I owned a Triumph GT6 Mark 3 once. 'till I worte it off in Wales.
Shame. I loved that car.
I bought a second hand BSA 250 in 1962 to ride from home in Sussex to Arborfield where I was in the REME training barracks. That wore out in the end through lack of knowledge and maintenance. Never got another bike after they made crash helmets mandatory.

Thats right Dave and the points were hard to get at (you had to take the grill off) which meant that the mechanics in a garage were tempted not to bother adjusting them let alone changing them.

Evening all
Bad news on the cat front - she was run down by a car and killed so had a sad weekend!
Spent most of it redecorating the dining room (hence no access to the PC) repainting and laminating the floor, rehanging pictures and mirrors.
also agreed to buy another house - an old run down terrace that should take about 6 weeks to renovate and then sell on again - so in 4/6 weeks time you may see a little less of me for a while.
Hope all are well - a long needed pint of guinness please

oh Fundy sad to hear of your news!. All i can say is that we still have our little pussy here at the Cafe called Tiddles (mostly seen at the bar), and i think she took a shine to you so she's all yours from now on. Good luck with the house.
you also have a new member to your team.

Fundy,
Sorry to hear your news, it is always distressing to lose a pet, though at least you know what happened now.
Welcome back GD, one on the bar for you, to celebrate my win.
Better have a Guinness myself, don't want to get out of practice.

Stormcaller, Evening. Nice win on the gee gee. And thanks i will have a Guinness.
To avoid any confusion, Pappy used to be called onlyonestorm in his early days, nickname stormy. You two should be buddies or even family? :-)
Pappy, WELCOME to the Tea Rooms my old friend, you are now in my team with 8 ball, tim, and maybe jeff. I shall now call you pap since another storm blew through here?. :-)

Evening Dazzling Dave, Great posts on the capri, steamy windows and all that! made me chuckle.
Storm, Yes trip went well. You cannot beat taking a girl to a clapped out caravan for the weekend to show her a good time. (mutley snigger). Well if she can pull through the rough then she gets a tick in my little brown book and she can go on to phase 2. (too much info i know), i better go i have not eaten yet.
bye.

Evening Dotel, dd
Yes I caught top gear, like the GT40, not so keen on Maser, didn't think much of the handling of that jumbo!?!
Drink anyone?

quick pint ,then off to bed.
as for the jumbo,it would be a close call ,between that and the ford ,,,mph wise. beats them RAF jets a valley, you can get about 250 yards behind them, and when they put the thrusters on it does get warm, and there only little hawks.
