...........but we all know that there will be further announcements - cos howard White said so in his last communique.
Almost certainly we will get something over next few days, but definitely before the conference in Phili - but its anyones guess as to the content - although they must be fairly confident themselves - otherwise they would not have pre announced it.

Bos Hi,
You say "pm1, while i agree with you that cig butts are a litter problem, to try to state that tobacco companies actually give a shit about the health of people is a joke. i cannot see the ip going for much, if only because one is patent pending. but, as always, nobody really knows how much the ip will go for. might as well wait until some are announced."
As biscuit said, it's the cost saving that makes it worth millions, read my posts again, because I have posted that Celenese, the biggest in the world for Cellulose Acetate, are LOSING MONEY on producing it, they need that cost saving, so they can turn a profit, and if they (the biggest producer !) aren't making a profit, that means you can assume all other producers are not making any profit on it either.
Cheers,
PM

shamona,
You say if the ip was worth anything they would'nt get rid of it. Everything has its price, its as simple as that.

Greekman Hi,
Sham still talking bollocks I see.
Trying to spin the facts again, when anyone reading the announcement KNOWS that the IP is being sold because Stanelco an SP Metals do not want to be involved in the tobacco/cigarette industry, and that Biotec created the products and technologies starting way back in 1998, well before Stanelco and SP Metals got involved, and now that they are involved, the direction for biotec is PACKAGING, not smoking related products.
Cheers,
PM

According to Evo they are still going to want a royalty on the patent.

I bet we never hear about the filter ever again, why was it never marketed by the previous owners?
This company is all smoke and mirrors with EVO playing their part in the whole corrupt spin, each to their own I suppose and it's not my money going down the drain.

paul, if as you stated, the ip is worth 75 million, and that this ip has been around for a few years, why didn't bats, glh or imt buy biotec for the 25million sp metals and seo paid for it?

Masterson
Since you went on about the golden cross for weeks when it happened here could you now describe in the same detail the signifigance of the death cross which is fast approaching?
I'm assuming that you do comment on some things not positive in the interests of balance and fairness, since it's going to 20 a share anyway it won't do any harm.
He reads all my posts but claims i'm filtered but to allow hin to answer without appearing to be a berk could someone cut n paste the question so he can answer please.

LOL Bosley, superb question, why didn't the previous owners sell it before seo came along as well?

They probably weren't even aware the technology existed as Biotec weren't looking to commercialise it I don't beleive and a simple point of why would they want to, as long as the public weren't aware either they wouldn't need to.

Its pointless speculating about this - someone will buy it for what its worth. If there is lots of interest - then we will get a good price, if the tobacco industry does not give a toss - then it will be practically worthless - and lets not forget it still needs to be developed, licenced and taken to market.
The option for SEO to develope it themselves is not a realistic one - at least in the short term as this is not low hanging fruit - there are lots of other low hanging branches bearing fruit that will be harvested much quicker and with less effort, cost and management attention than this. I think it is a shrewd play by SEO to find out the level of interest and to keep their management attention on the other higher priorites.
Of course - the mere fact that they have offered the patents for sale - does not commit them to a sale if there is a massive interest.
Let the management team do their job - and time will tell if this has any value at all.

let's cut the speculation.

qc these are exponential moving averages ie they are weighted to recent price movements ie they are more relevant to a current situation. I use them all the time. If I could draw on these charts then I would put more data in but I am afraid it would only strengthen the `dead cross` picture which appears to be unfolding
