Will only cover stocks bought in the present month the last thread was getting too big and weighted down by one argument on one company. seperate threads are set up for each company from the old thread.
Buys this Month.
Telecolm Plus Results due Friday and has made an excelent start as a new buy. Now through the important 350p resistance barrier.
Sci Entertainment Another company which has an update coming and is up on the buy price. Latest trading update mentioned sales well above budget.
Bema Gold A little gem of a gold miner and has surged on the back of the increasing POG, star of the Month.
Thistle Mining A speculative punt and one which leapt 41% in one day on back of new drilling results. I lopped the top of this one when increase from buy was circa 34%. Rest left in as a gamble on POG.
Caldwell Investments Nothing Spectacular here but still up on buy price. If its good enough for Jim Slater and Evil Knievil, its good enough for me.
CardPoint Latest buy and just ahead of buy price. Been tipped by the Red Hot Penny Shares and also Citywire.
Stocks On The Watch List
Wolfeson Micro, Radstone Technology, Proteome Sciences, Fulcrum Pharma, Severfield Rowen, Deltex medical, M L Labs, NAP - Porvair.
Any comments on the portfolio welcome.
cheers GF.

A nasty little drop for Telecolm Plus today, I suppose it was going to happen after the CEO had sold stock and one paper said it was time for taking some profits. I still beleive the price will in the medium term move northwards.
Bioprogress had a good day on heavy volumes and I am now waiting for more contact news to push this one very much higher.
cheers GF.
ps, nchipher still looking very cheap indeed.

TSG, its come out with some much upgraded deposits this morning hasnt it?.
Have given it the once over but not sure its in the same class as African Eagle which could move on to be MASSIVE. Its all a matter of speculation with most explorers in the early days.

gold
what was your conclusions for LUPUS my analysis goes like this worth
12p upwards if get taken over by the ex tomkins chap and used to set up deals and bigger group or they are broken up with major asset worth more than 10p
so where is the downside ???

I agree gordon, I especially like the oil coupling business the gem in any break up value. Your estimates of 12p seem very conservative to me, although this talk of action before xmas maybe premature. Usualy is in any corporate action that usually tends to pan out.

Nice to see Telecolm Plus rebound today and not so pleasing to see Bema Gold take a tonking, but having said that Bema was following POG when it dropped.

An excelent set of results from Centurion this morning showing fantastic growth in the last year and going forward when the majority of companies in this field have been hit by industry worries and slow down. The future looks very bright.
Looking around the other shares I hold I think selling Service Power was the correct thing to do at the time yesterday, I will be keeping them on the radar though as some of the statement was very pleasing indeed.
The Gold shares are down reflecting the sector trend in the US where miners have been down for two straight days now.
T T Electronics is up again and seems to have been a good buy so far fingers crossed.
cheers GF.

GF
I hope you don't mind me asking but what do you think is causing
Bioprogress' share price to fall? Trades show way more buys than sells.
Thanks in advance

The other day you said mm's would want their bonuses by raising prices gf.
Bit of a contridiction I think, or perhaps you post whatever suits you at the time me thinks.
Good results (up 229%) by Britannia don't you think?
Thought you mighjt have it as a short in your list.

Btw I keep giving you these tips that upset you gf, you know buy Cape @ 23p sell at 63p, buy Britannia @ 9p....up 174% & 300% respectively.
Well here's another for you Spectrum on Ofex a great recovery stock. Currently circa 20p....well worth checking out.

Contrary to what a lot of people think Sooze, Market makers make their money through TURNOVER wether it be Buys or Sells or a combination of both. The inexperienced punter comes into the market place feeling that the normal Economic laws of Supply and Demand dominate, at times nothing could be further from the truth. But beware of a tank up in prices usually in the 10 days before the year end, bonuses are at the back of some City employees minds and we usually get an xmas hike drawing in buyers.
cheers goldfinger.
ps, I have no time for the illiquid market of ofex, I do hear there though anything goes to suit the one market maker. Best left alone unless you only want to punt 150 quid a time. Not worth getting out of bed for in my opinion.

That's strange I bought 140,000 Britannia on Ofex @ 10.1p in several deals, all cost a lot more than 150, guess these people who call themselves experts must be deluding themselves.
A good time to be in Ofex at the moment before the crowd as it should have 5 market makers in 2004, including Winterfloods making markets in all stocks.
Happy to add some balance to your comments.

Director Buying going on at TT Electronics.
TT bosses celebrate buy with buys
By Graeme Davies, Companies Correspondent
Email to a friend
Two top directors have shown their faith in Citywire tip TT Electronics following its acquisition of an American electronic sensor company on Friday.
Executive chairman John Newman spent 124,200 on Friday to add 100,000 shares to his holding at 124.2p per share. However this is barely a drop in the ocean compared with his total holding of 16.2 million shares or 10.5% of the 193 million company (TTG).
Joining Newman was Neil Rodgers, the chief executive-elect who joined the board in September. Rodgers, who was previously a divisional chief executive, spent a more modest 12,200 for his first 10,000 shares at 122p each. Rodgers will replace chief executive Sheridan Comonte in April.
Shares in TT have risen 1.5p to 126.5p today in response to the confidence shown by the top brass. Earlier this year it dipped as low as 80p but has since bounced to 139p. Citywire tipped it more than a year ago at 116p and reiterated the advice at 96p in January.
A prime reason for Citywire's confidence was the healthy dividend yield, which stands at 8% and although it is not covered by earnings Newman told Citywire on Friday the board intends to honour it.
Concern was raised that the 30 million TT spent on US electronic sensor company Optek Technology would eat into the funds available for dividend payments. Newman said: It is not changing our thinking on our dividend payment.'
Hopefully for TT investors trading will start to improve to complement the extra revenue brought in by Optek and on Friday Newman told Citywire: 'I'm now saying there is an upturn in orders and I think it is sustainable.' Last year Optek made sales of 40.4 million in the year to the end of January 2003 and a profit of 2.4 million.

See Bema thread refering to new gold and diamond s find.
Well what an awfull day. Posting well down on this board and also other boards in general. A sea of red on my watch list screen. Never mind the Big Market Push Starts Tomorrow and goes on until the new year. There will be low volumes but higher prices. I have great faith. Sees you in the morning.

Gf,
Some of the AIM stocks that have had such a good run all seem to be treading water or turning downwards.
Maybe the good times are over for AIM this year at least?
I only feel confident about gold stocks at the moment, and even they are retracing, although after such a run I guess that was inevitable.
Thirdeye,
When these new MM's are dealing in the Ofex, are we going to see online trading via the main online brokers in your opinion?
Once their is real competition and online trading, Ofex will gain critical mass, and at last have proper liquidity in my opinion.

Aimtrader, watch Centurion Electronics fly in the morning. I think starting in the morning we will be on for an aim xmas rush.
I hope that the new ofex is a success as I mostly invest in small shares, but I do hope they allow shorting and spread betting and other investment tools as Aim does now. Lets face it I dont give a damd which market I trade on as long as I get a fair deal after all its the company you are taking a stake in not the market.
cheers GF.
