PM

Apart from the joint presentation that WalMart and Naturworks are doing, I don't see their names on the list, nor for that matter, is Stanelco's. Are those companies listed above the attendees or exhibitors or both?

Hi All,

Remember a few months ago, I posted details of IBAW http://www.ibaw.org, and said I was hoping to get Stanelco to join them, so I had E-Mailed Marko Schnarr, and HW in the hope of getting them together .... WELL I DID .... IT WORKED !!!!

I got an E-Mail from Marko to that effect today :)

http://www.ibaw.org/eng/seiten/about_us_members.html#Anker538777

Check out some of the other names in the group, VERY IMPRESSIVE, includes Natureworks and Tetrapak, and the idea is that they work TOGETHER :)

Cheers,
PM

Services for Members

IBAW is supporting its members in many ways:

Legislation and framework conditions: Monitoring issues, representing the industry's views and providing information and data to European and national institutions. We are also building alliances with other stakeholders of the sector, e.g. with APME, EuPC, Copa-Cogeca, ERRMA, CEFIC, ORBIT, ECN, BPS, BPI and many others to shape and optimize framework conditions.

Communications and pre-marketing: Generating and disseminating information on environmental aspects and industry developments. The IBAW makes use of all public relations tools, press releases and press conferences, expert articles for the media, the internet, we also provide information at fairs, exhibitions and events. We thus contribute intensively to create a very postive image of this new material class and to transfer it to the industrial players involved.

Tools for QM and marketing: IBAW is owner of the compostability label, a worldwide protected brand for the labeling of compostable BDP products. The logo is awarded to products that fulfil certification criteria. It is more and more used as the label for BDP products in Europe.
Special member services

Information transfer: Members of the IBAW receive information firsthand either by means of circulars (15-20 newsletters a year) or on secure Internet pages. We exclusively inform our members on future developments, e.g. changes in framework conditions, new funding programs, market opportunities etc.
Business requests derived from our PR are sent directly to our members.

Public relations & press work: We publish press releases and link the websites of our members on our website (appr. 10.000 hits per week in 2005).
We communicate highlights of product and market development in expert media via articles and press releases.

Consulting: We support you with relevant information and business matching: various addresses are available, our widespread contacts to BDP companies can be used (manufacturers, converters, users etc.). European projects can be supported and co-ordinated by us. IBAW shares knowledge and experiences among members.

Organization of meetings, demonstrations and trade fairs: IBAW organizes events, expert meetings and conferences, e.g. the International "Advanced Bioplastics" Symposium, as well as exhibitions and tradefairs, where members can showcase their products, e.g. at the interpack 2005, BioFach 2005 and International Green Week 2004.
We also present the material development and products to key decision makers and politicians on social events and conferences.

Oily Hi,

Wal-Mart have announced they are doing the joint presentation with Natureworks, I posted a link earlier. The list is the attendees, as Albertsons are also presenting, but not listed on that list, a tad confusing I agree !

Stanelco will most likely get one of the tabletop exhibition spaces, see my post at 19:07, and if you also read the brochure, you will see that every session is followed by time for 'networking'

Cheers,
PM

belisce6 - 06 Oct 2005 19:39 - 10735 of 27111

way to expensive for me to attend (the Dec. event).....
would be good to get hold of the presentation after he does it.....

paulmasterson1 - 06 Oct 2005 19:41 - 10736 of 27111

Belisce Hi,

Thats one reason why I E-Mailed Matt Kistler, hopefully he might send me some info after the show, if he cannot send any beforehand :)

Cheers,
PM

Oilywag - 06 Oct 2005 19:44 - 10737 of 27111

If Stanelco are going to be there and hopefully make a big impression on those attending, they should surely be on the list?!

"Will most likely get one of the tabletop exhibition spaces" seems a little iffy, uncertain and hesitant by a company trying to leave a massive footprint on the proceedings.

I did peruse the brochure and saw the networking after each session. I think that SEO should be sponsoring something at a Forum of this importance to really get in the faces of the decision makers/movers and shakers in this industry. After all, the US is where SEO is hoping to really kickstart a revolution in packaging.

paulmasterson1 - 06 Oct 2005 19:50 - 10738 of 27111

Oily Hi,

SEO aren't big enough to sponsor yet, that would not look great to the bigger companies, a small lossmaking(currently) company throwing cash at a show, or doing any big advertising, etc.

