47 - 232 of 334

Would have been fun to join you but I had several conflicts on the same day and I am very busy at the moment. I am sure there will be others. Have a good time anyhow.

chocolat - 01 Dec 2005 17:51 - 233 of 334

Now what am I going to do Scrip?

Scripophilist - 01 Dec 2005 18:08 - 234 of 334

You can send a cheque instead! ;)

rayrac - 01 Dec 2005 19:06 - 235 of 334

Hi mart'

It's all in the past.

But I am just a bit apprehensive, it's more about getting a word in edgeways though! Know what I mean? :)

Martini - 01 Dec 2005 19:07 - 236 of 334

Yes I know what you mean :)

Kayak - 01 Dec 2005 19:37 - 237 of 334

Sue 42 - 02 Dec 2005 07:50 - 240 of 334

have fun - My liver wouldn't stand it - hope to be there next year too :o)

Bones - 02 Dec 2005 22:39 - 241 of 334

Back home after leaving at a sensible time. Great event! Where do I start?

Good to meet the regulars; firstly Bullie, The Count, Amberjane, Big Al and The Guvnor for the "earnest" discussion at the dinner table. Not sure we got to the bottom of that but at least we know some people don't like it up 'em!

Also good to meet Gausie, Choccie, MG, Greystone and Stormcaller again. All on fine form as usual. edit: Not forgetting Jules and the Dynamities!

Also on fine form was Big Al - pleased to meet up at last. I'll be calling you Rubberman from now on, Al. I've never seen someone sway so much without moving their feet, yet stay standing. Not sure you'll remember what you were saying but it was fun :)

Look forward to the next one!!

Andy - 03 Dec 2005 00:30 - 242 of 334

I would just like to express my thanks for an excellent lunch to Bully and IanT.

I would also like to apologise to those I couldn't say goodbye to, as I had to dash to catch the train.

I enjoyed meeting old friends as well as new ones, and hope next year is as good!

Kayak - 03 Dec 2005 01:01 - 243 of 334

Back home after leaving at not so sensible a time.

Great fun as always.

Did Bullie manage to get to the strip joint in the end? :-)

MightyMicro - 03 Dec 2005 01:13 - 244 of 334

K: Bullie? Strip joint? Tell more!

Bullshare - 03 Dec 2005 09:16 - 245 of 334

Great day and night out. nuff said:-)

Big Al - 03 Dec 2005 11:16 - 246 of 334

It is the morning after the night after the day before. Currently in LHR waiting for transport north. Head in good condition surprisingly. Was up and at 'em by 7:30, which was amazing!

Brilliant to meet everyone, some again and others new. Was particularly pleased to see the Ozzie babe looking great. Also pleased to see my chaperones of 2 years ago turned up, but they were not needed. ;-))

I didn't last the whole night out - I know when my drink meter says "ENOUGH!!" It would've been highly embarrassing to have fallen over, Bones.

Ruth - 03 Dec 2005 14:49 - 247 of 334

Good to see you all had a good do,Sounds like it was a good meet,
Big Al, you werent pissed by any chance was you?:-)

well i can spill the beans now, the reason i couldnt come was because shoguns missus rang me up 2 weeks ago to tell me she was organising a surprise 40th bithday do for him, when i checked the diary it was the same day as the xmas do,
Shogun at that time hadnt even remembered it was his birthday, and he hadnt even told his other half he was going to London for the day, so i had to try and make sure he stayed here in Manchester on the Friday, but away from his own house as the prerations were taking place.
Well he did realise it was his birthday when he went back on the thread and took a closer look at the date, we thought for a minute he had sussed us out, but he didnt have a clue and was shocked on his return home last night to a surprise 40th do,
I was very ill yesterday and had to leave his party after an hour or so, so theres no way i could have travelled down to London anyway, even if it hadnt been his birthday an we were stil booked in,
But we will be there next year, unless someone else is 40 and keeping it secret from his/her fellow traders.:-)

Greystone - 03 Dec 2005 17:57 - 248 of 334

Thanks all for a great day out. Good to see so many old friends again.

