Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

i think it might have something to do with the nasdaq listing. the nasdaq plunged on friday and some fear it might go more today. We could also look on it as a buying opportunity. I am not going to panic like some, keep faith, what has changed from 2 days ago, answer nothing. Hopefully some goog news/annoncement will come out soon. A year from now this share may have easily doubled. good luck, im holding/buying more.

I am at a loss on the BPRG move today, I think other posters are right when
they say its the "disappointing" NASDAQ situation, but I honestly thought
that it would be the UK driving this price not a couple of trades in the states.
Especially since apparently (according to my sharescope news system, havent seen the paper) that the Express carried a story saying there is
"speculation BPRG are about to announce a deal with a Florida based
company".
And (again according to sharescope) "Chief executive has this week been at
the Tampa, Florida headquarters of its Biotech subsidiary, concluding
what is believed to be another lucrative deal in the Far East"
Anybody enlighten me?

Money week says be careful of BPRG after the CEO sold a large chunk--could be a drift back for a while until more good news comes through.

Just scanning the posts and thought I would add a comment on BPRG.
Firstly, the Money week article was clearly written before follow a up RNS clarified the CEO's sales. Although it was not a good time to sell,(Company Directors only have short windows of opportunity to act in the market on their own shares), the money from the sales was required to purchase options in the company which are apparently falling due. Anyway the CEO's holding after the sale is still substantial so IMO no need for investors to panic...let the Directors have some money now and again.
Re the NASDAQ listing, IMO it will take some time for BPRG to get known and understood in the US. You have to have lots of investor roadshows etc to get an Analyst following and spend a lot of money to do so...so I see the listing helping BPRG with exposure and US deals...but we as investors should see it as a SP slow burn. Essentially as bradley007 has said, the UK drives this SP for the time being. What we now face is more volatility because of the listing, but nothing has changed in terms of the company since it was at 130p last week, except perhaps the sentiment of those who thought the SP would rocket as a result of the listing, and are now selling up. Weekend Press reports suggest that sellers are being mopped up and the share is due for an upward rerating. We shall see over the next day or so. Clearly some more good news flow will help!

from ZAK MIR A TOP CHARTIST !!! says
Buy Bioprogress
While moving averages of practically every time frame are used by chartists, I have settled on the 50 day and 200 day moving averages almost from the start of my charting days nearly 15 years ago. What both these averages are useful for are those moments when there is no obvious support or resistance from any other source. In the case of Bioprogress the retracement from this month's peak over 130p seems to have found the 50 day line at 109p. What can be said at this point is that for bulls of the stock the "last chance saloon" is to buy now and only exit if we see a two day close below this level. This may sound quite an open stop loss, but it is the case that if there is to be a rebound from the bottom of the July ascending price channel, it should happen from here.
The good news if 109p holds is that we would be looking at a "maximum" upside at the July resistance line of 155p.

John
I think the Stanelco Court Case and Nasdaq listing have both served to entice the speculators, you only have to read posts on other BBs to understand how much these two events were supposed to impact on the SP, (2-5 by Xmas etc). Now it has become obvious that neither is having a huge short term impact, speculators will be moving onto something else. I have no doubt that BPRG will continue to announce new deals over the coming months, adding some stability to the SP. Not a time to panic.

I will be real surprised if it hits 1.00 again.. then again this mornigs move
was odd NASDAQ opened $ 20.95 / $ 20.95 with a small purchase of 20.95. this calls it at about 1.13 - 1.14.
Its amazing how the buyers came in as soon as delayed quotes were available,
a bizzare way to trade stock!!!!! Re my previous post.. anyone got updates
or clarity on the announcements?
I also note that it is Winterfloods that mashed the price today and have been
soaking up tons of stock at 110, as they are are above the rest by 2p and
calling the offer 113.5... lots of bonus for that MM today me thinks!!

Evening.
Not posted here for some time as have been away. Still got a few sitting having taken a bit at 116p some weeks back. Was not really worried but Hinds sale and the volume accompanying the past 3 day's selling is quite unnerving. Have never been taken by Zak's TA skills so will completely ignore it. ;-)
Personally find tonight's close tempting if it holds, but can't get that volume out of my head.
As expected, the NAS thing was pie in the sky. Interesting posts from a few here. No longer visit the FBB thread as it is by and large populated by muppets.

Welcome back, hope the North Sea wasn't too chilly!!
I managed to buy into this a while ago when they were on the way down the last time around, so carrying a small paper loss at the moment. Having seen my investment halve previoulsy and then subsequnetly leap into profit the volatility of this share doesn't overly concern me. Certainly a few traders were talking about shorting again, so the slump does not come as a huge surprise. Personally, I believe the company are doing OK and am happy to hold for the time being, probably only medium term though. Think I might bail next time I'm showing a reasonable profit.

Hi PTH - thermals next trip! ;-))
Remain a holder, but need to see 1 held I think. Very difficult to think of this share as an investment rather than a trading one! ;-)
