Bioprogress (BPRG)

scorpion - 13 Aug 2003 13:54

Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

gavinwood - 26 Oct 2004 14:48 - 1050 of 2372

Transco - I was in at 63.7, I have bought more today as they are a bargain, and I have no intention of dumping. These are long term AIM holds for me. OK 150 in a fortnight may be over optimistic, but 130 no problem, and longer term that's a drop in the ocean.

transco - 26 Oct 2004 15:21 - 1051 of 2372

Gavinwood,

Well you have your opinion I have mine.
I would warn any new punters to say away from this one.
I still think its a pump & dump exercise going on.

Take care all.

bradley007 - 26 Oct 2004 15:43 - 1052 of 2372

Transco... I can see why you would say that, but if you have been
watching the stock, you will see that there is ample opprtunity
to trade some reasonable profits on the volatility.

95 to 104 today for example.... Unfortunately some of us got
caught napping in the 1.20s oops... my 1.00 trade made up
for some of it.... trading my way out of trouble... hopefully!!

Fred1new - 26 Oct 2004 15:44 - 1053 of 2372

Transco Good luck if you dump. The R+D Fundamentals and contracts all say hold.
Recent look at intraday prices not too bad. It will see 130p again Vshortly.

transco - 26 Oct 2004 15:47 - 1054 of 2372

Bradley I understand what you say but lets face it the vast majority of
short term traders lose money.
I prefer not to get into trouble in the first place without trying to trade out of it.
One must look to the longer term to make serious gains.
This is a volatile stock and new punter should be aware they could lose their shirts!!
Best of luck with your trading I hope it come off!

transco - 26 Oct 2004 15:49 - 1055 of 2372

ps Bradley - take a lok at Protherics if you are into bio.
No massive gains to be had but a very interesting time coming up
with presentations to the city and newsflow.

gavinwood - 26 Oct 2004 15:57 - 1056 of 2372

Not trying to pump Protherics are you Transco?

bradley007 - 26 Oct 2004 16:15 - 1057 of 2372

Transco.. lets face it the markets are a game anyway..
a stock like BPRG is fun and profitable if you run a
good strategy... I am losing now but have made far
more in this stock than I have lost... and on most
of my trading stock..

Long termers are PDX(45p), MPH(20p), Hardy Amies(6p)
among the tidlers and a few boring old blue chips.
so i am allowed a little fun in BPRG among others ;-)

"The R+D Fundamentals and contracts all say hold."

Go and have a look at the R&D and contracts won over the last few years by Baltimore and Imagination Technolgy to name just two !

Until the real revenues and real profits start flowing then they haven't got any fundamentals worth talking about.

By the time they are ready to start selling volumes worth talking about who is to say that their technology will not have been superceded.

As for contracts , anyone know the terms , prices agreed , quality control costs ????

Trade what you see and stop gambling on what ifs imo.

Good luck.

emailpat - 26 Oct 2004 22:09 - 1060 of 2372

Dil-i'm sure many will heed your advice after today :)

Dil - 26 Oct 2004 22:29 - 1061 of 2372

lets hope not , its the masses of silly b*ggers in this that the few are making money from

Bones - 26 Oct 2004 22:57 - 1062 of 2372

You should be in the clergy, Dil. Clearly the plight of the poor is of great concern to you....... :)

Please be aware that some people are making money from holding these shares bought for reasons available long before this became a rampers share.

Also, Baltimore became a 4BN company at its height. BPRG is 100M. Peanuts my Welsh friend, peanuts. The fact is Baltimore may well have been overvalued when it was worth 100M but it still became worth 4BN.

I don't see how you can say this share has peaked. End of story. As you say, fundamentals may well have nothing to do with it. It is the "potential" for the fundamentals in the future that drives the price of shares. What you think of it now is irrelevant and that is where Cat and his friends are flawed in their thinking. By all means trade it but don't pretend you have a privileged insight into its future market capitalisation.

Just my opinion you understand :)

I added a few, on the 'welcome dip to top up' today ;)

Dil - 26 Oct 2004 23:12 - 1064 of 2372

Bless you my son :-)

Dil - 26 Oct 2004 23:14 - 1065 of 2372

Jumpin , I'm not questioning you but every time they fall everyone "tops up" but no one ever sells , funny that.

daves dazzlers - 26 Oct 2004 23:20 - 1066 of 2372

Still watching from the sideline but its looking good.

Bones - 26 Oct 2004 23:33 - 1067 of 2372

DD - Your target of 1 presented on a plate. Where is your conviction my son? (apart from the 5 years for burglary) :)

Dil - thank you, I am cleansed.....

emailpat - 26 Oct 2004 23:39 - 1068 of 2372
