Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

Daves... NASADAQ listing was not spectacular which
some speculators were hoping it would be... Director sold
some stock (albeit to take up options) and I believe the
shorters were out in force. Press reckons it was unwinding
of CFD positions.. Man (of man direct CFDs fame) announced
that they own 5%, 99% sure this was to cover their CFD
positions, so a big unwinding of that could have caused
the 14M volume yesterday.
Still reckon there will be an announcement soon on a new deal.
I was interested to read that when the price hit 94p yesterday
"traders" reckoned it could trigger a take over bid.... love the
bulletin bvoard rumour mill!!!!

I think the pull back showed a lot of support
in the nineties, IMHO the MM,s have a lot of stock at
110 to offload at around the 112 level, so will stay
there for a while and they will try to get it
there as soon as...NASDAQ trading at 20.40 (135 sterling)
so that must go down or the UK (by far the biggest volume
should go up.... a little simplistic but thats my plan!

bradley - noticed you mention Man and CFD's. I use GNI, which is part of Man to trade CFD's and as far as I'm aware they never keep stock in house. Every trade is put immediately and directly to the market, so not sure what this is about apart from declaring an awful lot of CFD traders are trading BPRG.
..........but then that should surprise no-one! ;-))

Big Al... I spoke to Man today about opening an account
on the CFD platform, and they said they offlay all their
net trades... i.e whatever net position they have they
cover it in the market... so there must be a lot of
cfd trades out there....unless yesterday was a big dump
(so to speak).. I guess we will find out if Man make another
announcemenbt about their holdings (they must announce when
their position goes through a percentage point, up or down).
and they have to report on T1... apparently

bradley - I can confirm that I see all my GNI CFD trades go through on the trades blotter since I started with them about 2 1/2 years ago.
I suppose the news of their holdings is probably the cumulative amount held by traders, but can't be sure on this. Might ask my account handler next time we speak.

Also worth checking out Micap (MIC), a recently quoted small cap in the high tec micro-encapsulation sector with huge growth potential. This is a stock I like the look of a lot. Big correction in the last few days and the subject of an analyst upgrade. Earnings growth to 2005 will be 115% and forecast year 2 is 900%. They have an R&D expertise in the encapsulation of single cell organisms, in particular yeast which is a much sought after technology in flavours, agrochemicals and pharmacueticals - especially given growing evidence being demonstrated via in vitro studies showing efficacy of yeast based encapsulation in phase 1 clinincal trials (recently licenced 10 drugs to Skyepharma). GSK, Astrazeneca and Fertin are known to be interested in a licencing deal and feasibility studies underway - as revenues transfer into more predictable royalty based revenue streams then we should see the stock begin to take off. A real niche player, well managed and on a road to transformation as they move quickly into the cash generation phase.

joehargan1 - MIC was a company I looked at a couple of months ago. I might revisit my research as there's always more than one "BPRG". ;-)))

Big Al.... BPRG bit me in the bum this week, but with
some fancy footwork (and fiance scaring risks)
things have not turned out too bad.
Interesting situation this morning though, bought again at
106 as a punt on a run up to 110... my evil plan appears to
be on the right track... at 110 though lots of dumpers IMHO,
so I will have to cut short my fag breaks... ;-)
Having real trouble with a cfd system, Mans system cant
get past my firewall (whatever that means) so having to
get techs in!!
