People got in to early on this one, but now is the time to buy and at a cheap price too 1.75p, read the RNS
* Eurocopter flight trials successfully completed
* Additional German & US military purchases
* Additional working capital secured
SCOTTY Group plc, announces today that Eurocopter Deutschland ("Eurocopter"),
part of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company ("EADS"), has
confirmed that the official flight trials of its military helicopters which
contain SCOTTY's CH 53 SATCOM Mission equipment have passed successfully.
During the trials, the equipment was demonstrated to officials from the German
Army. SCOTTY has received positive feedback from the Ministry officials that
attended and can confirm that the project now enters a new phase in which every
effort is being made to speed up the procurement process necessary to finalise
the project and implement delivery.
In order to fund the additional working capital and costs incurred during the 6
week delay to the flight trials for the CH 53 programme, SCOTTY has secured a
convertible loan of #400,000 through a new facility provided by Headstart, with
the possibility for another #400,000 above that. SCOTTY's directors believe that
this facility could be repaid within the 60-day term of the loan if the delivery
programme with Eurocopter proceeds as they anticipate.
In addition to the Eurocopter project, SCOTTY expects to receive over #2 million
before the calendar year-end from the implementation and delivery of a number of
orders previously announced.
These also include the delivery of Euro720,000 worth of equipment including SCOTTY
Mobile Systems, SATCOM equipment and Telemedicine units to the German army in
this quarter. In addition, SCOTTY confirms that the US Army has deployed three
disaster co-ordination teams equipped with SCOTTY's video teleconferencing
equipment to the Gulf Coast states, which were affected by Hurricane Katrina.
Chief of Staff for the First U.S. Army, Col. James Hickey said: "Satellite
communications are often critical in a hurricane's aftermath. One of the things
we learned last year with the series of hurricanes that passed through Florida
was the need for satellite communications,"
"This storm will likely take out some key communications nodes, and cell phones
and landlines may not work for some time," he added.

Although welcome news for share holders, the real money was to be made if bought early december, to buy now and beat the spread i'm not certain there will be fantastic gains to be made... do we have any details of expected figure for size of the order, dont forget share price has been diluted from last year when they announced eurocopter deal...

Scotty Group PLC
30 January 2008
SCOTTY Group PLC
('SCOTTY' or 'The Company')
SCOTTY Receives 3.2million Order
from Diamond Airborne Sensing GmbH ('Diamond')
Breakthrough Contract Win for Strategic Partnership
SCOTTY Group plc is pleased to announce that it has received an order for six
SCOTTY high tech mission gear solutions from Diamond for installation in
aircraft ordered by the Venezuelan Government. The systems will be integrated in
the DA42 Multi Purpose Platform aircraft and represent the first major award for
SCOTTY's strategic partnership with Diamond.
The contract has a value of 3.2million to SCOTTY, whilst an additional package
for training and maintenance is currently being negotiated. Integration of the
systems will start immediately with delivery of the aircraft scheduled for
summer this year. The aircraft are to be used for law enforcement purposes.
The SCOTTY mission gear allows 'live video' transmission of daylight and thermal
images generated by onboard Polytech Cobalt 350 turret cameras via a dial-up
satellite link. It can also simultaneously provide onboard video recording (and
preprocessing) in high resolution MPEG4 format. These 'video files' can be
downlinked to the SCOTTY ground station equipment with the integrated SCOTTY
'Store & Forward' application.
This high-tech equipment in combination with the fixed-wing DA42 MPP offers a
number of advantages, such as low operating costs, long endurance and quiet
operation that are of great appeal in comparison to the traditional platforms
often deployed for law enforcement missions.
Rt Hon The Lord Trefgarne PC, Chairman of SCOTTY, stated 'We have been doing
some outstanding work with Diamond to create a one stop shop package which could
revolutionise the surveillance capabilities of law enforcement agencies. This
contract is a vindication of that effort and I am confident that this will prove
to be the first of many similar contracts.'

The selling has somewhat depressed the price this morning, but with the uptrend firrmly in place I expect it to continue climbing over the forseeable future. I wonder if company has any plans for share consolidation?

now you have blinkers on... sorry but the RNS release was the time to sell... heard exactly the same thing a year ago when they won a bigger contract with Eurocopter, they will need a further sizeable contract soon, to push sp considerably further ahead...

Funnily enough, a friend of mine just sold some two weeks ago after holding them for about a year, at a loss. Hey presto after all that time they decide to rocket... I did say things were looking up, but i think after seeing them drop to 0.7p he was happy enough with 1.2p... sod's law, i do believe...!

FYI...
"Notable increase in Scotty Group (SCO) was reported by Saturdays Independent, on market rumours of a major contract win. The momentum appeared to spill over into this week, as the shares rose by a further 0.075p to reach 2.075p."
