Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

– Between 2010 – 2015 the United Kingdom created more jobs than the whole of the European Union.
– In 2014 Birmingham alone created more jobs than all of France.

Theresa May read geography and obtained a second class BA degree -now its clear that the UK has a second class PM that would do well to read history. As Home Secretary TM praised the actions of the police in controlling demonstartations about education fees - well before long she may wish she had Boris`s Water Cannons as there could be riots before the fat lady sings.

Unlike Trump she just diverts the questions but does not answer in an honest way or be blunt like Trump and make it clear he will not answer. Waffle pure Waffle.

My father was a miner who due to the benevolence of the pit owner started to work underground at the age of 12.
His father also a miner died at the age of 36, partially due to working and "social" conditions, when my father was six years old.
In my period of "bumming around", I worked for short periods on the surface and underground on a pit as well as in other heavy industries.
Unlike some, I didn't hire my rear end off to "enable" myself.
I suggest, when you reflect on what you claim to have done improved the "social conditions" of those employed by you when you were in Brazil, question who made the greatest gain and how were the profits distributed.
Were they proportionate to the risks being taken by all in the development?
I am afraid it still appears as when you were dividing sweets as a kid, it may have been "one for them and two for you".
A bit like the attitude of T.May and cronies are using when said to be attempting to deal or negotiate with the EU.
I suggest some of the tory negotiators would benefit from a course or two in linguistics. It may help with the language they are using.

i don't know if fred is obese as well, but it must be really tough walking around with that big bag of logs on his shoulder - or is it slack nicked from the slag heap late at night?

Show some respect for Fred cynic - his views may not be in alignment with yours but to suggest he is a theif beggars belief from the likes of yourself.

why should i?
i have no objection to what views he holds, but i certainly get very bored with him harking back to having to go to school without clogs and belittling everyone else
btw, i was calling him a thief exactly .... it was common and accepted practice back in those good old days, as was nicking small coal from beside the rail tracks

"why should I?" oh Alf stop behaving like a spoilt child and have some respect for once in your existence.

why?
fred shows no respect for others, and he needs to earn it, not be given it like some spoilt child
as they say
if you can't take it (but fred is perfectly capable of looking after himself), then don't dish it
