Hmm, also had a cheeky little cable short for 36. Was watching the Loonie which was going up and continues to rise. Lunchtime now.

klal - 12 Jun 2009 12:54 - 10721 of 11056

Amar, nope. The system for FX is different. Developed it based on an idea I got from some professionals (sorry, not at liberty to say who).

I see now the signal was superb and had I stayed with the short longer, I would have bagged at least 70 pips in about 30 mins. Need to be a bit more trusting of my own system!

klal - 12 Jun 2009 13:02 - 10722 of 11056

There was a buy signal at 1.6397...watching, not trading it.

Spaceman - 12 Jun 2009 13:05 - 10723 of 11056

As expected stopped out of cable however I am starting to enjoy this l small bet large stop method of trading, it definitely works better for me. No new trades for me today and I may close EG before market closes for the weekend.

Have a good weekend.

What lovely tradable waves on cable! I ought to have my head examined for having bothered with FTSE so long.

Sue 42 - 12 Jun 2009 14:41 - 10725 of 11056

Double top?

What happens after a double top?

Spaceman - 12 Jun 2009 16:15 - 10726 of 11056

I lied could not resist a quick long for +25 long on cable.

amardev - 12 Jun 2009 16:29 - 10727 of 11056

Well Done Spaceman

Regards
Amar

It goes down sue (supposed to anyway)

Plateman - 14 Jun 2009 20:25 - 10729 of 11056

Anybody else having problems with MT4, "terminal.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close"

Seymour Clearly - 14 Jun 2009 20:48 - 10730 of 11056

Yes, same here Plateman. I'm getting an "invalid login" on an EA I'm running then it crashes. Suspected it was the EA, but your post makes me think it's something else. Are you running any of Hils EAs? My account's with Alpari. You?

Plateman - 14 Jun 2009 20:52 - 10731 of 11056

Yes, Alpari and EA's, but it's the same on ODL also running EA's on that account. The error message that I get is the one that gives you a choice of sending a report to MS.

Seymour Clearly - 14 Jun 2009 20:56 - 10732 of 11056

Not quite the same, but it looks like an MT4 bug from this angle. I might try and remove the EAs from the experts folder and see if it still loads. Busy for half an hour or so though.

Plateman - 14 Jun 2009 20:58 - 10733 of 11056

Looking forward to hearing how you get on SC, have open positions on both so a little worrying.

Edit Alpari platform seems stable without the EA.

jeffmack - 14 Jun 2009 21:15 - 10734 of 11056

My ODL seems ok

PeterG - 14 Jun 2009 21:15 - 10735 of 11056

I'm getting exactly the same message as Plateman (Alpari UK). I'm still on a demo account so I'll leave it for tonight. Hope you manage to get something sorted out.

Plateman - 14 Jun 2009 21:27 - 10736 of 11056

Both back OK now, may have been maintenance while the market is closed, hope yours is OK as well SC.

Seymour Clearly - 14 Jun 2009 21:33 - 10737 of 11056

Yup, mine OK now too. Wonder what that was all about? Also have 2 open positions, although one has a profit locked in and the other has TP & SLs set.

Edit, guess it must have been someone doing maintenance somewhere.
