Planestation (Ex Wiggins Group plc) (PTG)

Socrates - 10 Jan 2004 10:34

Time now for all us Wiggins watchers to move with the times and start using Planestation, the new company identity. The name Wiggins Group plc has now disappeared from the database at Companies House and Planestation is now listed on the LSE website.

So fellow travellers, forget Wiggins, the name of the game is now PLANESTATION. Lets hope it goes like an express train.

April figures from EUjet should be out soon.

StarFrog - 26 May 2005 11:35 - 1056 of 1086

What is going on with this company? The sale of the International Garden Festival Site in Liverpool is still going ahead and will net the company 10.8 million at the start of June.

Institutions are also increasing their stock.

Over the last few weeks Goldman Sachs have increased their stake from 5.19% (13 Apr) to 6.53% (21 Apr) to 8.14% (11 May) and finaly up to 10.15% (23 May).

Artemis have also been active here, increasing their stake from 5.84% up to 9.67%.

And Newstar Asset Management are also on board, increasing their stake from 7.06% to 10.69%.

This all happening when other institutions are closing a lot of their positions in the AIM and midcap markets. So why is the sp still going in the wrong direction?

tipton11 - 26 May 2005 17:18 - 1057 of 1086

Star

I think you have missread the Artimus figures ie, todays post 26/5 shows a total holding of 16,164,888 against the posting 44,123,659 on 13/5 that is falling to 3.54% against 9.67% on 13/5...Artimus appear to be bailing out while Goldman Sacks [owing to the closeness of their postings] appear to be buying up some of these shares...what can we ordinary mortals make of it I do not know...

Meantime the price continues to fall and like others I have a few ahares left which I have writen off...I am sure there is value here but who will harvest it?...ptg has been brought to its knees by a vicious group of derampers who continue to plague it on another BB...the unique concept of drome and airline must be right.

jeffmack - 26 May 2005 21:58 - 1058 of 1086

Dont blame the companies demise on derampers, blame it on the past mananagement

Socrates - 31 May 2005 20:47 - 1059 of 1086

Next few days could be interesting. Artemis have been steadily divesting themselves of PTG shares. On 26-May-05 they announced their holding as 18M shares. Two sales today, probably Artemis, totalling 12M. That would leave just 6M overhang so it will be interesting to see where the price goes after that, they might even clear that tomorrow.

4.9M received from Liverpool too.

g12, long time since I`ve posted, since I lost 10`s of 1000s on these. There is more chance of you being struck by lightning in a coalmine than BA buying KIA or PTG!! My optimism for this outfit was `kicked` out of me over last 6 - 9 months, but price now doesn`t even warrant selling so maybe best to hold!!

ethel - 01 Jul 2005 17:47 - 1067 of 1086

Yea,agreed. What a mess they've made of things.Chaotic management changing all the time.Good assets undeveloped etc.I bought at 22p on a great reference from someone on Bloomberg,I think!
My shares worth nothing now,but have felt the need to experience the steady decline in sp during recent years.Everyone has to have the TOTALLY AWFUL SHARE in their "portfolio" and THIS IS MINE!!!
What do you think their remaining assets are worth?
Is the sp being driven to the ground so that some vultures can pick up any tasty morsels left.I feel an "adieu" coming on.
LOL Ethel

snakey - 01 Jul 2005 18:30 - 1068 of 1086

I think that is about the mark ! and who might be available to come in and pick up very cheap pieces ?? Mr Iny possibly ??

Golfclub12 - 14 Jul 2005 08:15 - 1069 of 1086

British airways!

Up 20%, what a strange day

hangon - 18 Jul 2005 17:03 - 1071 of 1086

It's difficult to undrstand why this business isn't doing better. THe EUjet was a costly purchase, but maybe they couldn't get passengers any other way (being in the styx) still the price shareholders paid they could have flown every passenger by ryanair and still shown a difference. Management really do need to find someone that has ideas - can you imagine Richard Branson leaving one of UK's under-used (long) runways close to idle? Neither can I.
Maybe they should bung the Government a cool 5 million and get 50million road-rail improvement - that would start to get other carriers interested. Without more passengers I can't see this one going places.
Logically it is a better alternative to continued Heathrow expansion, being situated at a decent distance from London - for the time-being, tourists could do some towns on the south coast, walk the downs, ride the Bluebell Railway (ah the steam!) and then take a slow sleeper to London for an early breakfast, in time for Horseguards' Parade.

Planestation Group says not aware of reason for share price increase
AFX

LONDON (AFX) - Planestation Group PLC said it is not aware of any reason for the recent increase in its share price.

In a statement, the company said as announced last month, it is continuing to negotiate the sale of certain assets to fund the expected shortfall in the cash requirements of EUjet.