How come The Count still looks as young as he did when I first met him xxxx years ago? One of those biotech plays of his must supply him with Peter Pan serum.. ;-)

And, Martini in ringlets....!? Had Amber and Choccie after the name of his hairdresser..... ;-)

Good fun and home safe. Sounds like no-one slept past their stop this year. Must have been tamer than I thought.

niggle - 03 Dec 2005 18:44 - 249 of 334

Greystone, hi!, where are the photos? :O)

Gausie - 03 Dec 2005 20:33 - 250 of 334

Thanks all - a fabulous day.

And an education!

G

Martini - 03 Dec 2005 20:34 - 251 of 334

Finally got home.
Thanks all for a highly enjoyable jaunt.

amberjane - 04 Dec 2005 01:10 - 252 of 334

Dont know why my names mentioned, i didnt go out last nite.......but my twin did, she's a pickle. But she had a great larf it was just a shame she didnt understand that "earnest" discussion. I cant help so will send her round to Bullies.......he'll explain!

chocolat - 04 Dec 2005 02:29 - 253 of 334

Great weekend - thanks guys.
Last one in turn the lights out ;)

Jules - 04 Dec 2005 14:53 - 254 of 334

supermum - 04 Dec 2005 15:22 - 255 of 334

SM

The Count - 04 Dec 2005 15:28 - 256 of 334

THE COUNT--->ALL

Thanks to all at Money AM for arranging a great get together once again....it had been a while since I have personally met up with other investors at Christmas...and it served to remind me what fun I have missed out on in recent years. Good to see both old investing friends of mine along with new ones too.

I have only just got in front of my PC since Friday to type up this post.

Alan, you know what they say....my fangs feast on Jungfrau blood when the sun goes down...it's supposed to keep me young for eternity...well, I hope for a few years longer at least!!!!! :-) Well, that's what Martini told me when he re-created me as the Prince of Darkness.

Mind you, neither you nor Martini nor Mike have changed much in the years I've known you either. Perhaps you are all on the same diet. But aren't these virgins getting hard to find and feast upon nowadays?

Hope everyone got back home OK as they planned and didn't end up 'roughing it' at places like New street station in the early hours. :-)

Thanks again to all for a really good time. I can't wait till the next one. I'm missing the banter and the company already.

Keep well and have a great Christmas.

Regards,

THE COUNT!

Bobcolby - 05 Dec 2005 11:43 - 257 of 334

Hi everyone. I really enjoyed my day (and night) out. So nice to meet old friends and new. Did not sleep thro my stop this year because I overnighted at hotel round corner. Greystone escorted me back. Had a "Health day" on Saturday and defeated the Captain and pro in an epic game of golf on sunday. I missed most of bullies earnest discussion, fortunately.

Bob

rayrac - 05 Dec 2005 14:09 - 258 of 334

Very very sorry to have missed it and the meet up with old friends. Been a tough weekend for me, 2 nights hotel, dinner and 2 shows! Although my wife did take a friend to one show (Rat Pack) and the hotel did charge just one night expence, so it could have been worse!

I still feel 'under the weather', cough etc, but improving slowly. I'll make it next year....even if it kills me. :)

J

Big Al - 05 Dec 2005 14:41 - 259 of 334

Afternoon all. Been putting life back together and buying up the world. ;-))

Been trying to remember Friday - you guessed it, Ruthy, I was quite far gone. Last time it was mg's fault, this time theguvnor's. Whoever put me and him at the end of the table with all the wine was nuts. Please seperate us in future! ;-)) Mind you, I did get a text from my son saying he'd got an unconditional acceptance for university this year, so that probably didn't help either.

I've a big blank from about 4pm in the restaurant to about 10pm in another having steak and chips. After that I do remember calling it a day and making it back to the hotel. Also a few quick glimpses of the bar in between, particularly seeing Angela and her man, but that's it.

Oh, don't remember checking into hotel either!

Got a feeling I may have been boisterous in the extreme. Apologies to those who didn't need it!!

Anyway, brilliant to meet one and all!

