My shed's full of 'em. Spiders, that is.
I had to sweep them all out to do some work there this afternoon.
Unfortunately it is the season for them little woman, so you can expect
to see some more!

Anybody having problems with their ISP mail servers today?
Tesco's (sp?) has been down all day.

little woman - 28 Jul 2004 21:23 - 10470 of 23498

Back again briefly!

I won't go near spiders, unless they are tiny, like money spiders.
The "squashing" is the choice of my rescuer! (Who doesn't like them either!)

Yes, I'm really enjoying the job, but not the hours! I managed to log into AM
today, but it the company server then asked me for a password etc, to access
the rest of the site, something to do with the virus checker, so I gave up. As
time goes on, things should get easier, I hope.

My ISP mail server is based in Germany. Although I check them before going to
work, I didn't get a few e-mails sent to me last night until this evening. Perhaps its a internet thing?

daves dazzlers - 28 Jul 2004 22:59 - 10471 of 23498

evening all ,hello any body here ?

Socrates - 28 Jul 2004 23:19 - 10472 of 23498

If you want to live and thrive, let the spider stay alive.

It's an old wives tale, I know because it was told to me by an old wife!

Capture the spider and chuck it out into the garden, if you don't we'll be knee deep in flies by Christmas. Let me tell you a story. I found a wee spider on my roses, it was on a branch that had no greenfly on it. So I carefully moved it to a branch that was well infested. Couple of days later, smug looking spider, lots of dead greenfly. RESULT! Now I search the garden for spiders and drape them all over my roses, super organic pest control.

Of course, I do appreciate that it wouldn't work with a spider the size of a dinner plate, but that would be much better between two slices of toast.

Anyone for a burger?

snoball - 28 Jul 2004 23:24 - 10473 of 23498

LOL!

daves dazzlers - 28 Jul 2004 23:25 - 10474 of 23498

allright socs, what sort of burgers do you have ?

Golddog - 28 Jul 2004 23:32 - 10475 of 23498

Spiders! I hate the things. give me flies any day! maybe not.

Well i have been busy making strawberry icecream all day - think i made to much! and i'm afraid the kitchen is a bit of a mess. sorry.

I need a good lye down.

Socrates - 28 Jul 2004 23:38 - 10476 of 23498

DD
I've only got Gnu Burgers at the moment but someone did tell me there are seven burgers in Calais so I might pop over and get some of theirs.

Golddog
Strawberry ice cream! I hope it's better than that celery ice cream you made, that was even worse than the turnip one. Where on earth do you get the recipes from, I mean, salt and vinegar ice cream! Mind you, the Frankfurter sorbe was quite good.

Socrates - 28 Jul 2004 23:41 - 10477 of 23498

OK, that's it. Bedtime calls, I wish you a blue day for tomorrow, night night.

daves dazzlers - 28 Jul 2004 23:43 - 10478 of 23498

that will be allright,as long as its well burn`t,not like that french raw-ness.

Golddog - 28 Jul 2004 23:43 - 10479 of 23498

well you have to experiment with ice-cream i always think! stick a piece of chocolate in it and you cares what flavour it is. I'm sure my sausage and bacon icecream will go down a storm.

niht niht. ?

Golddog - 28 Jul 2004 23:43 - 10480 of 23498

dave, how's the holiday going?

MightyMicro - 28 Jul 2004 23:58 - 10481 of 23498

Socs,

Not many people know this, but Rodin's Burghers of Calais grace the quadrangle of Stanford Univeristy in Palo Alto, California.

I don't think they're edible though, with or without ketchup.

chocolat - 29 Jul 2004 01:15 - 10482 of 23498

Time for a quickie then...with or without ketchup

daves dazzlers - 29 Jul 2004 01:26 - 10483 of 23498

loadsadosh - 29 Jul 2004 02:08 - 10486 of 23498

I got this pricking feeling between my shoulder blades, almost as though someone was watching, and when you get to my age you become cautious, and indecisive.

chocolat - 29 Jul 2004 02:12 - 10487 of 23498
