Bioprogress (BPRG)

scorpion - 13 Aug 2003 13:54

Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

Dil are you a holder,i take it you are,i am looking to buy at around 1.00,any thoughts,i did post 996,but had no joy,,,is it a closed shop this one!!

Bones - 22 Oct 2004 16:46 - 1007 of 2372

Dil likes to stir it up! If it's a down day, you'll find him here. Isn't that right Dil? :)

AdieH - 22 Oct 2004 17:06 - 1008 of 2372

Same as OldForger on iii, is it one and then same I wonder!

Think your be lucky to see 1.00 in my humble opinion. American market is very unstable at moment BPRG could have chosen better time but hey, this is a long term hold. SEO court case should liven it up even more, rumours they are going to appeal which could be nasty if they find in BPRG's favour again... Keep watching this is an exciting stock to say the least.

Good Luck to all genuine holders, take a look at COH, its getting interesting. DYOR.

Jumpin - 22 Oct 2004 17:10 - 1009 of 2372

And SEO is up 9% today... hmmmm should buy companies that lose court cases not win them and then list on the Nas!

Dil - 22 Oct 2004 17:10 - 1010 of 2372

Moi ???? :-)

I have only ever traded it long Bones but did intend going short on a spreadbet this afternoon but it ran away from me while I was out between 2.30pm and 3.30pm

Looks like its going to 100p and I'm still not convinced of the fundamentals so would never be a long term holder but happy to trade it. Have noticed that a lot of the idiots on advfn fbb seem to have disappeared so a lot of the hot money may now have moved on which may lower the volatility which in the long run should be good for the bulls.

Good luck Bones , were Leeds any good the other night ?

Dil - 22 Oct 2004 17:12 - 1011 of 2372

DD , pays your money and takes your chance but unless it hits a new high I wouldn't be lookin to buy at any price in the short term.

Bones - 22 Oct 2004 17:42 - 1012 of 2372

Dil. Leeds were fortunate to get a point to be honest yet almost stole all 3! They run about a lot being a young side and have plenty of potential I would think. Reading didn't win because of barn door syndrome :)

Janus - 22 Oct 2004 18:05 - 1013 of 2372

WINS were working hard to push the price down today..Why ?

daves dazzlers - 22 Oct 2004 22:34 - 1014 of 2372

Cheers adh/dil , i will be a lurker then and hope to get lucky in at around 1.00!!

AdieH - 23 Oct 2004 10:23 - 1015 of 2372

Good Luck, an article in Daily Mail, saying that they believe bottom hit and another deal to be announced soon.... Get in now maybe...

Janus - 23 Oct 2004 11:04 - 1016 of 2372

Daily Express

Drug delivery outfit Bioprogress was laid 8p lower to 117.50p despite speculation it was about to announce a deal with a Florida based company.

Daily Mail

Dealers believe it could be time to have another look at Bioprogress, the Aim-quoted provider of delivery systems for the pharmaceutical oral dosage markets. It closed 8p down at 117.5p,but sellers have now been cleared out and a rally should ensue.Chief ex Graham Hind has this week been at the Tampa,Florida, headquarters of its BioTec Films subsidiary, concluding what is believed to be another lucrative deal in the Far East

hlyeo98 - 24 Oct 2004 14:10 - 1017 of 2372

Helly - 25 Oct 2004 11:47 - 1018 of 2372

What the F*** is going on ?

jfletendre - 25 Oct 2004 11:59 - 1019 of 2372

Don't know but wish I'd sold at 1.30 a mere 2 days ago! But nature of the game......

AdieH - 25 Oct 2004 12:01 - 1020 of 2372

Me too, something rather strange is going on here, still in profit and def going to get out until this settles down... Listing on the Nas has certainly not helped here... Help.

Kivver - 25 Oct 2004 12:04 - 1021 of 2372

i think it might have something to do with the nasdaq listing. the nasdaq plunged on friday and some fear it might go more today. We could also look on it as a buying opportunity. I am not going to panic like some, keep faith, what has changed from 2 days ago, answer nothing. Hopefully some goog news/annoncement will come out soon. A year from now this share may have easily doubled. good luck, im holding/buying more.

bradley007 - 25 Oct 2004 13:27 - 1022 of 2372

I am at a loss on the BPRG move today, I think other posters are right when
they say its the "disappointing" NASDAQ situation, but I honestly thought
that it would be the UK driving this price not a couple of trades in the states.

Especially since apparently (according to my sharescope news system, havent seen the paper) that the Express carried a story saying there is
"speculation BPRG are about to announce a deal with a Florida based
company".

And (again according to sharescope) "Chief executive has this week been at
the Tampa, Florida headquarters of its Biotech subsidiary, concluding
what is believed to be another lucrative deal in the Far East"

Anybody enlighten me?

moneyplus - 25 Oct 2004 13:51 - 1023 of 2372

Money week says be careful of BPRG after the CEO sold a large chunk--could be a drift back for a while until more good news comes through.

gavinwood - 25 Oct 2004 14:11 - 1024 of 2372

johngtudor - 25 Oct 2004 14:12 - 1025 of 2372

Just scanning the posts and thought I would add a comment on BPRG.

Firstly, the Money week article was clearly written before follow a up RNS clarified the CEO's sales. Although it was not a good time to sell,(Company Directors only have short windows of opportunity to act in the market on their own shares), the money from the sales was required to purchase options in the company which are apparently falling due. Anyway the CEO's holding after the sale is still substantial so IMO no need for investors to panic...let the Directors have some money now and again.

Re the NASDAQ listing, IMO it will take some time for BPRG to get known and understood in the US. You have to have lots of investor roadshows etc to get an Analyst following and spend a lot of money to do so...so I see the listing helping BPRG with exposure and US deals...but we as investors should see it as a SP slow burn. Essentially as bradley007 has said, the UK drives this SP for the time being. What we now face is more volatility because of the listing, but nothing has changed in terms of the company since it was at 130p last week, except perhaps the sentiment of those who thought the SP would rocket as a result of the listing, and are now selling up. Weekend Press reports suggest that sellers are being mopped up and the share is due for an upward rerating. We shall see over the next day or so. Clearly some more good news flow will help!
