Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Fred1new - 13 Dec 2018 10:41 - 10806 of 12628

or perhaps!

Fred1new - 13 Dec 2018 10:42 - 10807 of 12628

? General election 2019???

That will learn them!

Martini - 13 Dec 2018 10:44 - 10808 of 12628

That’s right Fred stick to reposting cartoons. It’s less intellectually challenging for you.

Fred1new - 13 Dec 2018 10:46 - 10809 of 12628

I quite agree.

Try it sometime, it may improve your postings and perspective.

Clocktower - 13 Dec 2018 10:49 - 10810 of 12628

The last cartoon is spot on Fred - but neither will JC need any Number 10 Keys

A couple of Steps the British should take right now just to start the ball rolling:

Stop buying German - French & Italian Cars

Take Holidays out of the Euro Zone.

Only buy Wines from other parts of the World other than from Euro Zone producers.

cynic - 13 Dec 2018 11:03 - 10812 of 12628

you mean buy british like bentley or mini cooper?

Clocktower - 13 Dec 2018 11:05 - 10813 of 12628

No I mean buy Aston Martins cynic.

Clocktower - 13 Dec 2018 11:07 - 10814 of 12628

Cynic, but for those with less money try a Ford.

cynic - 13 Dec 2018 11:11 - 10815 of 12628

except that mercedes is still a shareholder in aston

Clocktower - 13 Dec 2018 11:38 - 10816 of 12628

Not a problem cynic, its the jobs that count and we mainly export the cars.

iturama - 13 Dec 2018 13:36 - 10817 of 12628

Better buying Toyota. The Landcruiser and Hilux cannot be beaten as off-roaders. The Prius and Yaris hybrids are probably best in class. Little wonder the Prius is the taxi drivers favourite. I prefer the Lexus range to anything BMW or Mercedes can offer. But that is personal taste and experience.

Haystack - 13 Dec 2018 13:52 - 10818 of 12628

I see little has changed.

cynic - 13 Dec 2018 13:59 - 10819 of 12628

nor even progress with these damn brexit negotiations

despite an apparent willingness, i cannot imagine how all parties will work out a clause that will allow uk to pull the plug on this ireland issue yet leave frictionless (borderless) trade between the two parts

Fred1new - 13 Dec 2018 14:15 - 10820 of 12628

An ask too many.

cynic - 13 Dec 2018 14:31 - 10821 of 12628

from what i understand, there is actually a willingness on both sides, but it seems to be the mechanics that are so difficult

Clocktower - 13 Dec 2018 14:41 - 10822 of 12628

If you wrap a turd in Christmas Paper it remains a turd, and that is all TM will at best bring back. Let them keep their Xmas wrapping and stick it!

If TM runs the clock down and labour caves in to her deal rather tha get a real Brexit then JC`s days are numbered.

cynic - 13 Dec 2018 14:54 - 10823 of 12628

so tell me albeit in an amateurish way, exactly how you think "your" brexit could be put together and to work from day 1

Clocktower - 13 Dec 2018 15:12 - 10824 of 12628

LOL cynic, In the same way as the likes of Mogg & co. i.e. Put nothing down on paper then you can declare that eveything is going to plan, and anyway it was always TM`s fault for not planning for a clean break. Hey Ho, within weeks you would have 17.2 million people Happy.

cynic - 13 Dec 2018 15:16 - 10825 of 12628

oh, so you think that at day 1 she should have told the other 27 to stick their club up their arses and uk goes on its merry way with no repercussions or anything else?
