It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

Let's hope for a decent syle of play...and not :" euhhoh...it's ball...hell...what do I do with this...oh I know I'll kick it as far upfield as possible....that'll fool 'em...(15 seconds later)...aggghh...it's coming back...ohh..no....".....you know that sort of thing.....and endless substitutions bringing on god knows who at half time...never to be seen again....

Got my ticket for Cardiff v West Ham play off tomorrow , wonder if that plonker tabby will come down.

Dil - 04 May 2012 06:10 - 1008 of 6918

Wish I hadn't bothered.

Previous two seasons we've had good teams but how the hell we got into the play offs and the Carling Cup final with this lot is beyond me.

One class player , Whittingham , and he was the worst player on the pitch last night.

Continuing to play a 4-5-1 with Miller up a front as our lone striker who must be at least 2'6" small is so lacking in ambition plus the fact it takes him five shots to get one on target.

We lost 13 players at the end of last season , need to see something similar this year.

Dil - 04 May 2012 06:14 - 1009 of 6918

One glimmer of hope , last two seasons we haven't conceded a goal or lost an away leg in the play offs.

Clutching at straws I think.

Premier League televised football packages up for grabs

The Premier League has issued an invitation to tender for the domestic UK broadcast rights for the 2013-14 to 2015-16 football seasons.

It says 154 matches will be shown live on TV each season from 2013-14 - 16 more than currently broadcast and more than 40% of all top-level matches

Scousers booing the national anthem, swearing at kids going to the game etc etc

and still the naive armchair supporters look favourably on those vermin

Chris Carson - 06 May 2012 08:58 - 1012 of 6918

That will have been the London branch of LFC supporters Joe, don't confuse the blue half of Merseyside with Kopite Gobshites pleeeease! :O)

Well done Chelsea.....I hope for their sake that DD stays on next year.....Carroll looks like a player that can get even better....what a save by the way...and now for that RF trick question time again : what was the name of the first british manager to coach (or manage) a side against a british side in the european cup final ?...

required field - 06 May 2012 22:19 - 1014 of 6918

Roy Hodgson is the answer....thanks for all the entries....as there are none ....the chocolate bar gets scoffed by yours truly !......

Joe Say - 07 May 2012 08:27 - 1015 of 6918

the irony being that these scousers want gerard as the england captain - the team whose national anthem they love to boo

the armchair fans should pay more attention

Chris Carson - 07 May 2012 09:21 - 1016 of 6918

Is that right you total muppet, I suppose you prawn sandwich guzzlers would prefer Terry to wear the armband for England, what a great example of morality off the pitch and champion of fair play on it. Dead leg anyone?

Joe Say - 08 May 2012 07:13 - 1017 of 6918

great logic -

lets see - shall we go with the fighter (the one of about 10 that got off with a scouse jury !), or the drug cheat etc etc, or someone who once got sent off.

Chris Carson - 08 May 2012 08:10 - 1018 of 6918

You started it, Nah Nah De Nah Nah.

Chris Carson - 08 May 2012 21:56 - 1019 of 6918

Anyone know the score of the Liverpool v Chelsea match.....Mr Say?

Joe Say - 11 May 2012 07:14 - 1020 of 6918

yep - we won the one that mattered - the murderers won the league game

Chris Carson - 11 May 2012 22:10 - 1021 of 6918

I would have thought attempting to finish 4th was pretty more realistic, cause lets be honest your dreaming if you seriously think your gonna win the European Cup. Murderers is that the best you can come up with ?

Joe Say - 12 May 2012 07:52 - 1022 of 6918

seeing as we're 5 points behind tottenham, the odds certainly do favour a CL win over 4th

Chris Carson - 12 May 2012 08:47 - 1023 of 6918

That's now, prior to the Liverpool fixture that wasn't the case albeit goal difference was an issue.

Joe Say - 14 May 2012 07:15 - 1024 of 6918

well done City - definitely the team that deserved it this season and why, oh why, couldn' Bolton wrap up the perfect ending ?

required field - 14 May 2012 09:10 - 1025 of 6918

Missed the games but what a finale......couldn't have written the script better....well done ManCity....time Uefa made exceptions to the rule so that a fith team can enter the champions league if Chelsea win......we had that with Everton a few years ago....rule should apply to all nations of course and only if a finalist winner hasn't qualified for the champions league for the following season.....so most seasons just four would be entered....
