THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Well, we maintained our 7 game unbeaten record by the simple expediant of making sure it was pi55ing it down all day!!!
Not much fun but some points in the bag where we thought we would lose and not get any.
So not a bad result, all things considered.
Official result - a draw. So you will all get your stake money back from Ladbrokes.

Saturday again. Cricket again.
But this time the football season has started, so the team will be severely understrength, and our glorious run must surely come to an end today. Even the rain won't help us this week.
I'll update myself on the result later!!!!!

Go on Alan , hit it !!!!!!!!!!!

hewittalan6 - 20 Aug 2005 22:25 - 1067 of 81564

Missed the bloody thing!!!
Thats it. As predicted, we got well and truly stuffed. Started with 10 men and were down to 9 by the second over, and one of them was playing with a recently broken arm. Too much of an embarrasment to publish the exact result, but we were well beaten about 30 mins after we started!!!
Holiday time now. Setting off Monday morning for a week in Holland, to keep us going till our main hols, so look after my fave shares for me and I'll be back with armfulls of memories and experiences and suitcases full of pot. I'm taking orders via post, addressed to Millgarth Police Station, Leeds.
See you all after the bank holiday.

Got a bit of a scare last night ,,came home late and opened my drawer in the bedroom ,,looking back at me was what i first took to be Joe Frazier , ,then i realised it was a Spider on steriods, I'm talking BIG , i tried to kill it with a ladel ,but it beat me up,, then i got the hoover,,pulled out the drawers and saw it at the back of the unit ,so i tried to hoover it, but it ran ,,i then spent an hour moving furniture looking for it (i was willing to fight i'm no coward) but alas it was no where, ,so i have had to sleep all night knowing it was there and still is ,,now what do i do ,,,call in the SAS ,,i'm thinking of moving,,or maybe inviting some of the local cats in for the day..How do you trap a missing Spider that weighs 16 stone!!............
