I bought shares in this company at 4.5p in September 2003. I see they are rising. Can anyone tell me please the growth potential for this company as they have just been awarded several new contracts ?

nathan7, apart from that already mentioned, additional MMs dilute the power of the other MMs by introducing an alternative buyer/seller of the stock. So from a power base of 3 effective controllers of the market in CWV there are now 4 controllers.

happy2watch & nathan ....the more I think about KBCS coming on board...the more I think something big is going to happen soon....no market maker would take on the extra cost of trading a stock that 3 are already making money on...if they expected volume to dry up and the stock to tread water...and one thing's for sure they will have done their own research !!!

After the interest and buying volume in CWV over the past few weeks....I think the placing is going to be heavily oversubscribed without any further news required....so the speculation of the placing being at the worse case scenario of 8.3p just does not stack up.....
I would not be at all surprised if the directors play a very smart game here and actually raise less than ?2.5m now for far less dilution.....lets say for example ?1.5m for a further 10m shares i.e. at 15p each.....announce further TDI and ProphetX sales in the New Year...and come back in 3-6 months time for a further amount at a much higher price....remember it was very non-specific in the RNS....axe has pointed this out several times now !!!
:
The Company is today sending to shareholders a circular which includes a notice
of an extraordinary general meeting convened to seek their approval to increase
the authorised share capital of the Company and to authorise the directors to
issue and allot ordinary shares on a non pre-emptive basis, including up to
30,000,000 new ordinary shares specifically for the Proposed Placing.
The subscription price of any new shares to be issued under the Proposed Placing
has not yet been agreed, but is expected to be at a discount to 15.25p, the
Company's mid-market share price at the close of business on 28 November 2003.
The number of shares actually allotted under the Proposed Placing may be
significantly less than 30,000,000, depending on, inter alia, levels of demand
and the subscription price agreed with new investors.

amrishbhim,
Don't want to dampen your enthusiasm (along with Sue et al) but the directors of CWV have put a self imposed, and a little naive, dampner on the share price this side of Christmas. They have stated that the rights issue will be at a discount to 15.25p. So far so good except that the rights issue needs shareholder approval at an EGM. Guess what, the EGM isn't until 22nd December - oops!
Since an official statement on rights issue price has been released they would have to first retract it to set a higher price, otherwise they would lose credibility etc. With 2.5M being raised the MMs will not be keen to aquire at prices about 15.25 close to the rights issue date.
Any other views from the board?

I suggest that you read the rns as you have selected reading. It says it is EXPECTED to be at a discount, so it is already open ended

I think the rights issue will hold price from running too far north in the short term.
IMHO, I expect the issue to be fully subscribed and I expect the company to avail of the full 2.5million.
That will effectively dilute our shares now by about 25-30%, ex rights date. I expect the new shares to be offered at around 10-11.5pence.
Anyone care to speculate who will be buying the new shares? Surely 2.5mio is pretty small beer?
Share will find its level, after issue. Greater liquidity & greater market maker interest will do no harm at all.

martincoops,
the word EXPECTED is irrelevant.
The issue WILL be at a discount to the 15.25pence level, no doubt about that.
Given the price volatility over the past 4 weeks, no-one is going to subscribe to a rights issue and risk paying a premium!
Whilst some on this board see this stock as a one way ticket, to others it is still a relatively high risk punt.
Put it another way; if you as a holder of the stock were given an opportunity to buy more stock at 10pence you would fill yer boots! You might not fill them as quickly at 15pence, particularly if an accompanying trading statement does not outline significant revenue progress.
It will definitely be discounted.

If it is irrelevent then why was it included in the RNS? And by the way i brought in at 7,10,10.5 16 18 and again at 14.
No revenue growth I think not, why do you think they are raising the money, to put in the bank? The next 12 months will see this share go to great heights on substantial contract wins. 15p is a great price to get in because as soon as the funding is over the share price will move upwards and come positive results will be at least double todays value. I am not saying that there will not be any dips and expect some before the 22nd buit when do you buy? This share price can move 20% in 5 minutes.

That volatility will produce a discounted offering.
I dont disagree that revenue can grow, but the question is how fast? ?2.5mio spent on sales & marketing in the USA in Q1 04 may not show through to bottom line until fiscal 05/06. Patience may be needed for 30 pence.
I hope ur right about those 'substantial' contract wins.

Personally I think everything in the pre-placing RNS is carefully worded by a very astute board of directors...who have played a very smart game so far to ensure that they will face minimum dilution !!
