How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Peter...I have an uncanny knack of being lucky...Arsenal are now 2.88 or in Latin 15/8...I am showing a substantial profit with a bet still running for almost free... and taking into account my Liverpool punts...btw thank you Liverpool...the joys of being a lucky thicko!

Dil...I see you need a little education....first point I am not a gambler I am a Bookmaker...this is the definition of a gambler...take a risk in the hope of a favourable outcome
Let me give you an example...Spurs are in vogue so we will use them as an example... Spurs had secured only two points from the first eight games a couple of seasons ago...Harry came along and was blasted by everyone...Im sure Flasher will back me up lol...

Good morning all>
"As we start a new season with the usual high expectationsI thought it would be interesting to breeze through some of last seasons postsI did not realise I was so severely blasted for predicting Harry would sign Defoe.or Defoe would be proved our best goalscorer.or Spurs would finish well above Pompeyand go onto far better things under Harry even though they sat at the bottom with just a couple of pointsmaybe when I said Harry is the best English Manager about"
Yes Dil I did have it off on Spurs with Betfair...
Now let me defend the horse selections you claim are crap...show me a post where I ever give tips?...I have always stated selection are for value only...to be traded...most races I have traded down and get a run for free...if it wins...bonus time...my selections based on value have been fantastic...my records show this as fact...Dil...I am not a financial advisor...I am not a tipster... although my record on AM is exceptional...even though I dont like sharing my hard work/play with lazy gits...you are a good accountant...stick with that!

A heating engineer from North Devon has won 1.45m on an accumulator, after placing an original bet of just 2
Steve Whiteley, 61, from North Tawton, hit the jackpot at a meeting at Exeter racecourse, which he had attended on a free promotion. Mr Whiteley said he was "not a horse racing man" and only went once or twice a year. The final horse of his six-race accumulator, Lupita, ridden by Jessica Lodge, won at odds of 12-1.
He said: "The most exciting bit was after the fourth race when my mate said only seven people in the whole country were still in it."I couldn't watch the last race, "I'm shaking like a leaf, I can't believe it."
He said he selected his horses at random: "It's difficult to say how I came up with them."The first few selections I had two in each race and that was going to cost 32 so I scrapped that. "Why did I pick the last one? Lodge is just a name that sticks in my head. "I'm not a horse racing man, I only go once or twice a year. "I'm a heating engineer - well I was."
Jayne Amor, racing manager from Exeter's Tote, said: "The excitement at the racecourse was unbelievable."When we realised it was one ticket it was so exciting, the whole of the Tote has been cheering him on. "He came to us after four races to check if he had been reading his ticket correctly."His money will be in the bank tomorrow morning."
At 1,445,671.71 Mr Whiteley's winning dividend was the largest in the history of the Tote Jackpot, where punters are required to correctly predict six winners on a card.
The winning horses at Exeter were Semi Colon (2-1), Black Phantom (12-1), Ammunition (16-1), Mr Bennett (16-1), Lundy Sky (5-1) and Lupita (12-1).
Lupita had not won in its last 26 races and the race at Exeter was jockey Jessica Lodge's first winning ride.
Asked what he would do with his winnings, Mr Whiteley said: "We're going on holiday a week on Friday.
"We were going to fly cattle class but we might upgrade now."
