seems to be an unusually high concentration of norfolk folk interested in food packaging! im in the fine city too. UEA to be exact. enjoying the SEO ride. not sure, but is this evil knievel from t1ps.com??

dexter01 - 10 Feb 2005 12:31 - 1039 of 27111

Eric,
The figures quoted are`nt mine, it was just a post i got from the other side. Are these machines like the ones that used to be in each supermarket for vacuum packing etc ?, i used to work in one years ago and they did a lot of their own pre-packing. So if it was one for each store we would be looking at a fair sized order, bearing in mind the 35,000 cost per machine, you don`t get a lot for that kind of money these days. So bearing that in mind, i would think that stores would have thier own smaller version and wholesale packing firms a larger one, all IMO.

****************
Deal to be announced on Monday. My broker just heard. Stock is short - just took him 10 mins to get me another 100K

dexter01 - 10 Feb 2005 12:55 - 1042 of 27111

just got this from the other side, from a respected poster this time!

**************************************************
A friend sent me the "Insinger UK Morning Briefing" AND SEO GET A MENTION !!!!

Stanelco Rose after signing a 60-day exclusivity period agreement with Asda for its food sealing technology. The group also raised 4.8m through a placing of 38m shares.

THIS IS BIG, because Insinger are Stockbrokers, their main interest is in the FTSE100, but we ARE NOW being noticed by BIG MONEY people !!!!

The Analysts that recieve this "Morning Briefing" will check the story out, and the MCap, and maybe do a full research on SEO like EVO and KBP Peel Hunt do, and then RECCOMEND Stanelco to THEIR BIG MONEY CLIENTS !!!!

Cheers,
PM

Bones - 10 Feb 2005 13:07 - 1045 of 27111

Dexter, I wouldn't categorise PM (Paul Masterson) as a respected poster. He is a very abusive poster but very attached to SEO. I would take his pronouncements with a bit of care.

Dynamite, r u the same Mrs D I talked to at the MoneyAM do in London at Xmas? Hello, if so!!

wilbs - 10 Feb 2005 13:07 - 1046 of 27111

dexter,
I posted on the seo thread asking what he had to back this up with but surprise surprise, nothing!!
I dont know why they bother.

PM seems to be a good poster but all the derampers and the BPRG holders keep giving him stick.

Supposed leakage of a contract being signed.

Ali Hi,

Same story as an earlier post, do you know why the deal won't be announced until Monday ?

If the deal is done, it cannot be delayed, and MUST be announced to the Stockmarket AS SOON AS IT IS SIGNED ....

Maybe it is not being signed until Monday, that is OK, but the leak BLATANTLY IS NOT !!!!

Cheers,
PM

Bones, PM does his research well on SEO and mostly gets it spot on.

Dynamite
I had the same view about a buying opportunity, just bought in again for the 6 time it was a painful paying 15.14 when my first lot was 4.5. Av now 9.2.

in_front - 10 Feb 2005 14:55 - 1050 of 27111

Contract to be signed monday....hmmm? I hate these type of rumors, they just fuel speculation and come monday we'll all be dissapointed. I'm currently holding, and common sense tells me the contracts will most likely be signed in due time but I'll bet it won't be monday.

wilbs - 10 Feb 2005 15:04 - 1051 of 27111

we had the same kind of rumors in pet and we are still waiting!! Those threads over the road are full of crap, there are a few good posters but they just get slated by the other idiots.

AdieH - 10 Feb 2005 15:04 - 1052 of 27111

Tend to agree in_front, expect the worse then if it happens its a bonus... Not really worried anyway bought in below 10p so happy anyway.

in_front - 10 Feb 2005 15:19 - 1053 of 27111

Tell me about it wilbs, I got burned bad by pet. Looking back I can't believe I got roped into all the bull**** ramping. In a way it was probably the best thing to happen to me. Smartened me up pretty quick. Only 29 but learning fast. Happy to say I made back the 6k I lost in rubbish PET.

wilbs - 10 Feb 2005 15:38 - 1054 of 27111

in_front,
I dont know if you were on the bb's at the time but there was so much hype, certain posters on other bb's claimed that they knew for a fact that pet had 1,2 or all 3 contracts, good deals to be signed next week etc....The potential for pet was huge, the spec on what the sp would go to was as much as 25 in the long term and 5ish in the short/medium term.(correct me if I am wrong dexter). It was one of my first real plays and being a novice and not really knowing the decent posters from the idiots I diddnt know who to belive & I think I can speak for others who got carried away with it all. seo is nothing like pet, its got the products and the backing and hopefuly the contracts round the corner unlike pet who had p@$$ all and still havent.
I have learned from pet and we will soon know when the contracts are signed without some idiots claiming they have contacts who know.
All IMHO,
wilbs

AdieH - 10 Feb 2005 15:42 - 1055 of 27111

Excuse me for being stupid but which contract are we actually talking about or is it even worse that we don't know what contract they are talking about?? Getting a little confused...
