Plateman,

If it's light green / dark green, it means you need to go to SpecSavers FlossieShop, because you're probably colour blind.

:o)

Thanks for that Hilary, I have been warned before that if I didn't change my ways I might go blind. :>)

While the dollar has pretty much been one-way traffic in recent weeks, the dollar index indicates perhaps were reaching levels where som much needed consolidation will set it. Overnight, the index fell through the December lows but were unable to sustain the losses. The 61.8% retracement of the entire rally from July until March comes in just below overnight lows. Perhaps there is some hope for the greenback after all

Can't get Forexlive this morning - anyone else with the same problem? They were changing servers last night, so suspect something's broken there.

I suppose it was always going to happen. Some pratt/ or pratts put a rumour around that UK Prime Minister Brown had resigned and cable falls out of bed to a session low 1.6089. Its subsequently recovered to 1.6215 with the the PMs office calling the rumours absolute nonsense Whod be a cable trader. Pure craziness.

Well, whoever it was, I'd like to thank them. :-)

MightyMicro - 04 Jun 2009 14:16 - 10676 of 11056

Of course the Cable behaviour is crazy, SC. Surely it should have strengthened on the rumour and weakened on its denial ;-)

hilary - 04 Jun 2009 14:32 - 10677 of 11056

And there I was, thinking it was all in the charts anyway ........

:o)

PS. DelBoy, I don't suppose your engineers have looked at that little thing I asked about the other day? If I'm going to buy it, I might as well spend the money now while I can still get some bucks for my bangers.

Spaceman - 04 Jun 2009 19:17 - 10678 of 11056

Um got a bit of a slapping on cable and eur/gbp today. still its all part of the fun.

goforit - 05 Jun 2009 09:21 - 10679 of 11056

anyone trade tic charts on forex?

hilary - 05 Jun 2009 09:26 - 10680 of 11056

I hope they'll be a feature of MT5 later this year, Gofe, but I don't know as it may involve storing a lot more data.

It would be good imo as you could then build candlesticks of, say, 25 ticks which aren't limited by time constraints and can give a false picture sometimes.

goforit - 05 Jun 2009 10:35 - 10681 of 11056

hils, presumably they got the info in there already as you've got the mfi indicator, have just started using 300 and 900 tics and am finding it alot easier to read the chart when theres volume going through the market.

Spaceman - 10 Jun 2009 10:35 - 10682 of 11056

Very quiet here these days, every one gone to very wide sl and longer term trades like me?
