NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.
They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.
does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

I smell a deramper here, who could it be !!
Not the one from AD*** 's NML thread by any chance.
Your young days in exploration didn't teach you anything, like patience, your latter days now are still the same, carry on losing.
Try a tech stock or two, because mining clearly is not your forte.

Not sure about that, but the head of the "committee of 300" officially lives about three miles from you as the crow flies!
You sold AVM then?

all> as most of you already know there are several of us now with over 1/2m shares in nml we have all done our own research and are comfortable that shane and john "the managment" have the experience and knowhow to pull this off big time. from things i have heard and read it all seems too easy diamonds 1m from the surface, The mine start at 10,000 carats a month, for 5-6 months, staging up to full production there after of 20,000 carats a month, capital claimback, equipment bought not leased, badenhorst brothers in charge, directors with massive holdings! need i say more? when we get some publicity which as we are starting mining within the next week should be soon we should start to see some good volume and upward movement, i know a few derampers are trying to drop the price but for what reason? so they can buy cheaper i dont think there`s time for it to drop before we get a diamond strike! dyor! but its got to be worth a punt!

Yes, and intercept, we all know you are in most of them stocks not through choice, ie mana bought at 40%+ over the now shareprice.
You sold a couple at loss, NML one of them, and now realise that you shouldn't of sold NML as the heat turns on.
Sorry, you have no credability here either.

Intercept.
If your not bothered and you don't hold any and you don't wont to buy any and you don't wont to short them, why are you allways on the NML thread?

Intercept,
What bothers me is that you won't say WHY this is a scam!
After all, truth is a defence in a slander suit, as i'm sure you're aware, so if you're right, you don't have to worry.
Otherwise, there seems little point in repeating claims that you can't substantiate here is there?

Intercept,
Well if I can make this much cash being "naive", ignornace is bliss as they say, then long may it continue!
Maybe it's luck?
And the harder I try, the more I study, the "luckier" I become!
And how do you knoe he's "good"? Seen confirmation of his trades? Or do you always believe some guy posting anonymously on a BB?
And as you have never seen my portfolio, you have absolutely no idea how good or bad my trading is! Not everyone feels the need to advertise their positions on a BB.
PS I suck up to nobody, I plough my own furrow

Intercept,
lol, when you can't back up what you say with facts, you can always resort to personal attacks!!!
Is this mining equipment being unloaded in Angola?

Having read through this thread, it would appear that heated debate has moved on towards personal abuse - as this is not accepted on this site, I would ask that discussion is returned to the topic in question and not individuals.
We are happy to allow freedom of speech, but will take action if any further individual abuse is added.
Thank you for your time with this and I hope you all have a good day.
We have today removed a previously banned user and removed their postings.

I have been awat for a few days and have just visited the NML website and read the news of the share issue.
I am a beginner so I would appreciate the views of the more experienced investors on this thread . . .
Question: Would you not have expected NML to have the capital for the Angola project in ADVANCE of starting operations?? Why are they only now starting to raise cash to fund it?
Question: Does the new share issue dilute the value of our existing shares?? After all they are, effectively, breaking the company into smaller pieces.
Can someone enlighten me please?

Has anyone any idea why this share has droppped so suddenly? I can't see any relevant news or other reason to cause that.
Any input will be gratefully received.

Guru, the full results were announced today. They look bad because there are big write offs and hence the stock was marked down. Under the circumstances a 9% drop wasn't bad.
IMHO its cleared the decks ready for the good news from the Angola minestart. The fact that the company is taking the hit of a $6m write off means they are confident.

Thanks, Baughfell. I am a little more confident hearing that. Let's just hope that after the false hopes raised by the announcements of early mining starts. that they really do get some results at the end of the year.

Weekend press coverage
Guardian
"But traders said that shares in New Millennium Resources are expected to head in the opposite direction next week. The company, which is exploring for diamonds in Angola, is understood to have unearthed several impressively large diamonds. The stock closed unchanged at 5.25p."
http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/story/0,3604,1376423,00.html
Also a mention in the times that probably mistakenly refers to gold rather than diamonds
"Australia's New Millenium Resources held steady at 5 1/4p on AIM despite word that it will announce two substantial gold finds in Angola next week."

Angola Project Update:
Continuing exploration in Lapi concession unearths 19.83ct diamond
New Millennium Resources NL (NML), the international diamond mining and
exploration company with projects in Angola and Greenland, today announces that
further exploration of sector 1/5 has yielded continuous diamond finds of
various carats including two large diamonds of 11.67 and 19.83 carats. The
diamonds have been confirmed by an on-site geologist.
Exploration of the Lapi Diamond concession in Angola continues despite heavy wet
weather conditions which are expected to last until the end of February.
Grid pattern "grab pit" sample extractions of sector 1/5 have so far proven to
be viable in content of diamondiferous gravels, yielding continuous diamond
finds of various carats throughout the target area. Exploration of this area is
nearing completion.
Exploration will proceed to neighbouring sector 2/5 and continue through the
targeted area contained within the total 323 square kilometres of the
concession. The established exploration programme will ensure steady and
progressive mining activities, which are scheduled to commence March 2005.

If these diamonds have not been mined do they belong to NML or the Angola government.

aldwick,
I believe they belong to the Angolan Governement, until NML have produced their first parcel of 5000 carats, at which time they will take obtain their mining licence, take ownership, and are able to sell them.
Until that time, they remain under dual key control in NML's possession.