Dynamite - 05 Dec 2005 14:46 - 260 of 334

Hi,
A great days entertainment and Big Al was doing alot of the entertaining! The photos should be arriving on here to prove it.
Thanks for all the advice over the year Big Al ...you were not at alll like I expected you to be!! :-)
It was great to put a great many faces to names in particular, Jules, Bob Colby, Martini, Stormcaller, Big Al and Andy.
Di

The Count - 05 Dec 2005 14:46 - 261 of 334

THE COUNT--->BIG AL

Boisterous in the extreme....you...never! A pain in the butt to someone perhaps, but apart from that, you were a star on the day. Do you remember some of those shorts you were ordering at the restaurant?

Anyway, good to meet you.

Regards,

THE COUNT!

Big Al - 05 Dec 2005 20:35 - 262 of 334

BIG AL--->THE COUNT

Shorts? Armagnac cannot be dismissed as a mere "short". I think I remember 2 doubles. These were undoubtedly my downfall and my apologies for you having to live next door through it all! ;-))

Brilliant to have finally met you. Must admit you gave me a bit of a trading fillip I've been missing for some time. My sincere thanks.

Regards,

BIG AL!

amberjane - 05 Dec 2005 21:05 - 263 of 334

The Count - Very good but somehow I dont think Big Al can remember.....as it seems you have your apology.....but dont worry - just back from outpatients after the tetanus!!

Big Al - 05 Dec 2005 21:30 - 264 of 334

Ooops!

Mail me Amber?

chocolat - 05 Dec 2005 21:35 - 265 of 334

There anything else you might have forgotten BigA? ;)

amberjane - 05 Dec 2005 21:41 - 266 of 334

I'll send two emails in case :>))

Big Al - 05 Dec 2005 21:53 - 267 of 334

Sounds like enough for a whole new thread. Oh dear!

Big Al - 05 Dec 2005 22:22 - 268 of 334

It's confirmed. Big Al is a cannibal.

I'm gonna pay for this one.

Next - you got another skeleton Choccy? ;-)

Kayak - 05 Dec 2005 22:39 - 269 of 334

Well I must admit I was pretty drunk at one stage but it was all because of the not one, not two, but three Singapore slings that Stormcaller and Mrs Dynamite forced me to drink!

But then there's nothing that I can't remember. Is there?

theguvnor - 05 Dec 2005 23:48 - 270 of 334

A good time had by all I think...especially me. Next time Big Al wants to reduce the European red wine lake, can he enlist someone else other than me to help him. Maybe we could have a rota as mg and me have already done our bit. Any volunteers?

Also, Di no need to rush yourself with the photo's .............. I know you are very busy throughout the day so we all understand if somehow you don't get round to it for a while...........!

Thanks to Ian for arranging the festivities, and to all of you who made it an memorable and enjoyable occasion.

Kev.

amberjane - 05 Dec 2005 23:52 - 271 of 334

Well K that depends, your strip tease at the 2nd restaurant was pretty impressive and paying the whole bill including all Martinis puddings was even more impressive and then after you entered the club and paid for all the extras there and..........................well I guess not then if you remember all that :>)

STORMCALLER - 06 Dec 2005 00:05 - 272 of 334

Bit of a problem getting access since the bash, PC's playing up (again..:-( ), so a bit late getting here.

I wanted to thank AM guys for the great day, took the opportunity to meet a couple of the back-room staff which added to the day.

Also met a few "faces" for the first time, including the legend Martini, also Gausie, Big Al, (finally..:-) ) and Kayak!

Special thanks must go to Dynamite for putting up with me through the meal...:-))

Also found time to meet old friends, so all-in-all a great day......

I must say though, the highlight is saved until last, partly because it was such a lovely surprise, finally met Jules, and I hadn't been aware she would attend, marvellous...:-)))

Thank you to everyone who made it such a good day!!

Regards

SC

amberjane - 06 Dec 2005 00:06 - 273 of 334

Kevin!! What are you saying?? ' a memorable occasion'. You lost your accountable memory even before Big Al, at around 3.00ish

theguvnor - 06 Dec 2005 01:06 - 274 of 334

Amber, loss of accountable memory is a time honoured legal defence, used by many a miscreant when in front of m'lud.............or even worse the missus!

amberjane - 06 Dec 2005 10:49 - 275 of 334

:>))

Big Al - 06 Dec 2005 10:59 - 276 of 334

Your excuse no better than mine, Kevin.

