How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

I almost always do ok bakko but I am also honest with my bad trades / luck :-)
Not sure what effect the weather will have. I think it could favour SL as the DL method wil consider they are flying along and set England a high score.

DL will def favour SL currently, apart from the fact england have a better chance if they only have to chase for 30 overs not 50 say.
Bigger impact is on the spreads if say only 40 overs are bowled - that said it only looks like light showers

I really hope it's going to be just a brief delay.
If all trades get voided I'll jump out of my ground floor window and make sure I do a better job of it than the juve director!

Mr E
If you mean at OT, in ODIs over history its 212, but not a very good guide as this is a better OT wicket than most and the powerplays have changed things in the batting sides favour
current spreads indicate 280 which makes 1.7 look a pretty big price to me
Also, SL have scored well with pace on the ball, when eng bat they will look to take the pace off it

Thanks. I am not adding to my position as I will now lose 1400 if Eng win!! Thats all my profit and 1400, so much for my green position earlier!
Of course I could balance my position for a more or less neutral position.

hmmmmmm dont know if I should green up or let it run and look for betting trading opportunities later (if they materialise)

if I green up now I will secure about 50% of the profit.

Mr E....I stand to lose more than you if Eng win. I'd planned to reduce my Eng liability but the SL bloodbath in the last 5 overs twisted my arm.

Mine was bigger but I reduced it. During the 25-40 over period they just didn't seem to look good value for the price.
Are you keeping it open or going to close it and trade it or both?

Mr E....Try to have an exit point in case Eng have a flyer. SL odds currently at 1.23/1.24. If Eng do start well these odds will naturally drift out. You can have e.g a stop loss of 1.4 where you can green up and still take a large profit even if Eng do win.

I'm going to sit on it for now as I feel that SL should win. But will be watching and trading out to green up if Eng get close

I would normally agree but I lost out on about 20 ticks on the way down as I greened up.
My profit isn't that huge anyway.
I can only see 2 batsman that are capable of getting Eng into position. Bell end who should never be let anywhere near an Eng dressing room but I have a nasty feeling he might turn up today.

Does any one use the `stats on sport ` site?
Is it worth the money or can another site be recommended?
I know Scrip is very keen on his stats for football.

Anyone trading the Italy v Ukraine game?
Italy are favs and at 1.62. However, I dont think Ukraine are as bad as 8.6 but feel that the price is based on their dire performance in their last game.
