The market knew about the loss up to June, what they didn't know was cashburn rates and cash in hand; both turned out much better than expected. With 9 million in the bank we won't need to do a Stanelco and beg the shareholders for cash every year.

I suggest some of you actually try researching Bioprogress as I have researched Stanelco, shareholding is not the same as football team supporting you know.

bprg peaked in march 2004 after floating in may 2003. would you like me to post a graph? tell me again that it was weeks?
pm1's reference was about hind because everybody knew about hind but no-one knew who the chairman of bprg actually was. i just made the same mistake.
so early next year bprg will start making profits?!!! tell me again where the massive profits are you speak of.
you got me on 1 and that's only because i don't give a shit about bprg. but i intensely dislike hypocrytes . maybe someone of your stature should dyor before you lie and ramp.

Stanelco Debuts PulsLine(R) Solution for Tamper-Evident, Anti-Counterfeit Security Labeling

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 2005--Stanelco PLC (LSE:SEO) introduces PulsLine(R), the latest intelligent, anti-counterfeit label on the market. Designed to protect against fraud and product tampering, PulsLine is currently available in the United States and United Kingdom, and is used to safeguard products in the food, information technology, airline, pharmaceutical and automotive industries as well as many others.

When applied to form a seal, PulsLine provides evidence of tampering which can be detected both visually and electronically, vastly increasing the safety and integrity of a secured product.

Following ten years of research and development by the experts at Aquasol, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Stanelco, PulsLine is the first labeling system of its kind to use a unique patented multi-layer laminate construction. The applications are almost endless and offer protection and security in all retail environments.

Utilizing a security thread derived from the bank note industry, PulsLine identifies products as genuine. For enhanced security, PulsLine is designed to incorporate un-copyable bio-codes, DNA, radio frequency identification tags and holograms. Additionally, the thread can be micro-printed with a company name or logo, which can be revealed by removal of a unique tab pull. Additionally, the security thread has a tactile feel so those who are visually impaired can verify the authenticity of their purchased products.

"It took several years of research and testing, but now we are ready to launch PulsLine," said David Edwards, product development director, Aquasol. "The development of the PulsLine took years because the adhesive had to be strong. Now PulsLine is the latest anti-counterfeit, anti-tampering security label available."

In the past, counterfeiters have cut under product security seals in a manner not visually apparent, tampered with the products, then resealed them with the intent of returning the product to a retailer. With PulsLine, a retailer can scan the seal and it will stop where the knife cut the seal, exposing the fraud.

Designed to carry advanced anti-counterfeiting features, PulsLine can be continually updated to ensure that companies stay at least one step ahead of counterfeiters.

Does anyone else reckon that SEO are about to make an announcement. I know a number of us have been wrong footed on that before, but try contacting them and you'll see what I am getting at.

and?

hewittalan6 - 27 Sep 2005 16:39 - 10104 of 27111

How do you mean, Sharesure? Is it a load of vague responses and "I can't discuss that", or are they telling you something positive?
I get the feeling that something must be happening accross the pond, as old RNS are churned out over there, but that may simply mean they are trying to attract US investors.
Alan

Sharesure - 27 Sep 2005 16:55 - 10105 of 27111

Alan, SEO have always been very ready to talk/return calls until the last couple of days; now they all seem to be in a 'meeting' on a continuous basis. Maybe I'm too curious but it's what I would do if I didn't wish to be quizzed/quoted etc. Apart from which, they cannot like seeing the sp drift back even if they have no need of raising any cash.

qc - 27 Sep 2005 17:02 - 10106 of 27111

Perhaps they have a list of people they don't want to speak to and get the sec to fob them off when they call!! lol

paulmasterson1 - 27 Sep 2005 17:05 - 10107 of 27111

Or trying to attract US customers .... i.e. marketing ....

As Stanelco are trying to push the companies products in USA/Canada via the Orlando office, it could simply be that ....

I am sticking to it being a build up to the Wal-Mart presentation on packaging sustainability unless I hear different from HQ, as I see no reason to re-announce products and agreements via business wire months after the fact, as if this news is new, whereas it is old news.

Cheers,
PM

Snip re post#10077 again. Take a look at GFM's left hand sp graph and see if you see any past shape similarities to SEO's; then tell me with confidence that you could easily have predicted the sudden reversal in the slide that was underway at GFM in July and that the sp would now be where it is. Now look at SEO's sp graph and ponder if it isn't having its 'July' but just that much later in the year?

shamona - 27 Sep 2005 17:14 - 10109 of 27111

Its falling because it's vastly overvalued, profits are but a distant dream i'm afraid and the market is simply correcting the spike caused by rampers and overuse of the rns system.

My 2p target remains intact.

ps Paul, hurting over yoo I bet:-)

bhunt1910 - 27 Sep 2005 17:24 - 10110 of 27111

Sham - I am pretty sure Paul got out of Yoo when it hit 10p - cos he said he was going to re invest it in SEO - I know I followed his advice and bought at 4p and sold at 11p.

Intelligent label protects foods against counterfeiting and tampering

9/27/2005 - A new intelligent label is designed to protect foods against counterfeiting and tampering, a growing problem for high value products.

UK-based Stanelco today said its PulsLine label provides evidence of tampering which can be detected both visually and electronically, increasing the safety and integrity of a secured product.

Counterfeiting and tampering can undermine consumers trust in the quality and safety of a branded food product, leading to a loss in market share.

Off-the-shelf scanners, printers and software are of such high quality that even novice fraudsters can use them to create labels and packaging for counterfeit branded foods.

According to a report by Canada-based Gieschen Consultancy about $8.5m of counterfeited food and alcohol products were seized by law enforcement agencies worldwide during the first half of this year.

Stanelco claims PulsLine is the first labeling system of its kind to use a special multi-layer laminate construction, which the company has patented. The system uses a security thread similar to the one used for bank notes.

PulsLine identifies products as genuine. For enhanced security, PulsLine is designed to incorporate un-copyable bio-codes, DNA, radio frequency identification tags and holograms.

The thread can also be micro-printed with a company name or logo, which can be revealed by removal of a tab pull. The security thread can be felt by hand.

"In the past, counterfeiters have cut under product security seals in a manner not visually apparent, tampered with the products, then resealed them with the intent of returning the product to a retailer," Stanelco stated. "With PulsLine, a retailer can scan the seal and it will stop where the knife cut the seal, exposing the fraud."

Gieschen Consultancy estimates that seven percent of the world trade is in counterfeit goods worth $350bn, dominated by fake financial instruments. The industries affected also include manufacturers of software, automobile and aircraft parts, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods such as foodstuffs, beverages, tobacco, clothing and personal care products.

Stanelco is a UK packaging company that develops radio frequency (RF) technology, applications and biodegradable materials for food packaging.

The company markets a method to seal plastic food-tray packages using radio frequency technology, called Greenseal. The company claims the technology provides a cheaper and more efficient method heat sealing trays for an industry focused on cost cutting and food safety.
