European Diamonds says drill samples produce significant diamonds at Lahtojoki

LONDON (AFX) - European Diamonds PLC said caustic fusion analysis of the
first 500 kgs of kimberlite from a 1.8 tonne drill sample taken from the
company's two hectare Lahtojoki Pipe project in Finland has produced a
"significant" number of diamonds.

The maximum diamond count recovered from 51 samples analysed to date by
Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc indicates a normalised maximum recovery rate of
1,313 stones per tonne from what appear to be two distinct populations of
diamondiferous kimberlite.

The company said that whilst the size of the sample analysed is too small to
allow for any meaningful grade projections, these early results are very
encouraging and give support to the results of previous drill sampling of the
pipe, which reported grades of up to 0.45 cts/t.

Currently up 1.5p - more would be nice...Thanks for posting JJ, so this
one looks worth hanging onto, with the idea it will gain momentum - what
do you think?
