VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

Vane Minerals PLC
07 March 2005

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

A slow start but still in the right direction, definitely looking like long term punter's are getting on board. With so many informed people out there I guess it was just a matter of time for them to anyalise the available information. Could be that we will get a tick up shortly.

loadsa, all of my aussie (ASX) uranium plays have pretty much gone up 100 to 300% over the past couple of weeks.........and one of the companies put it down to a recent report and article in the US that was about the aussie uranium market and where uranium as a commodity was going in the future......

......so i would assume that VML might go up a little, from time to time, simply due to holding some uranium tenements.....however, for any real significant rise (that holds) - it really needs to get some cashflow from those 2 gold-veins, pump it into the uranium tenements, and come up with some uranium resource - even if it is small - because the way the uranium-sentiment is at the moment - it would skyrocket.....

even though this will all take time; the uranium price still has a peak to reach ('tis forecast to go at least another 30% higher than the current $29, within the next year or so).........

They look good to me and certainly there should be potential for a profit delivering mine which will fund the rest of the companys developments.

Im still holding my 7 tranches and will just let the share price do the talking.

I cant wait to see how the Uranium projects unfold but lets face it that could be a medium term story.

cheers GF

Hi GF
Have you been away or just taking a rest? Good to see you posting again.

I agree with your assessment with regards to the importance of the uranium and its anticipated effect on the sp, but what really attracts me to vane is the sound business sense that the management is applying i.e. the whole thing will be self funding from here in, plus we shouldn't ignore the recent copper venture, when viewed allround the whole package make one unique and robust model, with huge potential

A nice early start today, here's hoping it sets the trend for this trading period. Have a good day everyone.

Madison - 27 Jul 2005 15:59 - 1014 of 2220

Doesn't seem to be churning as much as a few weeks ago, when the odd sell would've precipitated a cluster of short term exits on a day like this. Confidence returning gradually? Some nice healthy buys over the last few days.

Cheers, Madison

loadsadosh - 28 Jul 2005 08:22 - 1015 of 2220

Hi all
Yet another encouraging early start today, purchases of vane shares over the last few days have as Madison states been quite substantial, more in line with what you would expect with a company of this prospect and calibre. But sp seems reluctant to rise in proportion to the rate at which it has in the past been seen to fall, anybody any idea why this should be the case?

dawsinho - 28 Jul 2005 09:28 - 1016 of 2220

Loadsa,

Although we've had some nice buys over the last week, volume hasn't been amazing. Still think Vane isn't on everybodys radar, which is a good thing imho.
With lots of news flow in the coming weeks/months i'm sure the sp will react and challenge previous highs. Lets see, we can expext news on the following:

choix copper prospect - drilling programme is being developed

mina charay - preliminary mine plan being done

guadalcazar - five more drill targets to be tested this summer

diablito - mining operations has begun/ update soon me thinks

and of course, my fav... URANIUM! this is in my opinion Vanes ace card.

And whilst the above is ongoing, Vane is still keen to identify other opportunities etc

A few months back Vane reached 24p, when the time is right i'm sure we'll be back up there :-)

dawsinho - 28 Jul 2005 09:32 - 1017 of 2220

oops! forgot to mention Paraguay project.. 22 gold/copper targets have been identified, with drilling planned for the future

Madison - 28 Jul 2005 15:44 - 1018 of 2220

buyers coming in again this afternoon...

Cheers, Madison

Copper Trading At Unprecedented Prices
By David J. DesLauriers
02 Aug 2005 at 07:05 PM

Copper prices in New York rose to a record, erasing earlier losses, as U.S. factory orders increased for a fourth straight month in June, renewing concern that demand for the metal will outpace supply."

At these prices, companies producing copper or developers bringing on production in the next 12 months are making or will make unbelievable amounts of money they are probably trading well under 2X forward cash flow for the developers. When will this be reflected in their share prices?

Cheers, Madison

belisce6 - 04 Aug 2005 18:23 - 1021 of 2220

although i don't want to bring any bad karma to VML;

check out RTM...... hahahahahaha

Madison - 05 Aug 2005 00:01 - 1022 of 2220

Vane have developments across a range of minerals. The immediate focus is that news from Diablito's gold mine is expected within a relatively short time. The price of gold has been advancing while we wait, and that can only be good for VML.

Cheers, Madison