;-)

Kayak - 06 Dec 2005 12:00 - 277 of 334

Oh good amberj, I thought I might have done something embarrassing!

chocolat - 06 Dec 2005 14:32 - 278 of 334

D'you know, K - you have the dinkiest writing :)

Kayak - 06 Dec 2005 16:33 - 279 of 334

Oh no chocolat, I think I remember. Did you manage to wash it off?

chocolat - 06 Dec 2005 16:44 - 280 of 334

Oh nooo - not yet.

Greystone - 06 Dec 2005 19:48 - 281 of 334

Oh dear!!!!! What a day...!

And finally....not for the faint of heart or those with health problems of any kind...Big Al shows his lighter side....

Many thanks to Dynamite for the pix...

Bones - 06 Dec 2005 19:58 - 282 of 334

Nice one of Big Al. You should have seen him after a few drinks though :)

KEAYDIAN - 06 Dec 2005 20:29 - 283 of 334

The person who looks like they're reading from a piece of paper looks familiar.

Greystone - 06 Dec 2005 20:38 - 284 of 334

KEAYDIAN - That was Bullie's rendition of the Christmas hymn... ;-)

Kayak - 06 Dec 2005 20:41 - 285 of 334

Pinsticker, isn't it?

Dailos - 06 Dec 2005 20:51 - 286 of 334

A few of observations.....

Big Al needs some of those porcelain teeth.

The guy reading something out looks like he had a good sized lunch..and not for the first time it seems.

The lady in picture 4 is gorgeous.

Martini - 06 Dec 2005 20:56 - 287 of 334

Dailos
That's mg and turns me on as well.
M

KEAYDIAN - 06 Dec 2005 20:57 - 288 of 334

Sadly I joined this site to late, but I do hope that next year I get an invite.

Big Al - 06 Dec 2005 21:00 - 289 of 334

LOL!

Can confirm teeth not quite that bad, Dailos ;-)) Not my best portrait admittedly. ;-)

chocolat - 06 Dec 2005 21:44 - 290 of 334

Yes but at least you were still fairly vertical at that stage BigA ;)

Big Al - 06 Dec 2005 21:51 - 291 of 334

How can you remember?

ROFLMAO!

Big Al - 06 Dec 2005 21:52 - 292 of 334

KEAYDIAN - you don't need an invite, you just turn up! ;-)

Greystone - 06 Dec 2005 21:58 - 293 of 334

Big Al in a more familiar pose.....

Bones - 06 Dec 2005 22:27 - 294 of 334

That's a good one for a caption comp. I'll start:

Big Al: "Och, what's tha' in there? I canna recall eating somethang tha' shape!"

Dil - 06 Dec 2005 23:32 - 295 of 334

Bullshare - 07 Dec 2005 09:17 - 297 of 334

It was nice to finally meet Dominic after all these years.

Dil - 07 Dec 2005 10:31 - 298 of 334

The Count - 07 Dec 2005 10:43 - 301 of 334

THE COUNT--->DIL

Personally, I think he looks like a real swashbuckler.....an adventurer....a Cossack (roamer of the Russian Steppes)...a pirate even (give or take an ear ring and an eye Patch).

Keep on truckin' Martin.

THE COUNT!

The Count - 07 Dec 2005 10:46 - 302 of 334

The Count - 07 Dec 2005 11:55 - 307 of 334

THE COUNT!

chocolat - 07 Dec 2005 11:57 - 308 of 334

Kivver - 07 Dec 2005 11:59 - 309 of 334

you prefer the fattter girls like Charlotte, saw her on tv the other day her pantie line was very visible (she needs to buy some bigger knickers).

The Count - 07 Dec 2005 12:03 - 310 of 334

THE COUNT--->KIVVER

Aah bless! Nothing wrong with Charlotte Church. Her boyfriend worries me a bit though....the little tart...the boyfriend, not Charlotte.

Dailos - 07 Dec 2005 17:00 - 318 of 334

I think the photographers need to invest in cameras with a "macro" setting. If their cameras have that setting they need to maybe drink a bit less and use them properly.
Keep the pics coming!
