Galleon Holdings (GON)

banjomick - 15 Jun 2004 08:48

INTELLIGENT INVESTING WITH BANJO,well sort of! (Ed-hmmmm-lol)

Galleon Holdings plc has three key divisions:Galleon Entertainment for entertainment type IP,Croco Worldwide for product IP,Phoenix for interactive TV services for broadcasters in China/South East Asia which includes Robot Information Technology (Lushy Assets ('Yunbo')) who are a wireless interactive platform service provider in China who will work alongside Phoenix to enable GON to hold on to a greater part of the generated revenue and so increase the profit margin......think that's the plan! :-)

This makes Galleon Holdings a 'One Stop Shop' to develop and complete new and existing IP's.

"He continued, Many projects within Vision Asia, a great example being Vision China, have proven that Vision Asia works. In order for a long-term sustainable development, we need commercial investment, and I am delighted to welcome Chelsea Football Club as our first development partner where the commercial opportunities of the Vision Asia project have also been addressed.

AFCs motto is The Future is Asia and now is the right time for Chelsea to play our part in that future. Chelseas involvement is about developing and building success, not buying success or taking the money and running from tours of the region. This philosophy is directly compatible with AFCs plans.

From what Ive seen today of AFCs development programme, Vision Asia, football in this region has the ambition and ability to challenge European football from the grassroots upwards. That type of global regional competition can only benefit the football family everywhere. If Chelsea can help achieve this through involvement in areas such as grassroots, youth, coaching, education, marketing, sports medicine, media and fans this will bring long-term benefits to us all.

A few notes but not of the musical kind:

Group revenue up 240% to 4.5m (year end September 2007)

Croco revenue up 258% and already has an order book for 4.75m for 2008,so by my reckoning GON as a whole are up 250,000 just with Croco and in the first 4 months!

Final Reasults (year ending 30 September 2007)

In October 2007 GON announced a placing of 8m at a price of 29p per
share which were bought by both institutional and other investors. The initial purpose of which was to acquire Phoenix Investment Global Limited (Phoenix).

Phoenix specialises in the provision of interactive broadcast television
services which allow broadcasters in China and South East Asia to provide
interactive entertainment that their audiences can access through TV, online and mobile. Its customers are leading broadcasters such as Hunan ETV,Hunan
Satellite,Guangdong Sports Channel (China) and Media Prima (Malaysia).

Phoenix and placing of shares

During this relatively short time Phoenix have gained two Interactive agreements with the major TV stations in Malaysia.

Interactive TV Agreement with TV3 - Malaysia's largest broadcaster

Interactive TV Agreement with Metropolitan TV and CH 9

Soon after this GON announced the acquisition of a wireless interactive platform service provider in China which will provide direct revenue from the work Phoenix obtains.

Acquisition of Wireless Interactive Platform Service Provider in China

Keeping on the Far East theme GON recently announced a co-production agreement with Chelsea FC and Guangdong TV (Region of China) to produce and air (April 2008) a live action soccer talent show "Super Soccer Star".

Galleon launches Soccer Show in China with Chelsea F.C. and Guangdong TV Sports

Skunk Fu-GON hold 15% of the equity along with owning the global merchandising and licensing rights for this IP (excluding German speaking countries).
Not a lot needs to be said as far as the brand is concerned as it is truly global!
Merchandise is mostly going to be via Croco (owned by GON) with anything else duly licensed through GON.

Apollos Pad-This is a wholly owned IP by GON and is at a very exciting stage with the new webisodes now on the web site along with GON attending MIPTV in April 2008 to hopefully make deals and so enable the TV link to complete the 360 experience! If this can be achieved then AP will become a global interactive IP with revenue capabilities on various fronts!

http://www.apollospad.com/

Mysti-Deals were made September 2007 for a film version and if you read further into this then a new series is on the cards with more of global appeal and no doubt take the form of the 360 approach but still early days, maybe!

Statement Re. Mysti deal for Feature Film

Sokator-442-All gone a bit quiet here which could be a good or bad sign!Presales have already been made to Germany and Australia (as was Skunk Fu in early days).Huge potential but await further news.

Some bits from a poster over on the 'Dark Side' who attended todays AGM:

showed the first episode of super soccer, looks very good, the first four episodes have been filmed. expected to be very successful show, the jury made up of movie stars etc, profitable from day 1, with overall profitability could be easily c 1m for the series if not more.

possibility for merchandising as well

second show is nearly ready, again family orientated etc

Croco is solid, good margins and cash generator, also gives them access to the marketeers of the big food companies who can turn into sponsors, ads etc

From todays announcement (part of):

"Following the acquisition of the wireless service provider Yunbo, in China,
Galleon has established its position as a specialist in creating, distributing
and monetising cross platform interactive entertainment content throughout South
East Asia and China. Part of our strategy is to grow our pipeline into the
region through the interactive services that we provide to the broadcasters.
Currently we provide interactive services to 5 broadcasters and we aim for this
to be at least 10 broadcasters by the end of the year.

Strategically we will leverage this network and business model by co-producing
with South East Asian and Chinese broadcasters on mass market interactive
entertainment brands.

In China, Super Soccer Star, our first production with Guangdong sports channel
and Chelsea Football Club will be aired to an estimated audience of
approximately 50 million viewers on Friday 4th April and will run each Friday at
7.30pm for the next 13 weeks.

This show has already attracted attention from other broadcasters in China and
South East Asia presenting the opportunity of establishing the franchise as we
roll the program out across the region.

We have agreed to launch a second Galleon entertainment property with another
leading Chinese broadcaster in 2008. We will announce more details on this once
the broadcast schedule is confirmed.

Partnership with RDF Media

Having validated the pipeline and demonstrated the flexibility of our business
model we have sought access to a library of entertainment content and production
expertise that we can exploit within China and SEA. To this end we are delighted
to announce that Galleon has entered into an agreement to work with RDF Media to
co-produce a select number of shows with leading broadcasters in China
leveraging the best of RDF creative content and Galleon's business model and
expertise in executing these shows in the territory."
