MoneyAM,
I'm having a problem using the Stockwatch screen from with the Opera browser (v7.54u1) on Windows 2000 with Java RT v1.4 - I've attached the Java output below. Stockwatch is fine in IE. Has the applet been compiled specifically for the Windows Java RT or is the error likely to be my setup? Do you have a workaround/advice to get it working in Opera.
Any help appreciated.
Regards,

I tried the different browsers when the Reuters add was messing up PCs.
I installed AOL, IE, Opera, Maxthon, Avant, and Firefox.
I stuck with Maxthon to get round the Reuters add problem and I think that's the one I use now and then due to its "enable right click" functionality.
I rejected Opera and Firefox as having problems I didn't want to solve.
I'm on a different PC now, but in a couple of weeks time, I can report back on MoneyAM problems that are browser specific. I think I remember problems with stockwatch on one of the browsers, but need to check which. Avant or Maxthon probably! Not Opera since I hardly used it.

crystalclear - our site has been tested on all the major browsers to run how it should - if you are having problems, it may well be a setting within a certain browser, but please do let me know and I will then be able to offer advice on how to solve any browser specific problems.

Ian
I run AOL for the connection and then another browser on top.
I tend to browse the internet and have several windows open.
Then when I find a page I like, I tend to PDF it in case it disappears from the internet later. All in all that probably chews through memory and I suspect Java sites (assume that's what you and ADVFN have) probably eat through memory. On top of that I think windows has a memory leak or two and I sometimes run stuff like OpenOffice, all on relatively old PCs. I'm likely to have problems you wouldn't doing a clean test on a rebooted new PC with loads of memory and latest windows.
In a couple of weeks I could do the odd test on the PC that has the different browsers and report if I see any problems. In the past I have just rebooted or switched browser if I have a problem, rather than take note, but I do suspectyour site runs better on some browsers than others.
I am not in need of any fixes. I have IE6 and things run fine on that.
Have fun!
