USA: Eleksen awarded with CES Innovations 2007 for fabric iPod controller

NEW YORK: The Consumer Electronics Association (CES) has chosen US-based developers and manufactures of smart fabrics, Eleksen Ltd. as an international CES Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Awards honoree for its innovative fabric-based iPod controller, John Collins, Eleksen's vice president of business development informed in a pre release.

The smart-fabric technology of Eleksen is being employed in a growing range of iPod-ready coats, which are designed to let uses control their music player using washable, fabric-based technology.

The product will be highlighted at the 2007 International CES scheduled from 8th -11th January, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada which will showcase the hottest technologies in the consumer electronics industry.

Further, the company was also named as a finalist in the Design Application of the Year category for Elektra 06, Europe's electronics industry awards as it is being recognised for innovation in design and our technology's ability to completely transform the consumer electronics industry.

Eleksen Group plc, which makes smart fabrics that can be used to control electronic devices such as smart phones and MP3 players, today reported its first annual results following the Company's admission to AIM in May last year.
The results show 167% sales growth over the previous year, with the number of units delivered increasing to 368,970, over three times that achieved during the previous year.
