Thanks Spaceman. Doing very small trades at the moment to test the waters.

Hesitant long cable 1.6444.....

hilary - 12 Jun 2009 11:19 - 10713 of 11056

I can't help but feel that you guys might be being a bit premature with those cable longs this morning. I'm sure that it will go up at some stage, but there's a risk you might end up like the PartyToast advert if you're not careful.

klal - 12 Jun 2009 11:23 - 10714 of 11056

Hills, I'm only scalping....no guts yet for long-ish trades.

EDIT: Hope to exit at 1.6480-ish.

klal - 12 Jun 2009 11:40 - 10715 of 11056

Chickened out of the long - closed for a mere 15 pips :-(

Spaceman - 12 Jun 2009 12:01 - 10716 of 11056

Hils I think your probably right, I was tempted to short cable this morning short term but I haven't opened any new trades for several days.

Currently long cable and short EG , cable is near my stop but well in profit.

Oops I am short EG not EU now edited.

hilary - 12 Jun 2009 12:27 - 10717 of 11056

Chill pill time, Spacie. Don't neglect the Barclays/Blackrock M&A flows.

klal - 12 Jun 2009 12:29 - 10718 of 11056

Got a short signal at 1.6467. Took the trade, grabbed about 20 pips! :-) Could've stayed short a bit longer though.

amardev - 12 Jun 2009 12:41 - 10719 of 11056

Your signals seem to br doing well at the moment ..............

Are they the same as foe FTSE

regards
Amar

Seymour Clearly - 12 Jun 2009 12:43 - 10720 of 11056

Hmm, also had a cheeky little cable short for 36. Was watching the Loonie which was going up and continues to rise. Lunchtime now.

klal - 12 Jun 2009 12:54 - 10721 of 11056

Amar, nope. The system for FX is different. Developed it based on an idea I got from some professionals (sorry, not at liberty to say who).

I see now the signal was superb and had I stayed with the short longer, I would have bagged at least 70 pips in about 30 mins. Need to be a bit more trusting of my own system!

klal - 12 Jun 2009 13:02 - 10722 of 11056

There was a buy signal at 1.6397...watching, not trading it.

Spaceman - 12 Jun 2009 13:05 - 10723 of 11056

As expected stopped out of cable however I am starting to enjoy this l small bet large stop method of trading, it definitely works better for me. No new trades for me today and I may close EG before market closes for the weekend.

Have a good weekend.