I doubt any of the smaller companies will be listed, there is only big companies in that list, and getting tabletop space is for the smaller companies to show off their wares to the big companies, easy, cheap, perfect.

Also if as I expect, Natureworks and Wal-Mart are going to do all the talking for Stanelco, what more of a show do you want ????

Cheers,
PM

Oilywag - 06 Oct 2005 19:53 - 10739 of 27111

Re your last sentence, point taken ..... providing a large part of their presentation concentrates on the benefits of Starpol and Greenseal working in tandem.

Paul, are you insane, or just a 23 year old programmer on a high? Well, not my question but a friend of mine I showed the BB to. Personally I enjoy the Googling and think you are doing a good job. Forgive my friend.

Niels Hi,

LOL !

I hope you squelched all the drivelers first, don't want you being acused of corrupting what could be/become an 'honest investor' :)

shamona - 06 Oct 2005 22:50 - 10742 of 27111

Well just wasted 15 minutes catching up, oily posted the only relevant fact in that Stanelco are not officialy at the show; mastersons poor attempt at a response shows how blinkered his views are in the regard to this company, first rule of investing; never fall in love with a stock.

His specs are now so rose tinted his views have became tainted, one should always consider negatives as well as positives, at the moment all he can see are the positives, if it's negative he'll spin it to suit his view.

His email reply showed what a conceited chap he is, the response was obviously a standard copied reply to all who email the poor chap yet he makes out it was a special one off in reply to his questions. It wouldn't surprise a bit that in the future Stanelco put an injunction on this chap to stop his harrasment of them and potential customers, he may already have done some damage imo.

Stanelco will be strongly represented at the Philadelphia packaging show.

The show is only two weeks away.

This is a great international company in the making.

Hope the current marked price of 14p doesn't give too much of a shock. Actual spread is 14p to 15.25p so an error, confirmed by L2. Presumably chartists will confirm that there should be support at 14p.

Surprised at shamona. Can't see why there should be a bounce off 15p; should wait to see whether 14p is an effective support as trend could carry on through that figure. His policy is stated as buying undervalued emerging stocks. That was why I bought into SEO at 6.4p. He is also happy to short shares which have been over-hyped and thus over-valued. That was why I sold 90% at 20p to 28p and the balance at 17p. But why a bounce now? OK, it could come on the fundamentals of a positive announcement. But the last RNS indicates that any RNS is likely to be about Starpol, not Greenseal. The sp is still primarily about Greenseal. I have suggested that an appropriate cap., with Greenseal on ASDA alone, is something around 100m pounds though that is ball-park.

But the important thing to stress is that Stanelco, the company not the share, is doing very well and is very promising. Greenseal is becoming established through the ASDA contract: the potential could be very substantial but that is in the process of being proved at the first major contract. The company is putting a major part of its time and effort in establishin a broad base of products. They are working on a timescale of years rather than months. Its a realisation i remember having with Alizyme (AZM) that the timescale of the management is not necessarily that of many investors and certainly not the traders.

So, bos, what about your comments re selling at at 13p or thereabouts. No way, because that is proably a reasonable value for the company at present. I am with andysmith that the value in two or three years time will be many times that but a lot of water has to flow under the bridge before that time. I think if I was still in I would probably hold. But we need to see the bottom before buying; that doesn't mean buying on a bounce but rather when it breaks out consistently from ii's downward trend. Or, and its a big OR, when there is a change in the fundamentals that means that the has been left behind - a sinificant US Greenseal deal (but that has not been flagged at present). Long term investors should still have a smile on their faces if they bought at the turn of the year or before. By the way, bos, could you change the chart at the top to cover the year from Jan as it gives a much better picture - we may even see the long-term trend line when the share has bottomed out.

Eric

bosley - 07 Oct 2005 07:53 - 10745 of 27111

morning eric, i will work on the chart later. just to clarify, my opinion of seo hasn't changed , i just don't see why i should watch all my profit disappear.... if the share is going to continue to go lower , why not buy back at a cheaper price and increase my shareholding? as to what a fair value of seo is, who knows? people's opinions change by the week.

Greyhound - 07 Oct 2005 08:20 - 10746 of 27111

I spoke to Investor Relations at Stanelco a week or two ago and they confirmed that they will be attending and were working on their presentations.

hewittalan6 - 07 Oct 2005 08:43 - 10747 of 27111

Well somebody is buying this morning. 2 million in 3 trades in 1 minute?!
Who knows!!
