Why are those who were saying yesterday on no news "its going down - get out" not now saying again on no news "its going up - get in" (at the moment anyway)? Something flawed in their simple reasoning?

Lots of penny stocks going up today, the usual quarter end window dressing ?

Snip - 30 Sep 2005 09:34 - 10365 of 27111

as expected. Will now test the 200 ema and possibly several times. Traders will be in here now as there is likely to be some range trading between about 14.75 and 17.75. Keep an eye on the OBV (on balance volume) and watch for divergences ie going the opposite way to the chart. The obv will give a signal either way

Tony

There seems to be no reasoning on here at the moment.

Morning all!

Morning bugz, Hopefully you will be rewarded for holding the line....

qc - 30 Sep 2005 09:59 - 10368 of 27111

15.5p was overpriced yesterday and 16.5p underpriced today. Makes me laugh with no new news!

morning all.
to the idiots .......expressing concerns does not make someone a trader. bbs are about discussing pros and cons, learing from mistakes whether they are your own or other peoples , and , as sd said, finding a better plan. who can say with 100% certainty what the correct plan was with seo , as investors who bought in years ago at 3p have made great gains, as have the traders, all the up and back down again. when a share drops 50% how much do investors gain? hindsight is indeed a wonderful thing and if we are honest , we all know what we should have done. for me, watching the sp retreat from 30p over the last few months plus growing concerns about the lack of any new greenseal orders meant it was time to make a decision, a decision that i constantly kept delaying because i know that seo is news driven and that news could come along at any time, so, about two weeks ago , i went 50-50, sold half , kept half. i've put too much time and effort into seo to watch it all piss away.

Bugz - 30 Sep 2005 11:19 - 10372 of 27111

Fair Play Bosley - but no one is slagging you off as an idoit!

Good to know to still hold a bit. The lack of orders will be a concern of mine in March if there is not much movement on that front. We hold different timeframes ;)

bosley - 30 Sep 2005 11:35 - 10373 of 27111

driver, got your email, reply sent. also , any advice on grouting mosaics cos i made a right piggin' mess yesterday, got to go and re do them.

paulmasterson1 - 30 Sep 2005 11:40 - 10374 of 27111

Bos Hi,

'Investors' don't watch anything but news, they buy with a plan and a target price, they don't get involved in everyday ups 'n downs caused by traders/MM's/shorters/short termers, they don't panic at the move in the S.P, they wait for their target price and timescale to be reached, THEN they sell.

The only reason for selling before then, is if the company no longer looks like fulfilling it's expected growth within that timescale. Stanelco has not changed in that respect for me.

I have my target price, 20, I have my target timescale, 3-5 years, and I only look at price drops, as a way of adding more stock, if I feel the company has more to offer now then when I first invested, Stanelco has changed for the better, with the news of Biotec, Starpol 2000, Carclo Capsules, Pulsline, Frogpack, etc, so I say it's worth adding to my holding, and I have done just that.

What was your origional price target and timescale ????

If your target price was 30p in the timescale since you bought in, you would have done well to sell when the price hit 30p, as it is you seem to have panicked, so how long did you plan to stay in SEO when you bought in, a month ? 6 months ? 1 year, 3 years ?, whatever it was you probably haven't stuck to the plan, if so you have no reason to complain about the S.P drop, and suggest that your profit will 'piss away', when there is loads of time and growth for Stanelco over the next few years, and probably within your origional timescale.

Same goes for a large number of other so called 'investors'.

Cheers,
PM

gem - 30 Sep 2005 12:01 - 10375 of 27111

why do some so called "investors" feel the need to ridicule fellow men who attempt to make some profit on a daily/weekly basis ?, maybe they are the clever ones, not the people who pick a company and say in 3-5 years they will be worth something, any mug can do that.
Nice to see the absentees from yesterday have made it back

Bugz - 30 Sep 2005 12:06 - 10376 of 27111

If any mug can do that everyone would! What a stupid comment......

gem - 30 Sep 2005 12:09 - 10377 of 27111

not everyones a mug

Snip - 30 Sep 2005 12:11 - 10378 of 27111

PM your interpretation of investor should include `blind` and `gullible`

there are day traders, position traders and investors. Clever investors are always mindful of pot preservation and have appropriate stop losses in place. Perhaps you refer to the sheep with small brains, who only follow. Maybe you think of yourself as a sheep leader!!

To any sheep out there: mind the cliff. There is a hard landing at the bottom

paulmasterson1 - 30 Sep 2005 12:17 - 10379 of 27111

Gem Hi,

You still don't get it ??

Investors = LONG TERM

Traders = "make some profit on a daily/weekly basis"

I have seen plenty of mugs pick stock that goes down over 3-5 years, so your talking pish suggesting that everything goes up over that time.

Go read up on WARREN BUFFETT, the MOST SUCCESSFULL INVESTOR EVER, he NEVER sold at a loss, and ALWAYS kept to his origional plan.

Cheers,
PM

Snip Hi,

A hard landing .... at 20 .... that will do me nicely thanks.

I see your STILL trying to talk the price down, but the sheep aren't fiollowing you today .... LOL !!!!

Cheers,
PM

gem - 30 Sep 2005 12:27 - 10381 of 27111

pm, there you go again , reading things that aren`t there, where/when did i say everything goes up over a period of 3-5 years. I`m talking pish ?
