IMO there will be no impact as no one can sell the new shares for 60 days.
If they could sell them I doubt they would as they know what deals they already have lined up.
The softbank deal is a massive deal and the holders of the new shares know the potential of the deal and the current shareprice doesn't reflect the potential hence why would they sell.
They might sell at 50p! There again they might not.

The present chart position is evolving positively, but at the moment it's all potential. The price lies on/above the 50 day EMA and not far below the 200 day EMA. Both are almost flat and it wouldn't take much to push above the 200day EMA. As long as the price then stayed above it on decent volume, a new medium/long term trend will be confirmed.

dont think im being negative ( been a tad holder over 10 years ) but if the softbank deal is so massive, how come no buys to speak of, no volume, no nothing?

I have included the EMA's that you refer to. I am not too clever with
pasting graphs etc, but I think I have done it correctly.

Until its signed and sealed people will remain weary about the deal, also the only part that has been released relates to the $9m initial payment, the fact that Steig & co negotiated up to $150m in the first 2 years lets us know what he expects to get from the deal and as he expects to take the majority in shares one gets the feeling he doesn't expect the share price to drop when his deals hit the public domain.
Steig looked a pretty switched on character and with broadband penetration increasing daily so does our potential.

By Macworld staff
Adobe is offering a new licensing program to university campuses in the US.
The new program will allow institutions to distribute Adobe software products at a lower cost to students and staff for use in teaching, learning and administrative activities.
Products on offer include Acrobat, Creative Suite and Adobe Video Collection.
It is also possible to earn points toward further discounts on other purchases as part of a Contractual Licensing Program (CLP) agreement. Under this program, students own the license, allowing them to continue using the Adobe software products after they graduate or leave the institution. Students are also eligible to purchase upgrades and support options.
The program is running in North America only at the moment.

Looks right to me ML, thanks.
Yuff,
Not sure why you should be tired prior to the actual announcement; stress? (Joke).
Despite the EGM and documents, I get the feeling most people still don't feel that they understand the financial side of the deal. I know I don't, but then I don't make the effort to understand it. Lack of understanding tends to breed either inertia or concern, neither being positive. What is needed is a positive price trend so that people can become positive on the basis that others must be happy with the deal otherwise they wouldn't have bought.
Pregnant is the word right now.

Hudson launching fantasy MMORPG
The Japanese publisher gives its online game a new anime-style look for its pan-Asian debut. The beta begins October 28.
TOKYO--Japanese game publisher Hudson, in collaboration with broadband provider BB Serve, announced today that its massively multiplayer online role-playing game for the PC, Master of Epic: The Resonance Age Universe, will begin beta testing this month. Hudson is developing the fantasy-style game, while BB Serve, a subsidiary of major IT company Softbank, is putting up part of the game-development budget and is also providing the game's network infrastructure and distribution route.
Master of Epic has been in development at Hudson for the past three years, and was beta-tested from March to December of last year. At the time, Master of Epic was called Resonance Age: Lost Overlord, and it featured medieval worlds drawn with realistic Western-style graphics. But along with the change in title, the game now features an anime-style look.
One reason for the change is that Hudson is targeting the game at an Asian audience. The company is already localizing the game for China, where it is slated to launch next summer. Hudson revealed today that it has received offers from companies interested in launching the game in Korea and Taiwan.
For the time being, the Japanese beta test of Master of Epic will begin on October 28. Any user can participate by creating an account with BB Serve's online gaming portal, BBGames. But once the game is officially released, only members of Softbank's ISP, Yahoo BB, will be able to create accounts. (All beta testers will be able to play the final game, regardless of ISP.)

......NCsoft announced the launch of its new European subsidiary in July. It has already successfully established itself in Korea, North America, Japan, Taiwan, China and Thailand. The launch of its European company takes NCsoft one step closer to constructing a global network for online game services.
NCsoft is planning to launch Lineage II in Europe by the end of 2004, with City of Heroes and Guild Wars set to follow in 2005. After that, the company will continue to service new games with the objective of establishing itself as a leading online game company in the European region by the end of 2005.
The capacity of the online game market in Europe is expected to reach about $3 billion US this year, and in 2005 it is expected to exceed $5 billion US.
