Bioprogress (BPRG)

scorpion - 13 Aug 2003 13:54

Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

Hi Big Al

I have made quite a bit out of this stock, in and out,
but cant work out what is going on at the moment and I am carrying
a not insubstantial loss.

After getting into Asian Energy at 80p and then getting bored, and
selling, proposing to my girlfriend in Rome, coming back and finding
it at 350.... I am wondering now whether my powers have been drained
by the thought of marriage!!

I notice the ADRs were up yesterday, on the day, but I have discounted
any movement on those, obviously to my peril!

Do you think its the short traders moving this, considering the recent rumours
of an announcement, or something more sinister that we dont know
about yet... With MSN messenger etc, information in the market seems a little more porous than it used to be....

ptholden - 26 Oct 2004 10:02 - 1037 of 2372

Well,

This is tanking big style. Good support at 1, intersting to see if it bounces or just keeps going.

Big Al - 26 Oct 2004 10:41 - 1038 of 2372

bradley - powers always drained where wimmin concerned. ;-)

PTH - 1 was strong support before failing big time earlier this year.

ptholden - 26 Oct 2004 10:46 - 1039 of 2372

Fair point Al, although significant business progress made since then. Just about holding there for the moment. Personally, I think it's going to keep going, but......

PTH

ptholden - 26 Oct 2004 11:53 - 1040 of 2372

It's carnage over on ADVFN, tearing each other to bits. Cheered me up no end! LOL

azhar - 26 Oct 2004 12:06 - 1041 of 2372

Below 100 with out support. Where next guys? was thinking of getting in @100 but no way jose'. R we gonna see 80s

bosley - 26 Oct 2004 12:38 - 1042 of 2372

i thought bprg WON the patent case and that all was bonny and rosy? anway seo is up . just thought i'd tell you all.

ssanebs - 26 Oct 2004 12:47 - 1043 of 2372

this is an easy stock to short and the cfd positions will close 85-90 and we will see the bounce to 1.

hlyeo98 - 26 Oct 2004 13:45 - 1044 of 2372

What is the cause of the drop today and yesterday??

bradley007 - 26 Oct 2004 14:19 - 1045 of 2372

ssanebs... are you a short at the mo on BPRG?

Also who can I trade cfd's on this stock with...downloaded the
GNI demo as per other poster but it is pants...

I think thats where we are at the moment..reaction to director sale
(although he was selling to pick up options) and the NASDAQ trades
(although they have traded up from lows... Trouble is when the yanks
wake up and see the blood on the floor today there may be some shorts
about (can the yanks short stock? - something in the back of my mind
tells me no...)

The annoucements on an impending far eastern deal seem to have been ignored
so this could be one to watch if such an annoucement is made..

16900 @ 1.20...... 20,000 @ 1.00....... pray for me......

gavinwood - 26 Oct 2004 14:21 - 1046 of 2372

Just topped up at 99.5 - IMO these will be 150 within a fortnight. Nice to get a bargin sometimes. - And yes, you'll be in my prayers!

transco - 26 Oct 2004 14:37 - 1047 of 2372

Sorry but I smell boiler room tactics here.
Pump & dump!!

bradley007 - 26 Oct 2004 14:40 - 1048 of 2372

Thanks gavin.... Think 1.50 might be a bit strong... a pull back to the
30s would be good but I think there is going to be resisitant at 1.10
from the traders selling... we know it and so do the MMs... however,
looking at the volume yesterday (and today!!!!) Winterfloods soaked
up lots of stock at 1.10... wouldnt surprise me if they move the price up
sharply to flush out the shorts and have a decent chance of offloading
their book at a profit... IMHO DYOR Etc Etc

Big Al - 26 Oct 2004 14:47 - 1049 of 2372

Big hammer now, massive volume, in fact second biggest ever on my chart.

Desperate stakes and no doubt the FBB is nuts. PTH - they are fine entertainment for rainy days. ;-))

As for 150p, who knows. Running a few, but they'd have been gone if it seemed a close below the quid was likely.

gavinwood - 26 Oct 2004 14:48 - 1050 of 2372

Transco - I was in at 63.7, I have bought more today as they are a bargain, and I have no intention of dumping. These are long term AIM holds for me. OK 150 in a fortnight may be over optimistic, but 130 no problem, and longer term that's a drop in the ocean.

transco - 26 Oct 2004 15:21 - 1051 of 2372

Gavinwood,

Well you have your opinion I have mine.
I would warn any new punters to say away from this one.
I still think its a pump & dump exercise going on.

Take care all.

bradley007 - 26 Oct 2004 15:43 - 1052 of 2372

Transco... I can see why you would say that, but if you have been
watching the stock, you will see that there is ample opprtunity
to trade some reasonable profits on the volatility.

95 to 104 today for example.... Unfortunately some of us got
caught napping in the 1.20s oops... my 1.00 trade made up
for some of it.... trading my way out of trouble... hopefully!!

Fred1new - 26 Oct 2004 15:44 - 1053 of 2372

Transco Good luck if you dump. The R+D Fundamentals and contracts all say hold.
Recent look at intraday prices not too bad. It will see 130p again Vshortly.

transco - 26 Oct 2004 15:47 - 1054 of 2372

Bradley I understand what you say but lets face it the vast majority of
short term traders lose money.
I prefer not to get into trouble in the first place without trying to trade out of it.
One must look to the longer term to make serious gains.
This is a volatile stock and new punter should be aware they could lose their shirts!!
Best of luck with your trading I hope it come off!

transco - 26 Oct 2004 15:49 - 1055 of 2372

ps Bradley - take a lok at Protherics if you are into bio.
No massive gains to be had but a very interesting time coming up
with presentations to the city and newsflow.
